ASYMPTOTIC NUMBER OF GENERAL CUBIC GRAPHS WITH GIVEN CONNECTIVITY

  • Let g(2n, l, d) be the number of general cubic graphs on 2n labeled vertices with l loops and d double edges. We use inclusion and exclusion with two types of properties to determine the asymptotic behavior of g(2n, l, d) and hence that of g(2n), the total number of general cubic graphs of order 2n. We show that almost all general cubic graphs are connected. Moreover, we determined the asymptotic numbers of general cubic graphs with given connectivity.

  • This paper presents a novel design of the printed hyperpolar-transformed Sierpinski Carpet (HSC) antenna. By hyperpolar transforming the Sierpinski carpet geometry, from isotropic scaling symmetry to equiangular scaling symmetry, we get improved performance rather than that of the general Sierpinski Carpet antenna. The design parameter and performance of the proposed monopole antenna are investigated by simulation. And we showed that proposed HSC geometry gives more freedom for wideband antenna design such as flare angle, (angular)scale factor.

First Total Synthesis of Highly Anti-Inflammatory Active Licochalcone D Through Water-Accelerated [3,3]-Sigmatropic Rearrangement

  • Licochalcones, derived from the dried roots of Glycyrrhiza inflata, have been reported to show various biological activities including antitumor, antiparasitic, antileishmanial, antioxidative, superoxide scavenging, antibacterial, and PTP1B activity. Licochalcone D has an allyl group on ring A instead of ring B, however, most other natural licochalcones possess the group on ring B. Total synthesis of licochalcone D has not been reported even possessing the strongest anti-inflammatory activity. Therefore, the first total synthesis of licochalcone D has been developed by using water-accelerated [3,3]-sigmatropic rearrangement method.

  • 최근 여러 기업들이 경쟁력을 확보하기 위해서 기술력 확보에 많은 신경을 쓰고 있다. 특히 몇 년간 기업 간의 특허전쟁들로 인해서 기업들은 기술력을 객관적으로 입증 받으려고 하고 있으며, 이에 대한 노력으로 R&D 투자를 하고 있다. 하지만 R&D 투자와 기업성과의 관계에 대한 실증적 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 R&D 투자비용과 기업의 영업이익, 매출액, 특허등록 수에 대한 Pearson 상관관계분석을 수행했다.

We use inclusion and exclusion with five types of properties to determine the asymptotic behavior of $g(n,\;l_1,\;l_2,\;d,\;t,\;q)$ and hence that of g(2n), the total number of general 4-regular graphs where $l_1,\;l_2,\;d,\;t\;and\;q\;=\;o(\sqrt{n})$, respectively. We show that almost all general 4-regular graphs are 2-connected. Moreover, we determine the asymptotic numbers of general 4-regular graphs with given connectivities.

  • Underwater explosion shock response analysis of a MIL-S-901D Standard Floating Shock Platform(SFSP) was performed using LS-DYNA/USA, and the accuracy of analysis results was examined through the comparison of them with the existing test results. Surrounding fluid as well as the SFSP was included In a three dimensional finite element model for the consideration of the cavitation effects of UNOEX shock wave. It was confirmed that the analysis results could predict accurately the shock behaviors of the SFSP, and the response characteristics according to heavy weight shock tests could be figured out well.
