Extraction of Geometric Information on Highway Using Terrestrial Laser Scanning Technology (지상 레이저 스캐닝 기술을 이용한 도로 기하정보 추출)

  • Laser scanning technology with high positional accuracy and high density automation will be widely applied in vast range of fields including geomatics. Especially, the development of laser scanning technology enabling long range information extraction is increasing its full use in civil engineering. The purpose of this study is to extract accurate highway geometric information taking the advantages of scanning technology. Fulfilling this goal, the information of target highway's three-dimensional data was obtained through terrestrial laser scanning technology. In accordance with the result from target highway's geometric information extraction using the information above, laser scanning technology showed faster speed and better accuracy on highway geometric information extraction with reduced cost compared to traditional methods.

  • National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency(NGA) developed VPF in mid 1980 to digitalize military geospatial information. However, because VPF is very complicated system and was severly inefficient in producing, maintaining, and managing the data, VPF was required to be replaced by more efficient data format. These requests resulted in an integrated schema, and eventually VPF. The main idea of using FDB in the production of digital map of non-accessible area is to increase the accuracy. This research focuses on the production of high accuracy digital map by utilizing the FDB. The accuracy of digital map by FDB and by DGN was individually compared with 1m CIB imagery of the Korean peninsula. By analyzing 38 check points based on CIB, DGN showed RMSE of 52m X axis and 49m Y axis. FDB showed 15m in X axis and 13m in Y axis. These results show that the digital map produced using FDB has much higher accuracy than DGN based digital map.

  • This study is aimed to acquire the depth information and measure the water volume of reservoir using the robot-ship equipped with GPS and echosounder. Robot-ship is an automatic system for measuring exact depth and bed topography. According to field experiment results, measured water volume by the robot-ship data was not much exceeding 6.8% in comparison with existing water volume data, and it was guessed because of sediments of reservoir bottom. The robot-ship could be used to acquire economically and exactly the water depth and bed topography of reservoirs, dams, rivers and so on.

  • Excessive torsional behavior of asymmetric building structures is observed to be the main cause of the poor seismic performance. Concepts of current design provisions for torsion are based on the assumption that the strength of the lateral load resisting elements can be adjusted without changing their stiffness. This paper investigates inelastic torsional effects of multi-story high rise residential building in Korea on increase of strength demand and ductility of members using some methods published in literature. The methods analyze the reduction of strength and member ductility resulting from torsional mechanisms. This study shows that use of these concepts control inelastic torsion during preliminary seismic design of multi-story building of irregular plans.

  • 북제주군 협재리 해안가 인근에 소재한 건지굴을 대상으로 화산지역의 용암동굴에서 특이하게 진행되고 있는 응암석회질화(鎔岩石灰質化: lava-calcification)의 위종동(僞鐘洞)에 대하여 동굴내부와 주변상황에 근거한 분석, 고찰을 통하여 석회질화의 원인을 규명하고, 생태와 환경 및 동굴해안접경구와의 상관성을 고찰하고, 주위에 흔히 분포되어있는 스코리아에 대해 분석응용을 하였다. 용암(화산)동굴은 생성이후 퇴화한다. 그러나 용암동굴에서 용암석회질화의 위종동 현상이 발생하면 용암의 기공과 균열부분 또는 용암석간의 공극에 석회질 성분이 침투, 고화, 융합되면서 구조적 보강효과의 발생으로 오히려 건축구조물의 콘크리트 역할과 같이 견고하게 진행되는 특이현상을 갖는다. 이와 같은 진행성 용암석회질화 현상이 북제주군 협재리에 소재한 건지굴에서 진행되고 있음을 최초로 확인하였다.

  • The durability of a vehicle is a very important performance which can be evaluated from endurance test. This study developed a procedure for determination of a duty cycle theoretically. Vehicle load data is classified and rearranged using standard test road profile. A load pattern and a duty cycles are extracted from classified vehicle data using genetic algorithm. A duty cycle could be utilized in dynamo test to meet required test mileage. The derived duty cycles have been verified by fatigue test through the dynamometer test.

  • The purpose of this Study is to irwest~gate the Zipfian distribution in Har~gul literature. The result shows that the formulas derived from the liangul Ilterature are it1 accordance with the getlcra\ized Zipf's first law. The result also shows that the formulas derived from the Harlgul literature arc2 not in accordance with the Zlpf's second law and the penerali~ed Zipf's second law.

  • 절연체의 수명과 직접적인 관련이 있는 전기트리의 개시특성을 연구하는데 있어서, 전기트리의 개시시간이 매우 길기 때문에 실험적으로 절연재료의 수명을 구하는데 어려움이 있다. 따라서. 본 논문에서는 Weibull 해석을 이용하여, 일반적으로 사용되는 가속시험법에 의하여 얻어진 전기트리 개시전계를 사용하여 일정전압 인가시에 전기트리 개시시간을 추정하는 방법을 이론적으로 고찰하여 실험에 적용하였다. 또한 기계적 스트레스에 의한 전기트리 개시특성을 평가하기 위하여 기계적 스트레스를 모의한 XLPE 시료에 대하여 이러한 기계적 스트레스가 전기트리 개시전계 및 개시시간 특성에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 기계적 스트레스가 전기트리 개시전계 뿐만 아니라 개시시간을 현저하게 감소시켰으며, XLPE의 장기적인 신뢰성을 보증하기 위해서는 이러한 기계적 스트레스를 완화시키는 것이 매우 중요하다.

  • This paper is a study on the management system of data and documents for the LRT Project using the systems engineering approach. It is addressed a computed based management system using the Systems Engineering Approach toward system thinking to manage effectively and efficiently data and documents. Because the unified efforts was insufficient data and outcomes of project management and systems engineering during the existing LRT Project, we proposed the unified computer management system for the project management and systems engineering efforts using the systems engineering methodology like as a operation concept, collection and analysis of requirements, and functional architecture analysis. This will offer supply efficiently data and outcomes management for the LRT project and then support the automatical document publish output.
