An Experimental Study for Performance of PSC-I Girders with 60MPa High-Strength Concrete (설계강도 60MPa급 고강도 PSC의 내하성능 검토)

  • PSC-I girder is widely used in designing bridge. Currently partial advanced country have constructed bridge with high strength concrete, while in-country rather less concrete strength(40MPa) has been used to build bridge girder. So, this paper presents characteristics and behavior of member casted by high strength concrete to apply practically. For this aim, 4 girders were fabricated to investigate performance and structural behavior. Prior to test, structural analysis was performed with common program. Steel gages and concrete gage were filled up to measure longitudinal and vertical strain of reinforcement and concrete. Linear Variable Differential Transducer and concrete surface gage were also set to measure deflection and strain of concrete. Load-deflection relation and crack mode were analyzed at transfer and test and compared with the structural analysis

  • Low-velocity impact damage of a thick pressure vessel by composite materials was studied using the modified Herzian contact radius theory. Impactors of various masses and various tup shapes were dropped freely in the range of 20m to 200mm height. With acceleration gage and strain gage installed on the impactor, impact force and acceleration and Contact radius were measured. After a test, the samples were radiographed to scan the state of damage. Compared with hemispherical tup of 12.7mm diameter, the contact radius of hemispherical tup of 25.4mm diameter was bigger. And the experimental data and the theoretical data was different due to the mechanical properties difference. The acceleration value was changed linearly according to the height.

Estimation of Nonpoint Source Pollutant Loads of Juam-Dam Basin Based on the Classification of Satellite Imagery (위성영상 분류 기반 주암댐 유역 비점오염부하량 평가)

  • The agricultural area was classified into dry and paddy fields in this study using the near-infrared band of Landsat TM to extract land cover classes that need to the application of Expected Mean Concentration (EMC) in nonpoint source works. The accuracy of image classification of the land cover map from Landsat TM image showed 83.61% and 78.41% respectively by comparing with the large and middle scale land cover map of Ministry of Environment. As the result of Soil Conservation Service (SCS) Curve Number (CN) using the land cover map from image classification, Dongbok dam and Dongbok stream basin were analyzed high. Also Geymbaek water-gage and Bosunggang upstream basin showed high in the analysis of EMC of BOD, TN, TP by basin. And also Geymbaek water-gage and Bosunggang upstream basin showed high in the analysis of non-point source through coupling with direct runoff. Therefore these basins were selected with the main area for the management of nonpoint source.

Estimation of Quantitative Precipitation Rate Using an Optimal Weighting Method with RADAR Estimated Rainrate and AWS Rainrate (RADAR 추정 강수량과 AWS 강수량의 최적 결합 방법을 이용한 정량적 강수량 산출)

  • This study is to combine precipitation data with different spatial-temporal characteristics using an optimal weighting method. This optimal weighting method is designed for combination of AWS rain gage data and S-band RADAR-estimated rain data with weighting function in inverse proportion to own mean square error for the previous time step. To decide the optimal weight coefficient for optimized precipitation according to different training time, the method has been performed on Changma case with a long spell of rainy hour for the training time from 1 hour to 10 hours. Horizontal field of optimized precipitation tends to be smoothed after 2 hours training time, and then optimized precipitation has a good agreement with synoptic station rainfall assumed as true value. This result suggests that this optimal weighting method can be used for production of high-resolution quantitative precipitation rate using various data sets.

  • The aerodynamic characteristics of the oscillating airfoil(NACA0012) were measured by experimental methods by using the airfoil oscillating test rig installed at KARI 1m wind tunnel. The chord of the airfoil is 0.2m and the span is 0.75m. The lift and pitching moments were calculated by integrating the surface pressure measured by strain-gage type pressure sensors. The test condition is like this : the reduced oscillating frequency(k) < 0.1, Re ~ 820,000, Mach < 0.25. The test results were compared with the reference data published by other facilities.

Prediction of Error due to Eccentricity of Hole in Hole-Drilling Method Using Neural Network

  • The measurement of residual stresses by the hole-drilling method has been used to evaluate residual stresses in structural members. In this method, eccentricity can usually occur between the hole center and rosette gage center. In this study, we obtained the magnitude of the error due to eccentricity of a hole through the finite element analysis. To predict the magnitude of the error due to eccentricity of a hole in the biaxial residual stress field, it could be learned through the back propagation neural network. The prediction results of the error using the trained neural network showed good agreement with FE analyzed results.

  • The captive model test of submerged body using CPMC(Computerized Planar Motion Carriage) was carried out at the Ocean Basin of KORDI/MOERI. The target model is a submarine with general hullform. The forces and moments acting on the submerged body were measured by 6-axis waterproof gage. The oblique motion test and turning test were carried out in horizontal and vertical planes of the model. Maneuvering coefficients and derivatives were obtained from the test results. The stability indices in horizontal and vertical planes were obtained by using maneuvering derivatives. In this paper the introduction of test equipment and test results are presented.

  • In this work, cement paste samples with 1% (by cement mass) of a conductive carbon fiber admixture have been studied under uniaxial compression. Three different arrangements were used to measure the resistivity of the samples. According to the results obtained, the resistance should be measured using the four wire method in order to obtain good sensitivity and repeatability. The effect of the load value and the load rate on the fractional change of the volume resistivity has been determined. It has been observed that the gage factor (fractional change in resistance respect to strain) increases when the maximum load is increased, and the loading rate does not affect significantly this parameter. The effect of the sample ambient humidity on the material piezoresistivity has also been studied, showing that the response of the composite is highly affected by this parameter.

  • In this paper, we proposed how to estimate the walking state in the knee disarticulation prosthesis's knee angle control. In control of the knee disarticulation prosthesis, we can estimate walking state that measurement of knee angle using absolute encoder and measurement of load on the soles using strain gage. We suggested a method of estimating the current walking states which can be divided into four cases and showed the effectiveness of the method via a series of experiments.

고농도 Out Gas 정량 분석법 개발

  • 본 연구는 MLCC 구성성분의 증발/비등에 의한 저분자물질의 제거가 bar 수축에 미치는 영향도를 평가하기 위해, 압착 bar에서 발생하는 고농도의 out gas를 정량하기 위한 최적 system을 구축하고자 하였다. gas 포집에 범용적으로 사용하는 Purge & Trap sampler 대신 Heating block를 사용하여 gas를 발생시키고 동시에 solvent에 용해시킴으로써 고농도의 시료가 희석될 수 있는 전처리 장치를 디자인하였다. 그 결과 고농도 gas 주입에 의한 장비오염과 peak saturation 문제가 해결되었고, gas phase의 시료를 liquid phase로 상전이 시켜 autosampler를 이용한 정확한 량의 시료 주입이 가능하였다. System의 Gage Linearity와 Bias는 각각 1.7%와 1.3%로 개선이 필요없는 수준의 정확도를 가졌다.
