실 작업 부하를 이용한 로타베이터 기어박스의 강도 평가와 치면 접촉 패턴 해석 (Gear Rating and Contact Pattern Analysis for Rotavator Gearbox Using Actual Working Load)

  • The rotavator is attached to the three-point hitch at the rear of a tractor and uses the power take-off strength of the tractor to perform soil harrowing. During operation, the power transmitted to the gearbox of the rotavator varies with the soil characteristics and depth. These properties influence the reliability of the gearbox. In this study, actual load measurements and analyses were performed using a rotavator. In addition, the safety factor and fatigue life of the gearbox components were determined using the analysis results. Through analysis and tests, the contact pattern of the gear tooth surface was identified. The input power values of the gearbox were minimum and maximum at 54.5% and 84.5% of the tractor power, respectively. Based on the actual load analysis results, the strength and fatigue life of the gearbox components were satisfied. In addition, through the analysis and testing of the gear contact pattern, it was confirmed that a similar contact occurred. Through the analysis, the magnitude of the load acting on the tooth surface of the gear was confirmed.

  • The shock absorbing equipment for railway rolling is one of the most important components. It's effects on the safety of both passengers and vehicle itself and reduce shock, vibration and noise. The shock absorber equipment is mainly consisted of the yoke, plate and rubber draft gear. The objective of the this paper is to evaluation of structure and strength for the yoke in railway vehicles. Structure and strength analysis has been performed by use of finite element method and experimental stress analysis.

소형 선박 제어 헤드 조립체의 국산화를 위한 설계/해석, 제작에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design/Simulation and Manufacturing for Localization of Parts in Scoop Control Assembly of Small Military Boat)

  • The control head components used in small military vessels are designed to be domestically produced, prototypes, structural analysis, and casting methods are designed and cast. The control head assembly consists of a lever, an aluminum outside cover, Middle, front gear cover, back gear cover, and a zinc worm gear. In order to reverse the design of each component, 3D scanning device was used, 3D modeling was performed by CATIA, and prototype productions were carried out by 3D printer. In order to reduce the cost of components, gating system is used by gravity casting method. The SRG ratio of 1:0.9:0.6 was set by applying non-pressurized gating system to aluminum parts, 1:2.2:2.0 and pressurized gating system to zinc parts, and the shapes of sprue, runner and gate were designed. The results of porosity were also confirmed by casting analysis in order to determine whether the appropriate gating system can be designed. The results showed that all parts started solidification after filling completely. ANSYS was used for structural analysis, and the results confirmed that all five components had a safety factor of 15 more. All castings are free of defects in appearance, and CT results show only very small porosity. ZnDC1 zinc alloy worm gear has a tensile strength of 285 MPa and an elongation of 8%. The tensile strength of the four components of A356 aluminum alloy is about 137-162 MPa and the elongation is 4.8-6.5%.

궤도차량 변속기 구동용 베벨기어의 개선설계 (Design Improvement of the Driving Bevel Gear in Transmissions of a Tracked Vehicle)

  • Transmission of a tracked vehicle designed for multiple functions such as steering, gear-shifting, and braking is a core component of heavy vehicle to which the power is transferred based on combined technology of various gears, bearing, and fluid machineries. Robustness and durability of transmission, however, have been issued due to a large number of driving units and sub-components inside its body. The bevel gears are major components for the transmission of power in a transmission. Increasing the tooth surface roughness and chamfering of the bevel gears, especially, we aim to improve the quality of transmission. In this study, design structural evaluation is conducted on bevel gears of transmission for tracked vehicle using the ROMAX-DESIGNER program. By doing so, design safety of the bevel gears has been evaluated based on the gear strength theory of ANSI/AGMA 2003 B97 standard.

소형항공기용 고정식 착륙장치의 동적특성에 관한 연구

  • 현재까지의 착륙장치의 연구동향은 대부분이 공기-유압식 완충기의 충격흡수 성능해석에 집중되어 있으며 이러한 연구내용을 판스프링식 복합재료 착륙장치의 해석에 적용하기에는 많은 문제점이 있는 실정이다. 공기-유압식 완충기의 충격흡수 특성은 착륙장치 구조물의 유연성보다 내부 구조의 설계 방식에 따라 영향을 받으나, 판스프링식 복합재료 착륙장치는 재료 자체가 지니는 탄성거동과 감쇠특성으로 충격흡수 역할을 수행한다. 따라서 구조물을 구성하는 재료의 선정 및 형상이 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 실제 착륙장치의 충격 낙하 상태를 정확히 모사 할 수 있는 시험치구를 이용하여 현재 개발 중에 있는 고정식(fixed)복합재료 착륙장치가 갖고 있는 충격흡수특성, 탄성거동 및 감속특성 등을 파악하였다.

