Estimating Optimal Potential Surface for Spatial Expansion of Built-up Area by Formulating WSM-AHP Method (WSM-AHP법의 정식화를 통한 주거지 확산 지역의 최적 잠재력 표면의 추정)

  • This study developed the WSM (weighted scenario method)-AHP method that can optimize the weighting value for multi-criteria to make GIS grid-based potential surface. The potential surface has been used to simulate urban expansion using distributed cellular automata model and to generate land-use planning as basic data. This study formulated the WSM-AHP method in mathematically and applied to test region, Suwon city, which located on south area from Seoul. WSM-AHP method generates potential map for each pair of weighting value for all criteria, which one criterion is weighted with high weighting value and the others use low weighting value, considering that the summation for all criteria weighting values should be "1". The potential change rate to the step of weighted scenario for weighting value of criteria is standardized like AHP intensity matrix in this study. From the standard potential change rate, WSM-AHP intensity matrix is completed, and then the optimal weighting value is calculated from the maximum eigenvector of the WSM-AHP matrix, according to the new WSM-AHP method developed in this study. The applied results of new method showed that the optimal weighting value from WSM-AHP is more resonable than the general AHP specialists' evaluation for weighting value. The another new finding of this study is to suggest the deterministic approach to optimize the weighting value for the distributed CA model, which is used to find new city area and to generate rational land-use planning.

  • This paper describes an efficient algorithm to generate compact and complete prompts lists for connected spoken words speech corpus. In building a connected spoken digit recognizer, we have to acquire speech data in various contexts. However, in many speech databases the lists are made by using random generators. We provide an efficient algorithm that can generate compact and complete lists of digits in various contexts. This paper includes the proof of optimality and completeness of the algorithm.

  • This paper is to propose for the production of a digital-based new interface for the percussion of samulnori which are drum, janggu, jing and kkwaenggwari. Newly designed interface is similar to a jing-shaped percussion, and it was designed to playall of four instruments from a single interface. Two batting sufaces, which are located both in front and at trunk of the interface, generate a hitting date creating when interface to be hit and a pressure data when to grip the handle by control unit located at the handle. The information generated is transmitted to a computer via a wireless communication, and then, the computer generate a synthesized sound based on the characteristic of each instrument.

Vision-based full-field panorama generation by UAV using GPS data and feature points filtering

  • To meet the urgent requirements of safety surveillance from civil engineering management authorities, this study proposes a refined and efficient approach to generate full-field high-resolution panorama of construction sites using camera-amounted UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). GPS (Global Position System) information extraction for pre-registration, feature points filtering for efficient registration and optimal seaming line seeking for fusion are performed in sequence to form the full-field panorama generation framework. Advantages of the proposed method are as follows. First, GPS information can sort images for pre-registration, avoiding inefficient repeated pairwise calculations and matching. Second, the feature points are filtered according to the characteristics of the construction site images to reduce the amount of calculation. The proposed framework is validated on a road construction site and results demonstrate that it can generate an accurate and high-quality full-site panorama for the safety supervision in a much efficient manner.

Generation and Application of Atmospheric Pressure Glow Plasma in Micro Channel Reactor (마이크로 채널 반응기 내 상압 글로우 플라즈마 생성 및 응용)

  • In this work, to make it possible to generate glow discharge in atmospheric pressure condition with relatively high and wide electric field, micro channel reactor is proposed. Si DRIE and Cr deposition by Ebeam evaporation is used to make channel and bottom electrode layer. Upper electrode is made from ITO glass to visualize discharge within micro channel. Fabricated reactor is verified by generating uniform glow plasma with N2 / He gases each as working fluid. The range of gas electric field to generate glow plasma is from about 200 V/cm and upper limit is not observed in tested condition of up to 150 kV/cm. This data shows that micro channel plasma reactor is more versatile. Indirect estimation of electron temperature in this reactor can be inferred that the electron temperature within glow discharge in micro reactor lies $0{\sim}2eV$. This research demonstrates that the reactor is appropriate in application that needs to maintain low temperature condition during chemical process.

