본 연구는 여고생의 월경곤란증의 실태를 파악하고 수면장애, 스트레스, 불안, 식습관, 월경곤란증의 정도 및 그들 변수 간의 관계와 월경곤란증에 미치는 영향 요인을 알아보고자 하는 서술적 조사연구이다. 대상자는 B광역시 소재 여고생을 대상으로 2020년 10월 12일~11월 6일 총 4주 동안 총 160부의 자료를 수집하였고 SPSS 21.0 Program을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과, 월경곤란증과 수면장애(r=.531, p<.001)와는 강한 순 상관관계를, 스트레스(r=.349, p<.001), 불안(r=.300, p=.003)과는 보통의 순 상관관계를, 식습관(r=-.205, p=.041)과는 약한 역 상관관계를 나타냈다. 월경곤란증에 미치는 영향 요인은 수면장애, 월경기간, 월경주기, 불안 순으로, 전체 설명력은 39.5%로 나타났다. 따라서, 여고생의 월경곤란증을 완화하기 위하여 수면의 질을 높이고 불안을 감소시킬 수 있는 방법과 월경기간 및 월경주기를 정상화 시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색 할 필요가 있다.
Objectives: This study examined ways to promote desirable eating habits by choosing foods with low sugar contents and provide nutrition education in adolescents. Methods: This study was a cross-sectional survey. The sugar reduction perception and knowledge, sugary food preference, and intake frequency of 487 male and female high school students in Incheon were analyzed comparatively. Results: Approximately 94.9% and 94.5% of the subjects were unaware of the promotion of a sugar reduction policy and the sugar reduction in the basic guidelines for school meals, respectively. Approximately 95% of them had not received any sugar reduction nutrition education, and 90% were not interested in sugar reduction. The perception for sugar reduction was significantly higher in girls (3.43 out of 5 points) than in boys (3.16 out of 5 points) (P < 0.001). Knowledge about sugar was 3.65 out of 6 points in girls and 3.04 points in boys (P < 0.001). The preference and intake frequency for fruits of the total students were 4.24 out of 5 points and 2.56, respectively. For beverages, the preference was significantly higher in boys (3.97 points) than in girls (3.70 points) (P < 0.001), and the intake frequency was significantly higher in boys (2.26 points) than in girls (2.08 points) (P < 0.001). The preference for snacks was significantly higher for girls (4.19 points) than boys (4.02 points) (P < 0.01), and the intake frequency was 2.22 points in boys and 2.17 in girls, showing no significant difference. Sugar reduction perception and knowledge about sugar showed significant negative correlations with the snack intake frequency (r = -0.11, P < 0.05; -0.13, P < 0.05) after adjusting for gender, grade, and body mass index. Conclusions: The high school students' perception of sugar reduction was very low, and there was a significant correlation with sugary food intake, suggesting that the sugary food intake will decrease as the sugar reduction perception and knowledge about sugar increase.
The purpose of this study was to find out how much they have several aspects of food related knowledge and eating behaviors of high school students in Sungnam area. The self-administrated questionnaire was used. The result were as follows: 1. The average height of boys and girls was $172.6{\pm}0.7$ cm and $156.3{\pm}1.5$ cm respectively. The average weights of them were $62.4{\pm}0.5$ kg (male) and $47.2{\pm}0.8$ kg (female). BMI (Body Mass Index) of them were $20.74{\pm}0.14$ (male), $18.82{\pm}0.28$ (female). The average age is 16.7 years old. 2. The 66.5% of the subjects were spent more than one-third of their pocket money in buying on light meals during three times a week. There were significant differences between income level of family. Boys spent more money on each meal than girls. And significant differences were also obserbed by their residence area and Bundang residences spent more in buying snacks. 3. The rate of skipping meals was 51.2% in boys compared with 68.0% in girls. The frequencies of buying snacks instead of main meal were high in girls. Time limits in eating may possibly be the main reason for skipping meals (59.8%), especially in the morning. Skipping a breakfast becomes general eating habits in high school students, because of pressure for time to go to school. 4. It is required that parents should be taught to prepare balanced lunch box for their children because the rate of students who prepared two lunch boxes are 49.4%. 5. The students took snacks once or twice a day. They usually bought snacks in school concessions (51.8%) and they selected items of snack instinctivly. The girls ate snacks during lunch break time (31.7%) and after dinner (23.6%). Boys ate snacks after dinner (29.1%). Preference of foods were different by sex. Boys preferred bread (31.7%), milk and otherdairy products (80.8%), cola and soda (42.0%) as their snacks between meals. Girls selected biscuit, chip, beverage, coffee as their snacks, frequently. 6. BMI value of the group who ate between meals more than three times a day was lower $(18.78{\pm}0.65)$ than that of the group who ate nothing between meals $(20.71{\pm}3.79)$. 7. As for the nutritional knowledge, the students generally had higher correct rate of answer about which nutritive components of food has (76.6%). But they had lower knowledge on questions of nutritive values in food (10.6%). There was a meaningful relation between favorite food and nutritional knowledge. In conclusion, there were some problems on nutritional knowledge and eating habits among the high school students. Therefore, it was required that girls should be learned to recognize the importance of breakfast and needed to select balanced meals and snacks. And it was required that the nutrition education should be complemented to motivate and improve practical eating behaviors.