전륜구동 수동변속기에 대한 트라이볼로지적 고장사례 연구 (Tribological Failure Study of Manual Transmissions in Front Engine and Front Wheel Drive Vehicle)

  • The purpose of this paper is to present the case study of tribological failure analysis on the gear damages, oil leakage, and sealant sealing in a manual transmission of front engine and front wheel drive vehicle. The manual transmission is to change the speed range and direction of the engines depending on the driving conditions by friction driving forces with input and output gear system. The material property and surface roughness of the gears are strongly related to the gear noise and micro-vibration, oil leakage and wear, which may decrease the real contact area of the gear and the strength of the oil film thickness between the driving gear and driven one. The O-ring damage of speedometer driven gear and bad sealant sealing of oil pan may produce oil leakage through the contact surfaces, which cause the oil shortage and seizure on the sliding surfaces of the transaxle gears. In the failure case study, the proper repair working and good lubrication are very important for the long life of the transaxle without any tribological failures and oil leakage.

오토필터의 감속기 일체형 모터에 관한 유연 다물체 동역학 해석 (Flexible Multi-body Dynamic Analysis for Reducer-integrated Motor of Autofilter)

  • An autofilter is a device that removes impurities contained in heavy fuel oil used in diesel engines of ships or power plants, and also automatically removes impurities accumulated in the filter through a reverse washing function. The reducer-integrated motor serves to rotate the filter at low speed to enable reverse automatic cleaning in the autofilter device. To achieve a low speed of 0.65 to 0.75 rpm in a reducer-integrated motor, a small motor that can operate at 97rpm at a rated voltage of 110 V and 112.5 rpm at 220 V is required. Additionally, a large gear ratio of 1/150 is required. To ensure the durability and reliability of these reducers, the strength of the gear must be evaluated at the design stage. In general, there is a limit to evaluating the stress and strain state according to the vibration characteristics acting on each gear in the driving state of the reducer through quasi-static analysis. Therefore, in this study, the operation characteristics of the auto filter's reducer-integrated motor were first analyzed using the rigid body dynamics analysis method. Then, this rigid body dynamics analysis model was extended to a flexible multibody dynamics analysis model to analyze the stress and strain states acting on each gear and evaluate the design feasibility of the gear.

유한요소법에 의한 전위치차의 강도해석 (Strenth analysis gear by finite element method)

  • In the paper, it was attempted to verify how the strength around fillet area of shifted gear would be affected by variables such as number of teeth, shifted value, and diametral pitch. Thereafter, the Lewis' tooth factor of the shifted gear was computed in terms of previously mentioned variables in order to observe the characteristics of stress change related from tooth factor and tooth number with the parameter of shifted values and diametral pitches. From the results of quasi-theoretical values by Finite Element Method(F.E.M.)and experimental values through the photo-elastic tests, the followings were identified. The more the number of gear teeth increased, the more the profile of the tooth became close to that of rack, and accordingly the stresses in the fillet area decreased significantly in certain range. Furthermore, as the shifted value and pressure angle increase the stresses tend decrease. Moreover, the stresses analyzed by F.E.M. in the filled area became around 1.22 times larger than the stresses computed by Lewis' form factor, and this is supposed as on influence of the stress concentration in fillet area.

고속 선박용 변속장치 개발 (Development of A transmission for High-Speed Ship)

  • Vibration/noise analysis as well as strength of planetary gear train are considered in order to develop a transmission for a high-speed ship. The vibration model of a gear pair is developed with considering the elastic deformation of the active teeth and the body to be a rigid. Excitation forces of the transmission system are considered as the mass unbalance of the rotors. misalignment and a function of gear transmission error which comes from the modified tooth surface. A Campbell diagram, in which the excitation sources caused by the mass unbalance of the rotors. misalignment and the transmitted errors of the gearing are considered shows that, at the operating speed, there are not the critical speed.

전동차 감속기용 헬리컬 기어의 강도평가 (Stress Analysis of Helical Gear for a Railway Reducer)

  • This study performs the bending and contact stress analyses for a pair of mating gears during rotation. The interested gears are used for a railway reducer. In general, the railway reducer needs high speed rotation, which leads to a large gear ratio. Thus, it is not easy to apply finite element method to investigate the strength performance, since the size of a gear is much larger than that of a pinion. In this study, the bending and contact stresses determined from FEM are compared with the values determined from the ISO code.
