International contractors must consider the substantial risks related to unexpected foreign exchange fluctuation incurred by conducting their business and using foreign currencies in foreign countries. Most international contractors attempt to minimize foreign exchange exposure within a manageable range because it may influence the company's fundamental financial structure, reduce market value or profit margins, or disrupt ongoing and future projects. This research provides a qualitative study of existing foreign exchange exposure (transaction, operation, and translation exposure) and current & effective foreign exchange risk management in American and Korean international contractors, as they represent both new and long-time members of the global construction market. Finally, recommendations of techniques for new and existing international contractors to minimize and better manage foreign exchange risk will be offered.

최근 우리나라 주택 시장은 잦은 정책 변화 등 내부적 요소와 해외 경제 환경 변화 등 외부적 요소에 의해 예측할 수 없는 상황이 계속되고 있다. 특히 미래 주택 시장에 대한 가격, 수요, 공급을 예측하는 데에 있어 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 따라 주택 시장 변화에 대한 다양한 분석이 이루어지고 있으나 부분적이고 단편적인 시각이 주를 이루고 있어, 인과관계에 따른 주택시장을 분석할 수 있는 시스템적 논리의 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 주택의 수요와 공급에 의해 결정되는 주택시장의 기본 원리를 바탕으로 시스템 다이내믹스(System Dynamics)를 이용한 주택 시장 작동 원리를 작성하여, 내 외부 환경변화에 따른 주택 시장의 영향을 파악할 수 있는 기본 모형을 구축하고자 한다.

The global plant construction market has grown dramatically since 2000. As the market grows, domestic EPC contractors are expanding to meet its needs and have made great strides in terms of economic indicators from a decade ago. Larger projects involve a number of risk factors, such as volatile oil prices, however, and thus require quantitative and elaborate project management techniques for the ultimate success of a project's profitability. In addition, many Korean companies face difficulties in predicting potential risks and problems due to a lack of experience in dealing with the global market trend toward projects based on the Cost-re(Cost Reimbursable) contract as opposed to those based on the LSTK(Lumpsum Turnkey) contract. This study will examine methods and types of man-hour management according to plant project contract types. Further, it will explore the man-hour management system for successful completion of projects by satisfying the client's needs and enhancing the convenience in engineers' using the system. Additionally, this study will analyze the current system and identify its problems to address potential problems.

우리나라 해외건설 누적 수주 금액은 2012년 6월을 기준으로 5,000억 달러를 달성하였으며 더 나아가 2020년 1조 달러를 목표로 하고 있다. 또한 국내 건설기업들도 해외건설시장 진출을 목적으로 여러 전략을 구상하고 있다. 이러한 목표 달성을 위한 방안으로 본 연구에서는 해외건설 리스크가 적은 ODA 자금을 활용한 해외건설 진출 사업을 제안하였다. 사업 진출을 위한 건설기업의 ODA사업 역량 수준을 분석하기 위해 FGD 기법을 활용하여 34개의 역량 요인을 선정하였고 전문가들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 BSA 모델을 통해 분석하였다. 사업단계별 중요 관리 요인은 기획 및 발굴(6개), 수주 및 마케팅(6개), 엔지니어링 및 시공(3개) 등 총 15개의 항목이 도출되었다. 이중 가장 기업들에게 필요한 역량강화 항목으로 클레임 및 리스크, 수주활동을 위한 기업의 역량, 그리고 정부의 적극적인 지원으로 나타났다. 각 단계별 중요 관리 요인은 역량별 역할 주체에 따라 개선하여 향후 ODA자금을 활용한 사업 수주 경쟁에 있어서 경쟁우위를 확보할 수 있도록 준비해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

최근 국내건설경기의 침체와 더불어 기업들은 무한경쟁을 뚫고 기업경쟁력강화 및 국제화, 세계화에 능동적으로 참여하기 위하여 부단한 노력을 기울이고 있으며, 당사 또한 2003년부터 해외로 진출하여 현재까지 크고 작은 용역 등을 수행한 결과, 미국, 몽고, 괌 등에 진출하여 성공적인 용역 업무를 진행하고 있다. 본 내용에서는 당사가 수행중인 프로젝트에 대하여 그동안 진행되었던 상황 등을 살펴보면서, 리스크에 대한 대응자세, 정치 경제 사회 문화적인 차이에서 발생될 수 있는 사항 등의 분석 및 해결방안을 제시함으로써 향후 외국에 진출하고자 하는 기업 및 글로벌 스탠다드에 동참하고자 하는 기업들이 사례로 활용하는데 도움이 되고자한다.

