동체의 유연성을 고려한 헬기 착륙장치의 동특성 해석 연구 (Dynamic Analysis of a Helicopter Landing Gear with Considering Flexible Structural Modes)

  • In this paper, a dynamic analysis of a helicopter landing gear with considering flexible structural modes has been investigated. The main body of the helicopter has been modeled as a flexible body using FEM code, then a few selected vibration modes of the helicopter main body have been used as basis for the dynamic analysis of the helicopter landing gear. The simulation of dynamic analysis was carried out on the base of ADAMS aircraft module. It has been found by a series of simulation that the flexible structural modes has a significant effect on the dynamic characteristics of helicopter landing gear as the flexibility of the main body is increased.

타원계 엽형기어의 설계 및 동특성에 관한 연구 (Design of Elliptical Lobe Type Gear with Involute Profile)

  • Noncircular gears have been used for obtaining the modified anglualr velocity ratio between parallel axes. The elliptical gear, which is a kind of noncircular gears, makes use of ellipse as a pitch curve, and is applied for the measurement of the discharge of liquid. The applications of an elliptical gear are more advantageous than any other mechanism as like a crank-slider linkage or a cam mechanism in view of the accuracy and the reliability to transmit the prescribed motion. In this paper, acceding to the theoretical involute tooth profile, two pairs of the elliptical gears were manufactured by using CNC wire electronic discharge machine. The proper ranges of the operating pressure angle and of module not to generate under cutting are studied on the change of the eccentricity, because it is the eccentricity of the pitch curve that determines most of the characteristics of the elliptical gear and then the vibration analysis is executed for the verification of harmonious rotating.

  • The integration method of binary and real encoding in genetic algorithm is proposed to deal with design variables of various types in gear drive design. The method is applied to optimum design of multi-stage gear drive. Integer and Discrete type design variables represent the number of teeth and module, and continuous type design variables represent face width, helix angle and addendum modification factor etc. The proposed genetic algorithm is applied for the gear ratio optimization and the volume optimization(minimization) of multi-stage geared motor which is used in field. In result, the proposed design optimization method shows an effectiveness in optimum design process and the new design has a better results compared with the existing design.

  • The planetary gear reducer becomes more and more widely used in machine industries. The planetary gear reducer has a significant role to transmit power to wheel & tire module in the In-wheel system. Thus, the planetary gear reducer should have strong stiffness and durability. In this paper, the contact and bending stresses at the tooth of the planetary gear reducer are analyzed using MASTA, a commercial gear design and analysis software. Stress distribution at the tooth face of the sun, planetary and annulus gears are obtained using the finite element method. The design modification is performed using the response surface method. The usefulness of the design modification and optimization method presented in this paper is verified by comparing the maximum stresses of the original and optimized planetary gear tooth.

  • In the case of 4 wheel drive (4-WD) type car, power switching occurs to 4-WD by operating lever or switch that operates power switching device attached in transfer case which can operate motor by electric signal. So if the RPM of motor is high, power switching will not exactly occur and can cause damage to gear in transfer case according to circumstances. So in this study, we applied 2 level of planet gear type motor spindle of motor drive part of a power train. And conducted decelerating to increase torque to switch power safe and accurately. Also, we researched efficiency of gear by designing reduction gear ratio and gear type and by calculating contact stress and bending strength. Based on researched content, we made drive head of power switching device and a reduction module which uses type that uses motor spindle as sun gear and ring gear as cover.

설계인자 보정방법에 의한 사출성형기어의 캐비티 설계 (Cavity Design for Injection Molded Gears by the Compensation Method of Design Parameters)

  • As plastics shrink when changing from a molten to a solid state, mold cavities must by made larger than the product specification, In making molded gears, the teeth in the cavity must be carefully compensated for shrinkage so that the teeth of gears will have the correct profile. Two compensation methods are widely used in the cavity design. One is the compensation of a module and the other is the modification of a pressure angle and profile shifting coefficient. These methods, however, do not provide a gear cavity with all disign parameters for gears and several parameters are determined by experience. In this paper, the new design technique, namely the compensation method of design parameters, was proposed , which is based on the three kinds of shrinkage rates obtained from the measuring data of the prototype of molded gears. Using the shrinkage rates in the tip circle, tooth heigth and tooth thickness, we calculate the whole design parameters of a gear cavity. Thus, the gear cavity is considered as a complete gear with the compensated module, pressure angle, profile shifting coefficient, clearance coefficient and back lash amount so that the formula of gears can be applied to the cavity design effectively. Experimental results show that more precision molded gears can be made by using the proposed design method.

원통 치차와 호브의 3차원 형상 자동 생성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Automatic Generation for 3-Dimensional Geometry of Cylindrical Gear and Hob)

  • When designing a gear, designers determine basic dimensions of a gear with transmitted power considering strength, interference and so on. But, designers can not easily obtain the tooth profile generated by dimensions as well as the geometry of generating hob for cutting the tooth profile. In order to resolve these problems, an automatic design system creating not only the solid model of a gear but also that of the generating hob using the design parameters of dimensions is developed. Through the developed system, designers system, designers can improve the efficiency of design and satisfy the variable requirements of design as well. In this research, the three-dimensional solid models for spur and helical gears are generated considering the design parameters. Besides, those for generating hob regarding the design parameters of hob is created automatically. The system is developed by using Visual Basic and its three-dimensional geometric modeling module is constructed by using SolidWorks.

이축 방향의 복합 자기 경로를 갖는 마그네트 기어 (Magnet Gear with Two-Axial Magnetic Paths)

  • A magnet gear composed of two layers of permanent magnets repeated circumferentially can transmit the power without mechanical contact. In the topology called by the magnet shutter gear known as the most competitive concept among the existing concepts, the number of pole-pairs on the high speed rotor corresponds to that of low speed rotor through electric steel set functioning as a magnetic modulator. The methodology is classified into radial type and axial type according to its magnetic path as in the motor. However, the magnetic modulator has multiple poles located separately. So, it is very complicated to assemble each module of the magnet gear mechanically and to sustain a mechanical stiffness of the modulator. The practical trouble can be solved partially through reconfiguring the modules. This paper deals with the novel magnetic shutter gear topology varying the magnetic path and its effectiveness is verified through real hardware implementation.

  • Combining digital automation solutions throughout recent manufacturing process is essential. Advanced robot and mechanical techniques are required for design, manufacture, and distribution process. Manual design of repetitive similar mechanical components during the development phase of these advanced machines and robots can occur wasting time and money. Developed gear design module, which is the power transfer system mechanical component, was programmed in the Visual Basic language in CATIA V5 environment. Automation Process is Based on Parametric Modeling Method. and it was found to be effective in reducing design time compared to designers manual modeling.

수동 변속기용 평치차 및 헬리컬 치차 설계 (Spur and helical gear design for manual transmission)

  • 본 고에서는 자동차용 수동변속기에 사용되는 평치차 및 헬리컬 치차에 대해서 설계조건과 설계절차 및 방법에 관해서 논하고자 한다. 자동차용 변속기의 치차 설계자는 gear box내의 좁은 공간에서 가장 정숙하고 튼튼하고, 소형.경량화된 치차를 설계하기 위해서는 module, 공구압력각, 치높이, 치선원경 등이 표준에서 벗어나는 특수 cutter를 이용하여 제작되도록 치차 설계를 할 수 밖에 없으나 자동차용 치차가 대량 생산되는 점에 비추어 볼때 특수 cutter를 사용하는데 드는 비용은 문제가 되지 않는다고 본다.
