  • Recent approaches to Relation Extraction methods mostly tend to be limited to mention level relation extractions. These types of methods, while featuring high performances, can only extract relations limited to a single sentence or so. The inability to extract these kinds of data is a terrible amount of information loss. To tackle this problem this paper presents an Augmented External Memory Neural Network model to enable Global Relation Extraction. the proposed model's Global relation extraction is done by first gathering and analyzing the mention level relation extraction by the Augmented External Memory. Additionally the proposed model shows high level of performances in korean due to the fact it can take the often omitted subjects and objectives into consideration.

  • LPWA has a small amount of data that can be transmitted at one time, but it can collect a very wide range of information, so it is suitable for gathering information of apartment meter or collecting data intermittently sent from industrial site. However, most of the application studies on LPWA are limited to outdoor, especially LOS environment, so it is difficult to collect information for application to apartment and industrial sites. In this paper, we have measured the communication coverage within the building, which is a NLOS environment, so that LPWA communication can be applied to apartments and industrial sites. For the experiment, LoRa module was created using sx1276, Class A was applied, and the spread factor was changed for each layer. As a result, in case of spreading factor 7 that shows increasing error and losses from the 7 floor, but the in case of spreading factor 12, the data could be seamlessly received even on the 9th floor without error and losses.

The Manchus and ginseng in the Qing period (만주족과 인삼)

  • The Jurchens, the ancestors of the Qing Manchus, had lived scattered in Manchuria and had made their living mostly on ginseng gathering and animal hunting. Their residential areas, rich with deep forest and numerous rivers, provided great habitation for all kinds of flora and fauna, but not so proper for agriculture. Based on their activities of foraging and hunting, the Jurchens developed a unique social organization that was later transformed into the Banner System, the most distinctive Qing military institution. By the sixteenth century, that the external trade brought considerable changes to Jurchen society. A huge amount of foreign silver, imported from Japan and South America to China, first invigorated commercial economy in China proper, and later caused a huge influence on Ming frontier regions, including Manchuria. In the late sixteenth century when the tradition of foraging and hunting encountered with silver economy, the Jurchen tribes became unified after years of competition and transformed themselves into the Manchus to build the Qing empire in 1636. In 1644 the Manchus succeeded in conquering the China Proper and moved into Beijing. Even after that, the Manchu imperial court never forgot the value of Manchurii ginseng; instead, they paid great efforts to monopolize this profitable root. Until the late seventeenth century, the Qing court used the Banner System to manage Manchurian ginseng. The banner soldiers stationed in Manchuria checked unauthorized civilian entrances in this frontier and protected its ginseng producing mountains from the Han Chinese people. All the process of ginseng gathering was managed by the institutions under the direct control of the imperial court, such as the Imperial Household Department, the Butha Ula Office, and the Three Upper Banner in Shengjing. Banner soldiers were dispatched to the given mountains, collect the given amount of ginseng, and send them to the imperial court in Beijing. The state monopoly of ginseng was maintained throughout the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries under the principle that Manchuria and its natural resources should be guarded from civilian encroachment. At the same time, Manchurian ginseng was considered as an important source of state revenue. The imperial court and financial bureau wanted to collect ginseng as much as they needed. By the late seventeenth century as the ginseng management by the banner soldiers failed in securing the ginseng tax, the Qing court began to invite civil merchants to ginseng business. During the eighteenth century the Qing ginseng policy became more dependent on civil merchants, both their money and management. In 1853 the Qing finally ended the ginseng monopoly, but it was before the early eighteenth century that wealthy merchants hired ginseng gatherers and paid ginseng tax to the state. The Qing monopoly of ginseng was in fact maintained by the active participation of civil merchants in the ginseng business.

Effects of Self-disclosing Agents (자기노출 에이전트의 효과)

  • The importance of interface agent as user interface increases in the ubiquitous computing environment. It is essential that an interface agent can develop social relationship with users. We propose that self-disclosure, a major factor to form and maintain human relationship, can be useful to achieve this goal. This study examined the effects of the degree of a computer agent's self-disclosure on the users' social responses. The experiment was conducted in a 2(intimacy of agent's disclosure: high vs. low) by 2(amount of agent's disclosure: high vs. low) between-group design. The results show that: 1) reciprocity of self-disclosure was found in both sub-dimensions (intimacy and amount) of self-disclosure; 2) in case that participants received highly intimate self-disclosure from the agent, social attraction, trustworthiness and expectation of mutual influence toward agent were lower than when the agent's disclosure was less intimate. These findings suggest that the intimacy of agent's self-disclosure can affect on gathering user information and human-agent relationship formation separately. While agent's highly intimate disclosure can be useful to gather user information, agent's appropriate disclosure can be useful to form positive user-agent relationship.

