멀티 데이타베이스 시스템에서 가장 중요한 사항은 지역 자치성의 보장과 전역적 일관성을 유지하는 것이다. 전역적 일관성은 전역 동시성 제어 알고리즘과 회복 알고 리즘에 의해 유지될 수 있다. 본 논문은 지역 자치성을 보장하면서 전역적 직렬성을 만족하는 전역 동시성 제어 알고리즘과 지역 자치성을 보장하면서 각종 고장으로부터 멀티 데이타베이스를 회복할 수 있는 전역 회복 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 전역 동시성 제어 알고리즘은 상향식 방법으로 3단계 트랜잭션 처리 모델에 기반을 두고, 지역 트랜잭션들로 인하여 부트랜잭션들 사이에 간접 충돌이 발생할 때 서버에서 가상 연산을 사용하여 지역 데이타베이스 시스템에서 수행되는 부트랜잭션들의 수행 순서와 직렬화 순서가 동일하게 유지할 수 있도록 함으로써 간접 충돌 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 저 전역 모듈에서는 충돌 관계가 있는 전역 트랜잭션들에 대해서만 전역적 직렬성을 검사 함으로써 전역적 직렬성 검사를 더욱 효율적으로 할 수 있다.

This essay offers a historically based critique of the idea of "alternative modernities" that has acquired popularity in scholarly discussions over the last two decades. While significant in challenging Euro/American-centered conceptualizations of modernity, the idea of "alternative modernities" (or its twin, "multiple modernities") is open to criticism in the sense in which it has acquired currency in academic and political circles. The historical experience of Asian societies suggests that the search for "alternatives" long has been a feature of responses to the challenges of Euromodernity. But whereas "alternative" was conceived earlier in systemic terms, in its most recent version since the 1980s cultural difference has become its most important marker. Adding the adjective "alternative" to modernity has important counter-hegemonic cultural implications, calling for a new understanding of modernity. It also obscures in its fetishization of difference the entrapment of most of the "alternatives" claimed--products of the reconfigurations of global power--within the hegemonic spatial, temporal and developmentalist limits of the modernity they aspire to transcend. Culturally conceived notions of alternatives ignore the common structural context of a globalized capitalism which generates but also sets limits to difference. The seeming obsession with cultural difference, a defining feature of contemporary global modernity, distracts attention from urgent structural questions of social inequality and political injustice that have been globalized with the globalization of the regime of neoliberal capitalism. Interestingly, "the cultural turn" in the problematic of modernity since the 1980s has accompanied this turn in the global political economy during the same period. To be convincing in their claims to "alterity", arguments for "alternative modernities" need to re-articulate issues of cultural difference to their structural context of global capitalism. The goal of the discussion is to work out the implications of these political issues for "revisioning" the history and historiography of modernity.

The studies of correspondence between novel and nation-state, among which The Rise of the Novel by Ian Watt is supposed to be the first book, have flourished for more than twenty years, encouraged by Benedict Anderson's and Cathy Davidson's works. According to them, the novel should come simultaneously with, or after the foundation of the nation-state, and testify to its production or the emergence of its subject/citizen. This paper questions about these prepositions, trying to introduce a new paradigmatical approach, "between global and transnational historical approach," to first novels in transatlantic areas including England and atlantic coastal areas. In its complex relation to a variety of colonial, post-colonial, and transnational geopolitics, various cultural practices such as history, traveler's tales and epistolary novels can be included in the genre of the novel. The idea of the sexual contract by Carole Pateman is very useful because it helps more clearly understand the nature of relation between men and women in the capitalist reproduction, while the social contract tells about the relation between men as citizens. Unlike Freud in Totem and Taboo, Zilboorg argues that there were primordial and violent scenes such as rape before the first sexual contract. This paper will illuminate that "the rise of the novel" corresponded with the emergence of the sexual contract. In the so-called first novel Pamela, the heroine Pamela was threatened to be violated by Mr. B., and was really even confined in his cottage. Mary Rowlandson's The Captive Narrative shows that her body was confined as an English female captive, and troubled with imaginary rape by Indians which resulted in the unequal sexual contract between her and her puritan community in America. However, Leonora Sansay's Secret History in an alternative communality, which was not a nation-state, was different from both novels mentioned above, in that it shows the possibility of emancipation from their unequal marriage, the sexual contract. Therefore, it can be argued that "between global and transnational historical approach" has a possibility to provide a new vision of global sisterhood and solidarity to recognize globalized women's violence, and free themselves from the unequal sexual contract.

가족이야기(familyHistory)를 중심으로한 지능형 스토리텔링 기획지원도구란 가족의 역사, 개인의 인물사등 선형적인 서사 장르의 이야기의 저작 과정을 지원하는 도구이다. 서사의 영역은 극, 신화, 전설, 역사 등의 언어적 서사물 뿐만 아니라, 영화, 연극, 발레, 오페라 등의 비언어적 서사도 포괄되나 본 연구에서는 언어적 서사물로서 각 가정의 구성원에 대한 인물사 및 가족역사를 중심으로 한다. 본 스토리텔링 기획 지원 도구는 샘플DB와 지식DB를 통하여 가정의 역사와 이야기에 대한 장르별 스토리텔링을 재구성하고, 내용의 가치와 완성도 높은 이야기를 구축하는데 있어서 적극적으로 활용 가능하다. 스토리텔링 기획에 소요되는 시간을 단축하고, 인력과 비용의 최소화를 지향 한다. 가족, 가정에 대한 스토리텔링은 창작 콘텐츠의 가장 원초적인 기반을 이루는 핵심적 단계이나 누구나 쉽게 접근하여 작성할 수 있는 기획 및 저작도구는 전무한 상태이다. 창작 인프라가 부족한 한국의 현황에서 본 연구가 제시한 기획지원도구는 대중이 쉽게 사용할 수 있고, 매커니즘을 개방화, 구조화 시킴으로서 향후 다양한 장르의 콘텐츠 창작 도구로 연동 가능한 모델을 설계하고 연구하고자 한다.

