피라미드를 소재로 한 수학 학습 프로젝트 개발 (Developing Mathematical Learning Project Using Pyramid)

  • 수학과에서도 통합을 통한 교육과정 재구성과 학생들이 문제를 제기하여 해결하는 과정을 강조한 프로젝트 학습에 대한 관심이 점차 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 4학년 학생들을 대상으로 '삼각형'을 중심에 둔 '피라미드의 비밀' 프로젝트를 구현한 실제를 소개함으로써, 수학과 프로젝트 학습이 어떠한 의의를 갖는지 탐색해 보고자 한다. 본 연구는 115시간의 주제 중심의 프로젝트의 과정 중 수학과 도형 탐구와 직접적으로 관련된 내용 24시간만 발췌하여 수학적 의미를 재해석한 연구이다. 프로젝트로 삼각형을 탐구한 결과 문제 해결의 과정으로서 측정, 작도, 각 등의 기하적 활동이 이루어졌으며, 학생들이 적극적이고 자율적으로 활동에 참여하고, 정확하게 측정하려는 태도가 자연스럽게 길러졌다. 각, 삼각형 등 평면도형에 대한 이해 뿐 아니라 입체도형에 대한 이해도 높아졌다. 프로젝트 학습은 주어진 문제나 내용만의 학습이 아닌 다른 영역으로 확장된다는 사실을 보여 주었다.

정의하기와 이름짓기를 통한 도형의 이해 고찰 -초등학교 4학년 도형 영역을 중심으로- (A Study on Defining and Naming of the Figures in the Elementary Mathematics - focusing to 4th grade Geometric Domains-)

  • 초등학교 4학년 수학은 도형 영역에서 다양한 개념들이 동시에 등장하는 시기로, 특히 삼각형이나 사각형 등과 같은 평면도형의 경우 그 개념이 총체적으로 학습되는 시기이다. 본 연구는 초등학교 4학년 학생들을 대상으로 그들이 학습한 도형 개념들에 대한 이해 정도를 파악하기 위해 '정의하기' 서술형 평가를 실시하고, 또한 그들이 갖고 있는 비형식적인 지식을 살펴보기 위한 '이름짓기'(naming) 서술형 평가를 실시하였다. 이를 통해 학생들이 이해하고 있는 도형의 개념정의와 개념이미지를 분석하고, 각각의 특징 및 반복해서 등장하는 오 개념과 그 원인을 분석하여 도형을 학습하고 지도하는 과정에서 생각해볼 유의점을 제안하고 있다. 더불어 학생들의 이름짓기 활동을 통해 도형의 어떤 요소에 가장 먼저 주목하는가를 분석함으로써 이 과정에서 그들이 인식하지 못하거나 빈도가 낮게 나타난 수학적 성질과 개념을 살펴보고 동시에 학교수학에서 도형 학습을 통해 갖게 되는 비형식적 지식을 고찰함으로써 도형 영역의 학습 지도를 위한 개선 방안을 제시하고 있다.

초등학교 6학년 학생들의 공간감각과 공간추론능력 실태조사 (An Investigation on $6^{th}$ Grade Students' Spatial Sense and Spatial Reasoning)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 공간감각과 공간추론능력의 실태를 조사하였다. 공간감각 측면에서는 전반적으로 학생들의 공간 시각화 능력이 공간 방향화 능력보다 우수하였는데, 각각의 하위 요소를 분석한 결과 변환능력이 회전능력보다, 방향감각과 물체의 구조인식능력이 위치감각보다 상대적으로 우수하였다. 공간추론능력 측면에서는 학생들이 문제를 해결할 때 다양한 공간추론능력을 사용하는 것으로 드러났는데, 특히 변환의 인식과 사용, 분석과 종합, 시각화 방법의 개발과 적용을 많이 사용하였다. 본 논문은 학생들의 공간감각 및 공간추론능력 사용형태를 상세히 분석함으로써 이와 관련한 교수 학습 과정에 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다.

