단초점 근용 안경의 수평방향 설계점 결정에 대한 이해 (The Understanding of Determination of Horizontal Centration Point of Single-vision Reading Glasses)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 서로 다른 기준에 따른 P.D로 제작된 근용 안경을 각각 착용시킨 후에 상대적인 피로 정도를 비교하는 것이 목적이다. 방법: 근용 안경의 굴절력[원용 안경의 굴절력(-)]이 (-)인 사람에게는 원용 P.D와 근용 P.D-B로 제작된 안경을 장용시켜 안정피로 정도를 비교하였고, 근용 안경 굴절력이 (+)[원용 안경 굴절력(+)]인 사람에게는 근용 P.D-B, 원용 P.D, 근용 P.D-A로 조제된 안경을 장용시켜 안정피로 정도를 비교하였다. 근용 P.D-A란 원용 안경의 근거리 시점에서 발생한 기저외방의 프리즘 값과 근용 안경의 시점에서 발생한 프리즘 값이 같도록 감소된 단초점 근용 안경의 중심점간 거리를 의미한다. 결과: 근용 안경의 굴절력[원용 안경 굴절력(-)]이 (-)인 경우에는 원용 P.D로 조제 가공한 경우에 안정피로가 상대적으로 적었다. 근용 안경의 굴절력이 (+)인 경우에는 단정적으로 어떤 설계점 결정방식이 옳다고 확신 할 수는 없지만 데이터 결과에 의할 경우는 근용 P.D-A로 조제 가공한 경우에 상대적으로 더 적은 안정피로를 유발 하였다. 결론: 근용 안경의 굴절력[원용 안경 굴절력(-)]이 (-)인 경우에는 이전의 원용 안경을 착용하고 근거리를 주시한 경우에 근용 주시점에서의 기저내방(Base In)의 효과를 통해 폭주요구량은 감소된다. 따라서 근용 안경(-)은 근거리에서 폭주를 도와준다. 왜냐하면 기저내방의 효과가 원용 안경에 비해 상대적으로 작아졌기 때문이다. 근용 안경의 굴절력[원용 안경 굴절력(+)]이 (+)인 경우에는 상황에 따라 근용 P.D-B, 근용 P.D-A, 원용 P.D를 통해 설계점을 결정 할 수 있다.

  • 근래의 안경 산업은 고객들이 다양하게 선택함에 따라 외적 미모를 위한 개성 연출을 위한 도구로서 활용도가 다양화되고 급증하고 있는 추세이다. 특히, 온라인 쇼핑몰은 IT 기술 발전에 힘입어 다양하고 급속하게 성장하면서 온라인 쇼핑 업체들 사이에 경쟁은 더욱 가열되고 있다. 이로 인하여 온 오프라인에서 업체들의 차별화된 마케팅 전략과 특징이 절실하게 요구되며, 자체 경쟁력 확보를 위한 분석과 투자에 많은 노력을 기울이고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 계층별 구분하지 않고 다양한 계층에서 이용할 수 있는 개인 맞춤형 온라인 안경산업에 초점을 둔 사이트 구축에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 기존의 대표적인 안경 산업의 특징과 산업 서비스 분석을 통해 차별화된 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 서비스 개발과 실용적인 접목이 이루어진다면 비즈니스 모델의 새로운 가치를 도모할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Influence of various metal oxides (PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3) on the mechanical properties and γ-ray attenuation performance of zinc barium borate glasses

  • The current work aims to fabricate metal oxide-doped (PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3, each of which boasts a purity of 99%) zinc barium borate glasses through the melt quenching technique at the 1000 ℃ melting temperature. The results showed that adding 5 mol.% of metal oxides PbO, Fe2O3, Al2O3, and MgO increases the density of the zinc barium borate glasses. Additionally, the fabricated glasses' mechanical properties were determined based on the Makishima-Mackenzie model, which proved that the highest mechanical properties were achieved for glasses doped with Al2O3 compounds. The mechanical moduli for the glasses doped with Al2O3 reach 80.95 GPa (Young), 59.90 GPa (bulk), 31.75 GPa (shear), and 102.23 GPa (longitudinal). Additionally, the Al2O3-doped glasses' microhardness reaches 4.77 GPa. Moreover, estimation of the fabricated glasses' gamma-ray shielding capacity utilized Monte Carlo simulation. The highest linear attenuation coefficients are 29.132, 19.906, 19.243, and 18.923 cm-1 obtained at 0.033 MeV for glasses dopped by PbO, Fe2O3, MgO, and Al2O3, respectively. Therefore, glasses doped with 5 mol.% of PbO have high gamma-ray shielding capacities followed by glasses doped by Fe2O3.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of removing glasses from human frontal facial images. We first detect the regions occluded by the glasses, and generate a natural looking facial image without glasses by recursive error compensation using PCA reconstruction. The resulting image has no trace of the glasses frame, nor of the reflection and shade caused by the glasses. The experimental results show that the proposed method provides an effective solution to the problem of glasses occlusion, and we believe that this method can also be used to enhance the performance of face recognition systems.

  • The present age, it has been often reported that recycling of wasted glasses should be a great topic in related business circles. For the enviromental reasons, a public institution are looking for the ways of recycling these waste glasses. Consequently, the purpose of this research is to recycle crushed and powdered waste glasses by substituting for the cement in mortar and concrete. First of all, the optimum replacement ratio of Powdered Waste Glasses(PWG) can be obtained from the pilot test results. Secondary, we make advances in recycling of waste glasses as recycled to make secondary concrete products. So, we manufactured concrete brick and block contained powdered waste glasses by through mortar pilot test.

  • The waste glasses among plenty of wastes put out lately is limited in recycling and reusing, and the phenomenon hasn't been improved quite much. And besides, the recycling rate shows the 70.1%, relatively low. These waste glasses is currently used for road pavement materials, interior and exterior decorating materials in architecture, road painting meterials, auxiliary lagging materials for heat-retaining, coldness-retaining and soundproofing, and glass bottles. 30% of waste glasses powder is, however, not reused pratically. Therefore, in this research, we operated some tests including flow of mortar mixed with waste glasses powder, setting time, rheology and compressive strength to utilize waste glasses powder put out in the precess of recycling for admixture for repair mortar. As a result, we've found out that we can utilize waste glasses powder for admixture for repair mortar.

  • The removal of accessories from the face is one of the essential pre-processing stages in the field of face recognition. However, despite its importance, a robust solution has not yet been provided. This paper proposes a network and dataset construction methodology to remove only the glasses from facial images effectively. To obtain an image with the glasses removed from an image with glasses by the supervised learning method, a network that converts them and a set of paired data for training is required. To this end, we created a large number of synthetic images of glasses being worn using facial attribute transformation networks. We adopted the conditional GAN (cGAN) frameworks for training. The trained network converts the in-the-wild face image with glasses into an image without glasses and operates stably even in situations wherein the faces are of diverse races and ages and having different styles of glasses.

  • We developed a glasses-free 3D stereoscopic display using an LCD display panel, a view control film and a grating film for stereoscopic viewing. The observer can watch overlapped stereoscopic images for left and right eyes without special glasses such as polarized glasses.