A Study on the Economic Estimation of the Recycling of Construction Waste (건설폐기물(建設廢棄物) 재활용(再活用) 과정에 대한 경제성(經濟性) 평가(評價) 연구(硏究))

  • Amount of waste is always generated in industrialization process and it is gradually increasing. Domestic and industrial waste in 2003 increased by 9.5 percent than that of the last year(2002), whereas the amount of construction waste increased largely by 21 percent. Recently construction waste of total waste accounts for nearly 50 percent, waste concrete and Ascon from the construction waste takes up to 73 percent. Furthermore, amount of natural materials are gradually decreasing, that is, they are not sufficient any more. Owing to these reasons, the importance of recycling construction waste has been emphasized. The use of recycling aggregate makes the disposal of construction waste easier as well as protects environment from gathering raw aggregate. Also, it has the alternative effect economizing the insufficient new natural aggregate. This study employs the cost-benefit model to analyze the economic effect of construction waste recycling of Ascon which takes relatively high part of the total waste. The cost-comparison between raw aggregate and recycling aggregate were analyzed. With the model, the economic effect of Ascon recycling in 2003 and 2004 in capital area of Korea were analysed. Cost comparison between raw aggregate and recycling aggregate were also carried out. The result showed that the economic effect of Ascon recycling increased to 0.0808 for 2004 as compared 0.0694 for 2003. We could not conclude using above data, but this result shows that the economic benefit of Ascon recycling of construction waste has increased.

A Study of School Waste Disposal Status and Its Reforms (Public Primary and Secondary Schools in Seoul) (학교 쓰레기 처리현황과 개선에 관한 연구 - 서울시 공립 초.중등학교를 대상으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the trends of waste products in schools, its gathering and disposal, identification of problems and to analyze its disposal. Moreover, this study was aimed at basic suggestions about the establishment and plans of waste environmental education. 98 public primary and secondary schools were surveyed in Seoul during the month of March and April, 1991. Information was collected from each educational association by random sampling. Questionaries were used for this survey. To understand the disposal status of school waste and its reforms, this study surveyed the amount of waste by products, their origin and analyzed the disposal by type, one number of schools and teachers involved. The dump sited and disposal methods of school waste, its problems, and the status of school waste educations were researched, and ideal disposal methods and plans for waste education were suggested. The results were as follows. 1. The School's trash was produced by followings: paper, vinyle plastics, food, woods, metals, ceramics, glass, bottles, and ash from the heating system. The biggest cause of the school's waste as shown by the survey was a lack of environmental awareness(39.8%). The second biggest was the use of a one time use of disposable paper products(27.6%). 2. Waste collection by different grade levels were proven to be important but as you move from elementary to high school, the waste collecting operation decreased, in this connection between the students and waste collection itself it was significant on the other hand the teachers were not working as significant variables. 3. Of the school that collected waste 69.5 percent of the schools separately grouped common waste and recyclable waste. 25 schools(42.4%) received improvement on their environmental awareness of trash collection through this method. 4. From the number of disposal sites in surveyed schools, it was determined that the education of the necessity for separation of waste was performed in vain and accordingly the should require a real education in the future. 5. Regarding the method of disposal of waste the survey indicated that the #1 method of disposal was partial burning and the remains carried to a dump site by others(35,7%). In elementary schools the entire waste was taken by individuals to a dump site (33.3%). In high schools partial burning and then transported by individuals #1 in our survey(50%). 6. Relative to the problem of the treatment to waste, the emission of smoke from the burning was considered to be the #1 priority in our survey (62.3%) the problem of trash collection being delayed was 52.1%(1in our survey). 7. The present situation of environmental education of waste us lacking. Under present circumstances, the practice of public announcements for improvement and waste-paper collection has been going on vigorously but lacking in education as to the preparation of compositions for students the themes of public exhibitions, the organizing of voluntary associations should be part of the education system to reinforce student's awareness of proper waste disposal. 8. The most economical alternative for disposal was recycling usable waste or combustible material through a variety of education we can therefore educate students bring this education to their homes public servants will also be able to benefit in the waste disposal process with proper education. In conclusion we should intensify the systemical organization and the education of our waste disposal for a better environment.

