Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology is a key component of modern construction engineering and project management workflows. As-is BIM models that represent the spatial reality of a project site can offer crucial information to stakeholders for construction progress monitoring, error checking, and building maintenance purposes. Geometric methods for automatically converting raw scan data into BIM models (Scan-to-BIM) often fail to make use of higher-level semantic information in the data. Whereas, semantic segmentation methods only output labels at the point level without creating object level models that is necessary for BIM. To address these issues, this research proposes a hybrid semantic-geometric approach for clutter-resistant floorplan generation from laser-scanned building point clouds. The input point clouds are first pre-processed by normalizing the coordinate system and removing outliers. Then, a semantic segmentation network based on PointNet++ is used to label each point as ceiling, floor, wall, door, stair, and clutter. The clutter points are removed whereas the wall, door, and stair points are used for 2D floorplan generation. A region-growing segmentation algorithm paired with geometric reasoning rules is applied to group the points together into individual building elements. Finally, a 2-fold Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC) algorithm is applied to parameterize the building elements into 2D lines which are used to create the output floorplan. The proposed method is evaluated using the metrics of precision, recall, Intersection-over-Union (IOU), Betti error, and warping error.
This study performs a simulation for an accumulation mechanism of contaminants, which were produced in an industrial belt of inland, on the surface of insulators. From the simulation, silicon insulators presented higher accumulation than that of EPDM(Ethylene Propylene Diene Terpolymer : EPDM) insulators on the same distance in the case of the Virgin polymer insulator, and this result presented the same result in the insulator applied in actual fields. In the case of the accumulation test for the Virgin insulator and insulators used in actual fields, it is evident that the Virgin insulator presented more accumulation than that of the insulator used in actual fields. The results can be caused by the generation of LMW (Low Molecular Weight) on the external material of polymer insulators, and the level of the accumulation can be changed according to the degree of the continuous generation of LMW. In order to simulate a certain pollution of an industrial belt, which is located along the coastline, leakage currents were measured by applying the contaminant compulsively that was produced with salts and Kaolin according to the ratio of its weight on the surface of insulators. The more increase in the content of Kaolin pollution, the level of leakage currents on the surface of polymer insulator more increased. In addition, the approaching time to the maximum value of leakage currents presented a nearly constant level regardless of the content of Kaolin. The level of leakage currents significantly decreased according to the passage of time, and the level of leakage currents on the surface maintained a constant level at a specific time regardless of the content of Kaolin.
In this paper a new analytic method for Ladder networks by weighted tree is proposed. In contrast to conventional tree concept that represents only information structure, in this paper, a tree with hierarchical structure is established by giving wei체t of impedance Z and admittance Y to branch and representing each node of its branch as a pair of voltage and current. Then, by defining generation level from tree structure and by parsing between standand level and arbitrary level, driving point impedance, transfer function and transfer impedance are simultaneously obtained instead of complex calculation method by inspection. The validity of this method is proved by the reciprocal theorem and this method is applied to four-terminal constants and the feedback network.
Team decision making is a collective behavior that needs to be understood by considering properties belonging to team and individual member domains together. This paper introduces a conceptual model called "Dual-Level(DL)" model that describes a team decision-making process in terms of team level, member level, and the relationship between them. The team-level view explains the decision-making process by considering the team as a wholeand divides the process into three stages: Problem Conceptualization, Alternative Generation, and Selection. The member-level view describes what happens to individual members when they go through the group process and splits it into the five phases: Individual Cognitive Mapping, Problem Decomposition, Subproblem Session, Subproblem Integration, and Team Decision. The DL model works as a theoretical framework to explore team decision making by using a set of computational models of team design and team members. In practice, the conceptual framework is used to build a computational model of decision making team, called "Team-Soar."
In swine house, dust generation comes from various sources and is known to be harmful both for the animals and the farmers because the dust contains biological and gaseous matters. When farmers are constantly exposed to the dusts, they can suffer chronic or acute respiratory symptoms and have high probability of manifesting various diseases. To address this problem, understanding of the mechanism of dust generation is very important. In this paper, the dust concentration of inhalable, respirable, TSP and $PM_{10}$ were monitored and analyzed according to the pig-activity level, ventilation quantity and feeding method in fattening pig house. From the measured results, in case of the concentration of TSP, an inverse-linear relation with ventilation rate ($R^2=0.88$) and linear relation with the installation height of feed supply pipe ($R^2=0.73$) were determined. However in case of the concentration of $PM_{10}$, no particular relationship with the variables was observed. Using the concentration of inhalable and respirable dust based on the pig-activity level, multi-variate regression analysis was conducted and results have shown that the movement of pigs can contribute to the dust generation (p<0.05, $R^2=0.71$, 0.61). The relationship determined between dust generation and environmental variables investigated in this study is very significant and useful in conducting dust-reduction researches.

Silica nanoparticles, which are applicable in many industrial fields, have been reported to induce cellular changes such as cytotoxicity in various cells and fibrosis in lungs. Because the immune system is the primary targeting organ reacting to internalized exogenous nanoparticles, we tried to figure out the immunostimulatory effect of silica nanoparticles in macrophages using differently sized silica nanoparticles. Using U937 cells we assessed cytotoxicity by CCK-8 assay, ROS generation by CM-$H_2DCFDA$, intracellular $Ca^{{+}{+}}$ levels by staining with Fluo4-AM and IL-8 production by ELISA. At non-toxic concentration, the intracellular $Ca^{{+}{+}}$ level has increased immediately after exposure to 15 nm particles, not to larger particles. ROS generation was detected significantly in response to 15 nm particles. However, all three different sizes of silica nanoparticles induced IL-8 production. 15 nm silica nanoparticles are more stimulatory than larger particles in cytotoxicity, intracellular $Ca^{{+}{+}}$ increase and ROS generation. But IL-8 production was induced to same levels with 50 or 100 nm particles. Therefore, IL-8 production induced by silica nanoparticles may be dependent on other mechanisms rather than intracellular $Ca^{{+}{+}}$ increase and ROS generation.
The purpose of this study was to target digital generation consumers and determine potential effects of their demographic characteristics and variables concerning digital consumer information upon their characteristics in purchasing clothing. This study has its implications in the sense that it determines digital generation's awareness and reception of digital consumer information and their utilization of digital consumer information source, so that it can help understand digital generation consumers' behaviors of information search and the phenomena of digital market in this age of knowledge and information, and can ultimately provide reference data useful for guidance in favorable consumer life as well as consumer education based on digital devices. The results of this study can be summed up as follows: It is found that digital generation consumers reached higher level in the awareness of digital consumer information. The reception of digital consumer information and the utilization of digital consumer information source are found as middle level. Based on these results, this study can give the following suggestions for consumer education: Lately, digital devices have been widely popularized into larger number of users, so that we have more chances to buy desired products on the web or mobile device. In particular, the rate of clothing purchase on the web tends to increase year by year. However, our digital consumers still lack in their ability to utilize digital consumer information in terms of quantitatively increasing purchase of products on the basis of digital consumer information. Thus, it is necessary to provide consumers with a formulated education in their information search and shopping using digital devices, so that they will have better ability to use digital consumer information in the future.
