In this paper, the notion of ${\gamma}$-operation on a supratopological space is introduced. We found that the ${\gamma}$-operation induces a supratopology (topology) containing a given supratopology. We also introduce the notions of (${\gamma}$, S)-continuous function and almost ${\Gamma}$-supracompact defined by ${\gamma}$-operation on a supratopological space and investigate some properties for such notions.

Generalized integral formulas involving the generalized modified k-Bessel function $J^{b,c,{\gamma},{\lambda}}_{k,{\upsilon}}(z)$ of first kind are expressed in terms generalized Wright functions. Some interesting special cases of the main results are also discussed.

We aim at presenting certain integral representations for the Riemann Zeta function ${\zeta}(s)$ at positive integer arguments by using some known integral representations of log ${\Gamma}(1+z)$ and ${\psi}(1+z)$.

Background: The modelling of lactation curve provides guidelines in formulating farm managerial practices in dairy cows. The aim of the present study was to determine the suitable non-linear model which most accurately fitted to lactation curves of five lactations in 134 Gir crossbred cows reared in Research-CumDevelopment Project (RCDP) on Cattle farm, MPKV (Maharashtra). Four models viz. gamma-type function, quadratic model, mixed log function and Wilmink model were fitted to each lactation separately and then compared on the basis of goodness of fit measures viz. adjusted $R^2$, root mean square error (RMSE), Akaike's Informaion Criteria (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criteria (BIC). Results: In general, highest milk yield was observed in fourth lactation whereas it was lowest in first lactation. Among the models investigated, mixed log function and gamma-type function provided best fit of the lactation curve of first and remaining lactations, respectively. Quadratic model gave least fit to lactation curve in almost all lactations. Peak yield was observed as highest and lowest in fourth and first lactation, respectively. Further, first lactation showed highest persistency but relatively higher time to achieve peak yield than other lactations. Conclusion: Lactation curve modelling using gamma-type function may be helpful to setting the management strategies at farm level, however, modelling must be optimized regularly before implementing them to enhance productivity in Gir crossbred cows.

Weibull 분포함수(分布函數)에 의하여 임분(林分)의 직경(直徑) 분포(分布)를 추정(推定)할 수 있는 방법(方法) 중(中) 직경분포(直徑分布)의 실측치(實測値)로 직접(直接) 계산(計算)하는 방법(方法)에 대하여는 제(第) I 보(報)에서 발표(發表)하였다. 본(本) 연구(硏究)에서는 임의추출(任意抽出)한 표본목(標本木)의 평균직경(平均直徑)과 단면적평균직경(斷面績平均直徑)만을 구한 다음 Gamma함수(函數)를 사용(使用)한 Weibull 분포함수(分布函數)에 의하여 임분(林分)의 직경분포(直徑分布)를 추정(推定)하였다. 그 결과(結果) 실제(實際) 임분(林分)의 직경분포(直徑分布)와 매우 적합(適合)하였다. 그러므로 이 방법(方法)을 응용(應用)하면 임분(林分)의 직경분포(直徑分布)의 추정(推定)은 물론 장래(將來)의 임분구조(林分構造)의 해석(解析)과 예측(豫測)도 쉽게할 수 있다.

A new proof of the well-known identity involved in the Beta function B(p, q) is given by using the theory of hypergeometric series and a brief history of Gamma function is also provided. The method here is shown to be able to apply to evaluate some definite integrals.

본 연구에서는, 에너지에 따른 peak의 상대효율을 구하였으며, 검출기의 응답함수를 작성하였다. 이를 위해 고효율, 고분해능을 가진 HPGe 검출기(지름 78.7 mm, 길이 86.5 mm)를 이용하였으며 콤프턴 억제용으로 NaI 검출기를 사용하였다. 감마선 스펙트럼은 $^{23}Na$(p, $\gamma$)$^{24}Mg$ 및 $^{27}Al$(p, $\gamma$)$^{28}Si$ 반응을 이용하여 얻었으며, 이 때 입사 입자의 에너지는 각각 $E_p$ = 1424 keV 및 $E_p$ = 992 keV 이었다. 한편 스펙트럼 측정은 입사 빔 방향에 대해 $55^{\circ}$에서 하였으며, 사용한 가속기는 일본 동경공업대학의 3 MeV Pelletron 가속기를 이용하였다. 검출기의 응답함수는 1.2 MeV에서 9.4 MeV까지 0.75 MeV 간격으로 작성하였다.

Motivated mainly by certain interesting recent extensions of the generalized hypergeometric function [Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 23 (2012), 659-683] and the second Appell function [Appl. Math. Comput. 219 (2013), 8332-8337] by means of the incomplete Pochhammer symbols $({\lambda};{\kappa})_{\nu}$ and $[{\lambda};{\kappa}]_{\nu}$, we introduce here the family of the incomplete generalized ${\tau}$-hypergeometric functions $2{\gamma}_1^{\tau}(z)$ and $2{\Gamma}_1^{\tau}(z)$. The main object of this paper is to study these extensions and investigate their several properties including, for example, their integral representations, derivative formulas, Euler-Beta transform and associated with certain fractional calculus operators. Further, we introduce and investigate the family of incomplete second ${\tau}$-Appell hypergeometric functions ${\Gamma}_2^{{\tau}_1,{\tau}_2}$ and ${\gamma}_2^{{\tau}_1,{\tau}_2}$ of two variables. Relevant connections of certain special cases of the main results presented here with some known identities are also pointed out.

Let k ⩾ 2 be an integer, S^k = {1^k, 2^k, 3^k, …} and B = {b₁, b₂, b₃, …} be an additive complement of S^k, which means all sufficiently large integers can be written as the sum of an element of S^k and an element of B. In this paper we prove that $${{\lim}\;{\sup}}\limits_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}\;{\frac{{\Gamma}(2-{\frac{1}{k}})^{\frac{k}{k-1}}{\Gamma}(1+{\frac{1}{k}})^{\frac{k}{k-1}}n^{\frac{k}{k-1}}-b_n}{n}}\;{\geqslant}\;{\frac{k}{2(k-1)}}\;{\frac{{\Gamma}(2-{\frac{1}{k}})^2}{{\Gamma}(2-{\frac{2}{k}})}},$$ where 𝚪(·) is Euler's Gamma function.

Distributions of diamond particles protruding on the surface of worn diamond segments in circular saw has been investigated. Scanning electron microscope was used to examine the worn ,surface and radial saw blade wear and grinding ratio was measured. The number of protruded diamond particle was approximately 50% of the total number of particles, and that was independent of diamond particle concentration and table speed. It was also noted that the inter-particle distance did not follow a symmetric function like Gaussian distribution function, instead it fitted well with a probability density function based on gamma function. The distribution of inter-particle spacing, therefore, was analyzed using a gamma function model.