Due to the plethora of political, economic, and social challenges experienced on a global scale in the 21st century, students need to be concerned with more than their immediate surroundings (Johnson, 2005). When implemented in an educational setting, topics encompassing social justice may provide students with the confidence and skills to become "reflective, moral, caring, and active citizens in a troubled world" (Banks and Banks, 2009, p.5). The purpose of this article was to provide examples of undergraduate lessons focused on sweatshop conditions within three time periods of United States history that incorporate social justice into the course curriculum. By implementing social justice lessons into the curriculum, students can engage in critical reading, writing, and thinking about injustices faced by society. Girded with knowledge of past oppression within the apparel industry, students may become actively engaged in challenging social injustices in our world.

The purpose of this research is to discuss the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd. Founded in 1997, Geely Automotive Group has grown from a small workshop to one of China's leading automakers after nearly three decades of development.This paper first reviews the development of Geely Automobile, from the initial small-scale production to the current global layout and diversified product line. Secondly, it analyzes the challenges and opportunities faced by Geely Automobile, including the intensification of market competition and the changing demand for technological innovation.And put forward the future development strategy of Geely Automobile, including improving the quality of products, expanding the international market and promoting the development of new energy vehicles. By analyzing the development history and future strategy of Geely Automobile Group Co., Ltd., we can better understand the company's position and future development direction in China's automobile industry.

본 연구는 국제 커뮤니케이션 네트워크에 존재하는 국가들의 하위집단을 분석하여 국제 커뮤니케이션 현상에 대한 실증적 이해를 높이고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 전 세계 트위터 사용자의 커뮤니케이션 데이터를 수집하여 국제 커뮤니케이션 네트워크를 구성하였으며, 국제연합과 세계경제포럼에서 사용하는 국가의 지리적, 경제적 속성을 추가하였다. 국제 커뮤니케이션 네트워크에서 국가의 위치를 파악하기 위하여 중심성 분석과 핵심-주변 분석을 실시하였으며, 하위집단의 커뮤니케이션 관계를 이해하기 위하여 하위집단 내와 하위집단 간의 응집력을 분석하였다. 또한 국제 커뮤니케이션 네트워크에 내재되어 있는 하위집단을 발견하기 위하여 군집 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과에 의하면, 국제 커뮤니케이션 네트워크에는 핵심 국가들이 중심적인 위치를 차지하는 핵심-주변 구조가 있는 것으로 나타났으며 경제적 수준에 따른 국제 커뮤니케이션의 위계 구조가 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 군집 분석을 통해 경제, 지리, 역사, 문화, 종교 등 다양한 내용의 동질감을 갖는 하위집단을 발견하였다.

Whilst it is clear that increasing temperatures from global environmental change will impact the positions of alpine treelines, it is likely that a range of regional and local scaled factors will mediate the overall impact of global scale climate drivers. We summarized 12 categories of abiotic and biotic factors as 4 groups determining treeline positions. First, there are global factors related to climate-induced growth limitation and carbon limitation. Second, there are seven regional and local factors related to treeline dynamics including frost stress, topography, water stress, snow, wind, fire and non-fire disturbance. Third, species-specific factors can control treeline dynamics through their influence on reproduction and life history traits. Fourth, there are positive feedbacks in structuring the dynamics of treelines. Globally, the commonly accepted growth limitation hypothesis is that growth at a treeline is limited by temperature. Meanwhile, positive feedbacks between canopy cover and tree establishment are likely to control the spatial pattern and temporal dynamics of many treelines. The presence of non-linear dynamics at treelines has implications for the use of treelines as barometers of climate change because the lagged responses and abrupt shifts inherent in non-equilibrium systems may combine to mask the overall climate trend.

Whistler mode chorus waves, which are observed outside the plasmasphere of the Earth's magnetosphere, play a major role in accelerating and scattering energetic electrons in the radiation belts. In this study we developed a predicting scheme of the global distribution of chorus by using the Time History of Events and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms (THEMIS) satellite data. First, we determined global spatial distributions of chorus activity, and identified fit functions that best represent chorus intensities in specific L-MLT zones. Second, we determined the specific dependence of average chorus intensity on preceding solar wind conditions (e.g., solar wind speed, IMF Bz, energy coupling degree) as well as preceding geomagnetic states (as represented by AE, for example). Finally, we combined these two results to develop the predicting functions for the global distribution and intensity of chorus. Implementing these results in the radiation belt models should improve the local acceleration effect by chorus waves.

H maritime company in Korea had a long history of difficulty in obtaining enough empty containers to transport its commodities. Despite efforts to resolve the problem, the repositioning of empty containers between depots was still planned manually, which consumed much worker time. To automate the generation of reposition plans, we developed a planning system to optimize the company's reposition of empty containers between global depots with a linear programming model functioning as a key decision engine in the system. The model determines the route, volume and mode of transportation for repositioning empty containers from depots with surplus containers to those requiring containers, as well as the empty space of ships generated from the unloading or loading of full and empty containers. The system has been in operation in the company's global network since March 2008.