This study explored the terminal values(Rokeach's Value) and 5-money spending styles of girls in Yanbian, China and those in South Korea. The subjects were 466 school girls in Yanbian, China and 498 high school girls in South Korea. We used Cronbach' α, t-test, and Pearson correlation analysis as statistical analysis. The results were summarized as follows : 1) at the top of the terminal value hierarchy of girls in the two countries were family security and happiness. 2) resulting from the t-test, there found significant differences between the 5-money spending styles of the Yanbian girls and that of the Korean girls. 3) resoling from the Pearson correlation analysis, there found similarities and differences in relationship between terminal values and money spending styles in two groups.
Purpose: The objective of this study is to investigate the knowledge and attitude on the contraception and induced abortion in female high school students for providing the fundamental data in developing a practical sexuality education program for the healthy conception and childbirth in female high school students who are in the child-bearing age. Also, this study provides some foundational data for developing prevention education, counsel, and nursing intervention programs. Methods: Data were collected from 270 high school girls by self-report questionnaires from August 1, to September 31, 2010. Data was analyzed by percentage and Pearson correlation coefficient using SPSS/WIN 17.0. Results: The correct rate of contraception and induced abortion were 43.3% and 48.8% respectively. Participants had a moderate attitude toward contraception and a permissive attitude toward induced abortion. Participants who had high score and home sex education were higher correct rate than any other. Conclusion: This study indicates that efforts should be made to provide education on contraception and induced abortion to high school girls to increase awareness. Also, educational programs should be designed to improve knowledge as well as promote a more positive attitude toward contraception and induced abortion.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between health locus of control (HLOC) and the eating behaviors in obese high school girls. The sample consisted of 262 obese high school girls in Seoul and Kangwon-Do. The results of this study were as follows: 1. The average scores of HLOC were HLOC- Internal; 4.06, HLOC-External; 2.47, and HLOC-Chance; 2.15. 2. The average scores of eating behavior factors were Disinhibition ; 2.91, Hunger ; 2.73, Dietary Restraint ; 2.55. 3. The HLOC-Internal and eating behavior (dietary restraint, disinhibition and hunger) were correlated positively. The HLOC- Chance and hunger was correlated positively. But HLOC-Chance and other eating behavior factors (dietary restraint & disinhibition) were not correlated in the level of statistical significances. The HLOC-External and eating behavior (dietary restraint, disinhibition and hunger) were correlated positively. 4. There was not a significant difference in HLOC depending on the existence of an obese sibling. There were significant differences in HLOC-Internal and HLOC- External depending on the evaluation of one's body figure. 5. There were significant differences in disinhibition and hunger depending on the existence of obese sibling. Also, there were significant difference in dietary restraint according to self perception of who is obese or not (t=3.342, p=.001). This study has shown a correlation between HLOC and eating behavior. As a result of these findings, clinical and school nurses should be involved in management and counselling obese girls concerning individual health locus of control and eating behavior.