Institutional and Individual Investors' Trading Patterns and Price Changes (기관 및 개인투자자의 거래행태와 가격변화)

  • This paper studies the stock market in which there are two types of investor, institutional and individual, whose information gathering and processing abilities are different. The institutional investor manages large funds and has powerful information sources. Whereas, the individual investor trades with a small amount of money and an information disadvantage. The model assumes that the institutional investor is more experienced and able to acquire relevant information earlier than the individual investor. On these assumptions, this paper shows a price continuation in the short run and a price reversal in the long run. The price continuation, or momentum, in the short run can be explained as follows. The early-informed institutional investor trades a stock, and as a result the stock price changes. Then the late-informed individual investor trades the same stock, and the stock price continues to move in the same direction in the short run. The reason for the price reversal in the long run is that since the individual investor has inferior information on the fundamental value of the stock, he tends to overreact to new information. So the stock price changes over its fundamental value initially and then regresses toward its fundamental value. In sum, both the price continuation and the price reversal are caused by the overreaction of the individual investor. The essay illustrates how these phenomena are stronger in the case where the proportion of the individual investor is higher. It also shows how the stock price goes up when the institutional investor buys a stock, while it goes down when the individual investor buys one.

Properties of the Flowability and Strength of Cementless Alkali-Activated Mortar Using the Mixed Fly Ash and Ground Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag (플라이애쉬와 고로슬래그 미분말의 혼합 사용한 무시멘트 알칼리 활성 모르터의 유동성 및 강도 특성)

  • Portland cement production is under critical review due to high amount of CO2 gas released to the atmosphere. Attempts to increase the utilization of a by-products such as fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag to partially replace the cement in concrete are gathering momentum. But most of by-products is currently dumped in landfills, thus creating a threat to the environment. Many researches on alkali-activated concrete that does not need the presence of cement as a binder have been carried out recently. However, most study deal only with alkali-activated ground granulated blast furnace slag or fly ash, as for the combined use of the both, little information is reported. In this study, we investigated the influence of mixture ratio of fly ash/ blast furnace slag tand curing condition on the flowability and compressive strength of mortar in oder to develop cementless alkali-activated concrete. In view of the results, we found out that the mixture ratio of fly ash/blast furnace slag always results to be significant factors. But the influence of curing temperature in the strength development of mortar is lower than the contribution due to other factors. At the age of 28days, the mixture 50% fly ash and 50% ground granulated blast furnace slag activated with 1:1 the mass ratio of 9M NaOH and sodium silicate, develop compressive strength of about 65 MPa under $20^{\circ}C$ curing.

Effect of the Drill Widths and Nitrogen Application Levels in Early Spring on Seed Productivity of Domestic Tall Fescue (Festuca arundinacea Schreb) (휴폭 및 이른 봄 질소시비량에 따른 국내육성 톨 페스큐의 종자생산성)

  • In this study, we sought to evaluate the growth characteristics and seed productivities of domestic tall fescue that were cultivated with differing combinations of drill widths and nitrogen-application rates in early spring; the examination was conducted at the National Institute of Animal Science, RDA, from 2013 to 2014. The main plots were three widths of 15 cm, 30 cm, and 45 cm, and the subplots were subject to nitrogen-application rates in early spring of 45 kg/ha, 90 kg/ha, 135 kg/ha, and 180 kg/ha. The growth and development characteristics did not vary by treatment in terms of drill width and early-spring nitrogen application. Tall fescue Purumi showed a stable seed productivity of two tons or greater when the drill width was set at 15 cm and 90 kg/ha of nitrogen was applied in early spring. The narrower the drill width, the greater the numbers of both the ears and seeds, while the length of the ear was longer when the drill width was wider. Regarding the influence of the drill width and early-spring nitrogen application on the productivity of seed-producing straw, the dry matter productivity was higher when the drill width was narrower; however, no particular trend was observed with respect to different amounts of fertilizer. The average production amount of the first round of straw after seed gathering was 6,920 kg/ha. The second round produced an average 8,134 kg/ha of dry matter.

Basic Properties of Alkali-activated Mortar With Additive's Ratio and Type of Superplasticizer (감수제 종류 및 첨가율 변화에 따른 알칼리 활성 모르타르의 기초적 특성)

Attempts to increase the utilization of a by-products such as fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag to partially replace the cement in concrete are gathering momentum. Many researchs on alkali-activated concrete that does not need the presence of cement as a binder have been carried out recently. Instead, the sources of material such as fly ash, that are rich in Silicon(Si) and Aluminium(Al), are activated by alkaline liquids to produce the binder. Hence concrete with no cement is effect reduction of $CO_2$ gas. In this study, we investigated the influence of the fluidity, air content and compressive strength of mortar on alkaline activator in order to develop cementless fly ash and ground granulated blast-furnace slag based alkali-activated mortar with superplasticizer. In view of the results, we found out that Pn of fluidity and compressive strength is the best in four type of superplasticizer, and PNS of powder type of fluidity is better than that of liquid type in the case of AA.