아프리카 직물 문양을 응용한 니트디자인 -컬러 니트 자카드를 응용하여- (Knit Design by Applying African Textile Pattern -Focused on Color Knit Jacquard-)

  • This study aims to develop knitted ware design to meet desire to express diversity in the modern fashion design so that we designed knitted ware by applying african geometric pattern and color to suggest new knitted ware design. We collect data about african texture pattern through technical books, publications, internet, and preceding research and visit and investigate the African museum. We investigate knitted Jacquard texture through preceding research and collect sample and data which is insufficient in the data source. The conclusions in this study are summarized as follows: First, African textile pattern is formulated with animism based on their religious view of art for a basis and African regards nature like animal and plant as a motive and interprets nature in the so that they can create symbolized geometric features that constitute African texture pattern. Those patterns is composed of extremely geometric figures so that they we fit to apply for color jacquad knit design. Second, color knitted jacquad can be distinguished by knitting method and status of knitting as 7 kinds of techniques such as Nomal, Bird'eye, Floating, Tubular, Ladder's back, Blister, Transfer Jacquard, and as a result of preceding research and knitting texture directly, jacquard technique makes different texture under same condition like consistent spinning rate and same crochet hook. Third, Bird'eye Jacquard used generally to make knitted ware and Ladder's back Jacquard, Tubular Jacquard used to make knitted ware light are fit to apply them to 7GG and 12GG machines. We design a cloak as a outer garment, a coat shaped like one-piece dress and a coat with hood by using Tubular Jacquard which can make thick texture and design a jacket, a skirt and a one-piece dress by using Bird'eye Jacquard. we make a light and flimsy one-piece dress by using Ladder's back Jacquard. Fourth, we apply the contrast of $4{\sim}6$ color and line and the contrast of texture and raw material to jacquard in order to emphasize texture property and visual property.

  • 본 연구는 삼각형과 사각형 등 도형에 관한 정의와 성질 파악이 시작되는 4학년 단계에서 학생들이 범하는 오류를 연구해 봄으로써 적절한 처방과 교육 방법을 찾는데 목적이 있다. 4학년 단계에서 가장 많이 보이는 오류 유형으로는 정리나 정의를 부적절하게 사용하는 오류였으며 잘못되거나 제한된 개념 이미지가 크게 작용하였다. 이런 측면에서 본 연구는 용어에 대한 정의를 명확하게 하며 학생들의 기하수준을 높이는 지도가 필요하며 수학책과 수학 익힘책에서 제시된 도형 이미지는 제한적이므로 보다 다양한 위치와 길이의 도형이 제시되어야 하고 정확하게 서술되어야 하며 다양하고 실제적인 활동을 위한 방향으로 검토가 이루어져함을 시사한다.

현대 패션에 표현된 오르피즘 특성 (A Study on the Orphism Expression Effect in Contemporary Fashion)

  • Dynamic orphism images expressed with abstraction and construction in color are often found in modern fashion. Orphism stressing color is one of the many art trends that influence fashion. This work aims to examin its expressive effects and characteristics that appear in fashion and provide basic materials for fashion design study. This study proceeds with the following steps. First, the study takes on a theoretical examination of the orphism trend using a literature review. Second, based on its results, modern fashion's expressive features influenced by orphism are analyzed. Third, the study draws expression effects in modern fashion from these characteristics. The study coverage is confined to domestic and foreign collections released in the 21st century. The study contents come from an Internet-base domestic and international database and published material, including dissertations and books. Orphism expression effects are found in the following ways in modern fashion. First, it lies in the abstraction effect of color. This feature arrays flat geometric figure on the clothing surface and applies a strong sense of color inside it, as if color has an abstractive structured design. Second, it gives a dynamic sense visually to the clothes all at once by stressing the relation among and between the colors with powerful contrast. Third, it has a collage effect of color. This effect develops into an organic combination composed of geometric plane figures with intense complementary colors in a single piece of clothing. Expression types that presents the orphism effect in fashion are divided into clothing showing traditional orphism characteristics faithfully and clothing expressing conventional orphism characteristics mixed with modern trends. Further developed orphism fashion can be classified by the playful type, with graffiti added onto an orphism color structure, and the destructive type, where traditional orphism color orders are taken apart and reformed into a new color order.