  • This study aims to develope the production method of digital image map of high capable utiliy and terrain interpretability using aerial photo and Geospatial Information System. Theory and efficient practical method was studied to generate tile digital image map with low-cost personal computer system using the merging procedure of raster scanned aerial photo and vector topographic map. Determination theory of ground coordinates, digital image processing, production of digital elevation model was reviewed. And some chariteristics of digital image map, image collection method and significant concepts of digital image processing was studied. Also input and output way of image data to generate the digital image nap, production method of orthophoto map using aerial photo through digital differential rectification was studied. As the result, digital image map was produced and analyzed through the above mentioned procedures.

  • Ontology specifies the knowledge in a specific domain and defines the concepts of knowledge and the relationships between concepts. It is possible to provide the service based on the semantic web through the ontology. Therefore, to specify and define the knowledge in a specific domain, it is required to generate the ontology which conceptualizes the knowledge. Accordingly, to search the information of potential customers for home-delivery marketing of post office, we design the specific domain to generate the ontology based on the semantic web in this paper. And we propose how to retrieve the information, using the generated ontology. We implement the data search robot which collects the information based on the generated ontology. Also, we confirm that the ontology and the search robot perform the information retrieval exactly.

Key VOP by Shape in MPEG-4 Compressed Domain (MPEG-4 압축 영역에서 형상을 이용한 키 VOP 선정)

  • We propose a novel method of selecting key VOPs from MPEG-4 compressed domain without fully decoding the compressed data. Approximated shapes of VOPs are obtained from the shape coding mode and then VOPs are clustered by shape similarity to generate key VOPs. The proposed method reduces the computation time of shape approximation, compared with Erol's method. Nevertheless, the resulting VOPs have a good summarizing capability of a video sequence. NMHD (normalized mean Hausdorff distance) values are 2-means clustered to generate key VOPs. In the video search, the MHD of a query VOP from key VOPs are computed and the VOP with the lowest distance is returned. Tests on standard MPEG-4 test sequences show that the computational complexity is very low. Recursive clustering proved to be very effective for generating suitable key VOPs.

Relationship between Airline's Distribution Services SNS Content and Customer Satisfaction

  • This study aims to examine the impact of characteristics of SNS content provided by airlines on customer satisfaction and to explore the effect of the personal characteristics of the customers which have a modulating effect on the relationship between content characteristics of SNS and customer satisfaction. The data were collected over a period of April 21. 2019. to July 21. 2019. for three months from the people who have experience using SNS provided by airlines. 225 samples were selected and used as final samples from a collection rate of 93.4 percent. Findings suggest that the characteristics of airline's SNS content which include a promotion, information, and communication showed a positive impact on customer satisfaction. The analysis of a modulating effect of individual characteristics on the relationship between the airline's SNS content characteristics showed that diversity pursuit propensity, innovation propensity, and information-seeking propensity control the relationship between characteristics of airline's SNS content which are publicity, information and customer satisfaction. And it was found that all three personal characteristics do not control the relationship between communication and customer satisfaction. Thus, airlines should use SNS more effectively to generate customer satisfaction and present marketing measures to help generate profits through consumer purchasing behavior. It is expected that the findings of this study will help airlines to utilize marketing implications for effective and practical marketing methods.

Ambidextrous Innovation in Mediating Entrepreneurial Creativity on Firm Performance and Competitive Advantage

  • A new business venture faces intense competition in a dynamic environment. To survive, new business ventures and established companies both need to generate creativity and significant new ventures to be highly competitive and have high levels of performance. In this study, we examined new business ventures that determined their competitiveness and performance generated from entrepreneurial creativity and mediated by ambidextrous innovation. This research used survey data collected from 143 Indonesian's new business shipping agencies, which was collected using an online survey and analyzed through structural equation modeling. The results showed that entrepreneurial creativity in new business ventures is positively associated with competitive advantage but not significant to create a competitive advantage. In contrast, entrepreneurial creativity is positively associated with firm performance. This result indicates that efforts to generate entrepreneurial creativity are not sufficient to create a competitive advantage despite having a significant influence on firm performance. However, entrepreneurial creativity is significantly and positively associated with firm performance and competitive advantage when mediated by ambidextrous innovation. The findings of this study suggest that the competitive advantage of a new business venture in facing intense competition in a dynamic environment condition can be overcome by generating strategic action in the form of entrepreneurial creativity and ambidextrous innovation.