The purpose of the study was to investigate the body cathexis, ideal body shape, clothing satisfaction and their interrelationships. The subjects were 445 middle- and high- school girls. The findings were as follows : the subjects were more satisfied with their face appearance than body parts. They were very unsatisfied with thigh. leg and weight. Generally they were more satisfied with upper body than lower body, and more satisfied with length measurements than girth measurements. They accepted 169.19cm as ideal height and 49.18kg as ideal weight. The middle-school girls wanted to be taller than high-school girls by 3cm. But the ideal weight of both were almost same. The Rohrer indices indicated that the subjects were normal to slender type. But the Rohrer indices calculated using ideal height and ideal weight showed that the subjects thought extremely slender type as ideal body shape. The attitude of body was evaluated by two factors. the awareness of body shape and the physical attractiveness. The awareness of body shape was deeply influenced by girth measurements and lower body parts. And physical attractiveness was severely affected by face appearance. Weight was more important than height in regard to body cathexis. The ideal body shape was independent of individual situation but was formed by social value. The satisfaction of clothing in terms of design related aspects was influenced by body cathexis. Also the more satisfied with their body. the more they felt comfortable for their clothing. The body cathexis was interrelated with the satisfaction of clothing in some aspects.
This research attempts to analyze the physical characteristics of middle school girls and compare the product sizes and patterns of school uniform blouses by brand. And wearing tests were performed regarding the appearance of blouse by bland. The results are follows. The standard deviation for bust circumference and waist circumference of middle school girls measured in 2004 were showed extremely large difference among individuals compared to the previous results. While waist back length reached adult size by $2^{nd}$ grade high school, bishoulder length reached adult size by $2^{nd}$ grade middle school. And girls after $2^{nd}$ grade middle school had their depth and breadth of bust, underbust circumference and bust circumference growing proportionally. These results need to be reflected in producing a pattern drafting for middle schoolers. By comparing wearing test results on appearance, it was shown that in terms of ease of bust circumference, the expert group evaluated brand with less ease as not having adequate ease compared to brand, while the middle schooler group evaluated as having sufficient ease. The front silhouette also showed same results. This reflects the preference for appearance by the middle schooler group, which is a factor to be considered during pattern drafting of school uniform blouse.
The purpose of this study was to investigate students' satisfaction with, perceived ease of movement of, and perceived fit of high school girls' uniforms according to the uniform design. "P" high school, with a one-piece dress-type uniform, and "H" high school, with a two-piece type uniform, were selected for this study. Sixty-five female students from each school participated in the study. The questionnaire was composed of 21 questions about the school uniforms' purchase behavior, design, fit, ease of movement, and modification and participants' demographic information. Students from both schools were generally satisfied with the uniform design. However, in the open-ended response section, many "P" high school students responded that the fact that the one-piece dress pulled up when sitting or raising the hand made it uncomfortable. On the other hand, "H" high school students responded that the skirt was uncomfortable, because it left the body or underwear exposed when the wind blew due to the many pleats in the skirt. In the assessment of the ease of movement, "P" high school students were more likely to describe the uniform as uncomfortable than "H" high school students. Many students responded that they modified their school uniforms, and the length of the skirt and one-piece dress was the main part that was modified. This study suggests that growing female high school students are unsatisfied with the school uniforms' design and fit. Additionally, the perceived fit and satisfaction levels depend on the uniform design.
This study was based on social comparison theory, and the covariance structure model was designed, connecting sociocultural attitude, multifaceted body image, and clothing behaviour under sociocultural influence. The practical purpose of this study is to identify the effect of sociocultural attitude toward physical appearance on the affective aspect of body images, the cognitive/behavioral aspect of body images and clothing benefits sought, and to examine the age difference in the female adolescents. The results of this were as follows: 1) Sociocultural attitude toward physical appearance had a negative effect directly on the affective aspect of body images, and showed the highest value in the group of high school girls 2) Sociocultural attitude toward physical appearance had a positive influence directly on the cognitive/behavioral aspect of body images, and high school girls'model showed the highest values significantly as well 3) High school girls'model showed the highest value significantly in the effect of the affective aspect of body images on the cognitive/behavioral aspect of body images. However, college group's model didn's show significant value 4) Middle school girls'model showed higher value positively than the other groups in the effect of the cognitive/behavioral aspect of body images on clothing benefits sought, and the high school girls' model showed higher value negatively in the effect of the affective aspect of body images on clothing benefits sought.