유클리드 분할론에 기반한 작도교육의 방향 분석 (Analytic study on construction education based on Euclid's 'On divisions')

  • Ancient Greek mathematician Euclid left three books about mathematics. It's 'The elements', 'The data', 'On divisions of figure'. This study is based on the analysis of Euclid's 'On divisions of figure'. 'On divisions of figure' is a book about the construction of the shape. Because, there are thirty six proposition in 'On divisions of figure', among them 30 proposition are for the construction. In this study, based on the 'On divisions of figure' we explore the direction for construction education. The results were as follows. First, the proposition of 'On divisions of figure' shall include the following information. It is a 'proposition presented', 'heuristic approach to the construction process', 'specifically drawn presenting', 'proof process'. Therefore, the content of textbooks needs a qualitative improvement in this way. Second, a conceptual basis of 'On divisions of figure' is 'The elements'. 'The elements' includes the construction propositions 25%. However, the geometric constructions contents in middle school area is only 3%. Therefore, it is necessary to expand the learning of construction in the our country mathematics curriculum.

인도네시아 이캇 직물 디자인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Indonesian Ikat Textile Design)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the pattern and the meaning of textiles, and decorative techniques of ikat weaving and dyeing in Indonesia. The textile design also analyzes by examining the method of ikat techniques such as warp ikat, weft ikat and double ikat, and by classifying the style of regions. The most common motifs are geometric designs of spirals, meanders, straight lines, triangles, and circles which are influenced by outside world. Although these motifs or symbols have been evident since prehistoric times, their design and meaning have been continually reinterpreted as changes in the ceremonies and rituals. While motifs such as reptiles, birds, and human figures, depicted in spiral, hooked and rhomb configurations, have been identified among the most resilient features of Indonesian textile design, new meanings have been added to these ancient forms, and designs have been transformed and reinterpreted to suit local conceptions. Since textiles are a visual expression of Indcufsian life, textiles place the individual symbolically within social milieu, identifying rank, family, locality and religious affiliations. Textiles represent a link between the human and the spiritual realm, and a vehicle for the display of sacred and secular potency Ikat textiles play to embody special transforming powers and sacred mediating qualities, providing protection and evoking life-enriching forces for individuals or social group.

A Proposal for Generating Good Assembly Sequences by Tournament Tree

  • In seeking further efficiency in production preparation, it is common to examine assembly sequences using digital manufacturing. The assembly sequences affect the product evaluation, so it is necessary to test several assembly sequences before actual production. However, because selection and testing of assembly sequences depends on the operator's personal experience and intuition, only a small number of assembly sequences are actually tested. Nevertheless, there is a systematic method for generating assembly sequences using a contact-related figure. However, the larger the number of parts, the larger the number of assembly sequences geometric becomes. The purpose of this study is to establish a systematic method of generating efficient assembly sequences regardless of the number of parts. To generate such assembly sequences selectively, a "Tournament Tree," which shows the structure of an assembly sequence, is formulated. Applying the method to assembly sequences of a water valve, good assembly sequences with the same structure as the Tournament Tree are identified. The structure of such a Tournament Tree tends to have fewer steps than the others. As a test, the structure is then applied for a drum cartridge with 38 parts. In all the assembly sequences generated from the contact-related figures, the best assembly sequence is generated by using the Tournament Tree.

현대 패션디자인에 나타난 모듈러 시스템의 표현특성 (The Expressive Characteristics of Modular System in Contemporary Fashion Design)

  • This study attempted to comprehend the usage of the modular system in fields through literature review and objective research, as well as analysis of its expression characteristics in fashion. It tried to provide inspiring visual data for the fashion design of the modular system. After analyzing architecture and product-related books, Internet data and advanced research, the four expression characteristics of the modular system were obtained. Firstly, the formative expression characteristics of the modular system in fashion were simplicity, extensibility, variability and diversity. Secondly, of the formative expression characteristics expressed in modern fashion, simplicity (30%) was the highest, followed by extensibility (27%), diversity (22%) and variability (21%). Thirdly, simple silhouette and structure were used to express simplicity, usually simple geometric figures. In contrast, extensibility was expressed through the expansion and exaggeration of the area, length and volume of the clothes. In terms of variability, the typical characteristics of modules were reflected. For diversity, heterogeneous materials were used, and informality was expressed.
