  • Last decade, IT industry in Korea has been developed greatly. The game industry as an international leader has given good value added to its country. Game industry is one of the speedy improved one and it showed over 20% of growth rate from 2002. Most distressings in Game industry, there are no established costing system in spite that there should be in emerging market. In 2004, Game Contents Costing Model using Mission and Event was developed and also the study of Game Elements weight was done in 2005. The cost of Game Contents can be calculated by GEP and its unit price. The study of Game Contents Sizing Model was done in 2005. The costing of Game Contents by single Game Element which represents software which is one of 3 Game Elements-plan, graphic and software-and it is counted by mission and event. If the software element only can not well represent Game Contents volume, we can include plan and graphic elements for Game Contents costing. And we can say above two methods as a costing model of Game Contents. In this paper, these models were tested empirically and proved as usable.

  • Currently domestic game market rapidity is developmental but the game production process does not become systematization. Also it is bringing the failure of game that problem point of conversation between game planner and game developer.. The research which to conversation between game planner and game developer it sees does extracting a game element to expressed game characteristics from the product for game planning and it change extracted element into class and In order to express the relationship of element for it presents a relationship of class. Instance research it leads. It grasps a relationship among extracted classes and it supports systematic game planning.

  • In the online game, a game character to replace game player exists within the same game and it is very difficult to migrate to another on-line games. Also, players have taken a lot of time and effort in the character's growth. In recent years, it has raised many social side effects. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, this paper was implemented web services system based on previous studies for the migration of game character between different-type on-line game severs, and the proposed system verified through the experiment focused on 4 capability numerical value (money, HP:Hit Point, MP:Mana Point, level) between migration element of game character.

  • The quality of the game can be evaluated by its fun and functional stability. Among them, the quality area for fun is the essence of the game, so it is a very important factor to be considered from the point of view of a game designer. Usually, fun games with high originality and immersion are designed in the early stages of development, such as idea generation and concept setting. At this time, making it possible to verify the fun factor of the game has an important influence on the success of the game. In this study, the case of using PIT technique when teaching fun element design to students who are starting to study game design was introduced and the effect was analyzed. It is expected that the PIT technique will be used more actively in the game design education field for high-quality and fun game design.

  • In this paper, the horror game is defined as a game that is aimed at causing fear reactions to user. And this paper analyzed narrative elements for studying what causes fear reactions beyond the existing experimental study. This analysis is significant at the point of determining narrative principles in the horror game. So this paper has extracted horror elements from gothic horror novels that established as the 'horror' genre and has considered how these horror elements would be transformed actually in the horror game. So it analyzes how the space and narrative elements as the distinctive characteristics of game are transformed centrally in the case of the 'Silent hill' series(published by Konami Corporation). Furthermore this study will be expected to be a help for clarifying not only the horror game as a peculiar genre but also the relationship between the space and narrative elements in the game.

  • The multimedia data of game affects the immersion of the game depending on its quality. It is difficult to design the evaluation criteria of artistic quality of the data. But, in a technical point of view, it is possible to evaluate its quality. Thus, the design of evaluation standard can ensure the reliability and objectivity of quality. However, multimedia data quality evaluation metrics had not yet been designed. Therefore, in this study, we extracted quality evaluation elements of Game Multimedia Data, and verified the reliability of the elements. And we defined detailed evaluation items of each element, developed Multimedia Data Quality Evaluation Metrics. We expect that the results of this study will serve as a guide in the development of high-quality games, have a positive impact on the growth of the game industry.

  • As the Medical Serious Games are recently proven effective, the quality evaluation of the game has become an important issue. In quality evaluation, objective criteria and evaluation elements are important. Quality evaluation of the serious game is divided into two areas : the technical (from the point of view of Program) and the non-technical (from the point of view of Content). In this study, we developed the quality evaluation element of the non-technical area to the psychotherapy and the health & rehab game according to developing process of quality evaluation model. We extracted five evaluation elements from the two kinds of medical games, and interviewed with medical experts in order to ensure the validity of them. The goodness of fit tests for the elements mentioned above were verified by conducting. Chi-square test results for the two groups did not differ significantly. In conclusion, we expect to take advantage of the results of this study to design and develop serious games for medical treatment.

  • Game theory is a powerful tool for analyzing the Supply chain (SC) with different conflicting elements. Among them, the Stackelberg game is the one in which a player as leader has more power than the other ones as followers. Since in many SC systems one element has, in essence, more power than the others; the Stackelberg game has found many applications in SC studies. In this paper, we apply the Stackelberg game-theoretic approach and the corresponding equilibrium point to formulate and analyze a two echelon VMI SC. Comprehensive computational results on an experimental case are conducted to numerically analyze the performance of VMI system against three groups of critical parameters. Moreover, a critical comparison demonstrates the poorer performance of decentralized VMI system than centralized one. This naturally necessitates designing proper contracts between VMI partners in order to more effectively implement the realistic decentralized system.

  • The movie and game are on the center of entertainment industry. The OSMU(One Source Multi Use) method of two media is the most conspicuous in sharing stories. Particularly, the storytelling of a game emphasizes a harmonization between the elements that can be used for a game on narrative point of view(the traditional plot like novel, film and etc.) and the elements reflecting the interactivity, the characteristic of a game. In the gaming made with a film and filming made with a game, the main element of successful storytelling is the story value. In this paper, we describe through the case analysis of the gaming made with a film and filing made with a game in three aspects based on hero's journey steps of Joseph Campbell and $Gr\acute{e}mas's$ actant model theory, which they are the story event, the type and relation of characters, and the complication type between the characters. we, consequently, believe that the compatible storytelling between two media (film and game) and the setting way of characters could be made with the successful diversification in OSMU.