Despite the significant increase of Korean contractors in the international construction market, many SMCCs (Small & Medium Construction Companies) have suffered in the global financial crisis, and some of them have been kicked out of the international market after experiencing huge losses on projects. SMCCs face obstacles in the international market, such as an insufficient ability to gather information and inappropriate management of associated risks, which lead to difficulties in establishing effective business strategies. In other words, making immature decisions without an effective business strategy may cause not only the failure of one project but also the bankruptcy of the SMCC. To overcome this, the research presented herein aims to propose a decision support system for SMCCs, which would screen projects and make a go/no-go decision at the early stages of international projects. The proposed system comprises a double axis: (1) a profit prediction model, which evaluates 10 project properties using an objective methodology based on a historical project performance database and roughly suggests expected profit rate, and (2) a feasibility assessment model, which evaluates 17 project environment factors in a subjective and quantitative methodology based on experience and supervision. Finally, a web-based system is established to enhance the practical usability, which is expected to be a good reference for inexperienced SMCCs to make proper decisions and establish effective business strategies.

As the zero interest rate era was over with the end of quantitative easing, the economy of several global markets observed the fluctuations of the base interest rate. Interest rate, which is the change of money value with respect to time, is negatively correlated with construction investment. Considering the characteristics of interest rates and construction investment as economic variables, the necessity of cross-border analysis between base interest rate and construction investment was suggested in this paper. Cross-correlation analysis between base interest rates and construction investment crossing the border was performed. The effective correlations were confirmed with values varying by countries. Similar characteristics were also observed among countries with similar economy, which were then divided into three groups. Additionally, identifying the base interest rate that affects the construction investment of a particular country was made possible by reflecting a self-cycle of base interest rates. Lastly, from the result of examining the influence of each rise and fall of the interest rate, it was verified that the difference was more than twice as large in some countries. These results are expected to contribute to construction-related policy makers or investors to make decisions in response to the economic status of the construction market.

모듈러 공법은 건설 산업 경쟁력 강화를 위한 하나의 방안으로 주목받고 있다. 최근 핵가족화로 인한 소형주택의 수요 증가, 건식공법으로 변화되는 건설 산업 환경, 친환경 건설에 대한 요구 등에 따라 모듈러 공법 시장은 큰 성장세가 기대되고 있다. 하지만 아직 모듈러 업체들이 표준화되지 않은 내역체계로 공사를 수행하고 있어 공사비에 대한 리스크가 증가될 우려가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 모듈러 공법의 특징과 프로세스가 반영된 내역체계를 개발하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 우선 모듈러 공법, WBS, CBS의 개념 정리 및 일반 RC공사에 쓰이는 표준 내역서를 분석하고 모듈러 공법이 적용된 사례 분석과 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 모듈러 공법 내역체계에 적합한 작성기준들을 선정하였다. 한편 모듈러 공법은 공장생산 비율이 높기 때문에 프로젝트 흐름을 반영하여 모듈러 공장제작, 모듈러 현장시공, 일반 현장시공으로 체계를 크게 구분하였으며 각 내역 항목들 중에서도 모든 현장에 공통으로 적용이 가능한지 아닌지, 규격 변경 또는 내역 삭제가 가능한지 아닌지 등을 표시하였고 마지막으로 숫자로 구성된 코딩을 넣음으로써 모듈러 공법의 특징이 반영된 내역서를 개발하였다. 이는 모듈러 공법 공사비 예측 정확도를 높여 공사비에 대한 리스크를 절감시키고, 더 나아가 모듈러 공법 활성화에 기여할거라 기대된다.

This article focuses on subject of the present question to traditional market. These days traditional markets have systemic problems due to deterioration of the outer market circumstance and the inner defect and the inner frailty. In this situation, from the SangNam market case analysis, was traced the alternative activation strategies. Issued the 6 inner competency competition strategies for traditional market and issued 7 functional frame for organization system construction. Struggle strategies is built up of the inner organization solidarity and effective management system. So as to build struggle strategies, suggested and issued the 4 phase organization frame to strength stage of traditional market organization operating.

The main purpose of the study is to analyze the information aspects of the impact of COVID-19 on the labor market in the EU and Ukraine. In addition to studying the key parameters of changes in the labor market under the influence of COVID-19, i.e. the unemployment rate and the share of the employed population, a thorough study of gender equality, labor migration and the impact on youth made it possible to characterize the effectiveness of the policy of stabilization and restoration of the labor market in the EU and Ukraine. The results obtained form the necessary information basis for modeling labor market regulation in the event of possible subsequent disturbances, in particular under the influence of global pandemics.
