  • In this paper, the performance analysis of the vehicle with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission has been carried out using information of engine and drivetrain. It is necessary to understand the overall system including engine, torque converter, clutch, planetary gears, and road load. The equations of motion are derived from dynamic model. The GUI computer simulation program has been developed to analyze the powertrain performance of the vehicle with the Ravigneaux type automatic transmission.

  • The most important instrument to declare oneself publicly in cyberspace is to use a homepage or website. Nowadays most of Korean as well as overseas art museums have their own websites, through which they provide consumers with essential information and strive to declare themselves publicly in cyberspace. A homepage is composed of various components and the most crucial component is the interface. The objective of this paper is to present a proposal to help get a program for efficient website management and consumer satisfaction.

  • An integrated program of driving simulator has been developed for excavators using the Motif, OpenGL, and C compiler. The developed program not only offers a GUI but also covers graphic algorithms, therefore, the user can easily run the driving simulator whose components include a simplified visual graphics system. Several graphics technique are combined and applied to the simulator program in order to increase the speed of graphical representation, which access computer memories, mix 2D models with 3D ones, and use the basic position detection method. A text format environment file has been utilized for organizing more flexible driving circumstances.

  • The accelerated testing technique using the equivalent load condition plays an important part in development process. However, in the industrial field, the theoretical background and advantages of this accelerated testing technique have been lack of understanding. Because the environmental durability condition forms the foundation of the accelerated testing technique, it is important to analyze the loading components and damage in service environment. In this work, we present the theoretical background and process for accelerated testing, and introduce our accelerated equivalent load analysis program. We developed the GUI program, and the user can easily obtain the result by selecting the program module.

  • A graphic vehicle modeling pre-processing program and a visualization post-processing program have been developed for AutoDyn7, which is a special program for vehicle dynamics. The Rapid-App for GUI(Graphic User Interface) builder and the Open Inventor for 3D graphic library have been employed to develop these programs in Silicon Graphics workstation. A Graphic User Interface program integrates vehicle modeling pre-processor, AutoDyn7 analysis processor, and visualization post-processor. In vehicle modeling pre-processor, vehicle hard point data for a suspension model are automatically converted into multibody vehicle system data. An interactive graphics capabilities provides suspension modeling aides to verify user input data interactively. In visualization post-processor, vehicle virtual test simulation results are animated with virtual testing environments.

  • This paper presents on research findings of how Visual C++ program can be used to generate codes capable of performing ramjet engine simulation To understand the diversity and applicability of this tool an arbitrary ramjet model will be considered for which generated output values will be compared with those from a commercial program GASTURB 9 iterated under the same input parameters. Several governing thermodynamic equations will first be discussed in order that we understand the fundamental idea behind values printed out on the GUI. C++ compiler was chosen as a tool of use due to its availability, ease of use, ability to compute functions faster and uniquely possible to make a stand alone GUI executable in DOS mode. The program is developed in such a way that given the ambient flight conditions, burner exit temperature and several geometry areas the program generates its own input values used in the succeeding stations. A close resemblance of output values that define performance and thermodynamic state of the engine was realized between GASTURB 9 and using this code made from C++ compiler.

  • Ice resistance on ice-transiting vessels is one of th£ important issues concerning th£ design of ships with ice classes. In this study, th£ development of GUI software for estimation of ice resistance on ice-transiting vessels is discussed. lee resistance estimation equations, based on model tests and full-scale sea trial data from many previous research articles, are studied in conjunction with two ship categories i.e., ,icebreakers/supply/tug vessels and ice-strengthened cargo vessels. lee resistance estimation equations are summarized in common format and are compared with each other. The GUI software 'Ice View,' written in MS Visual Basic language, can calculate ice resistances according to varying ice thickness and ship speed. The software can provide the calculated results, with suitable tables and graphs, for easy comparison of each ice resistance estimation equation.

  • Recently, development and application of condition monitoring and diagnostic system for improvement of durability and reliability and reduction of operating cost is generalized in the aircraft propulsion system. Expecially, for reliable operation of the high altitude and a long time and condition monitoring system to identify faults and degradations of its propulsion system should be needed. This work proposed a GUI-based On-line condition monitoring program using LabVIEW by PT6A-67 turboprop engine. The proposed on-line condition program can monitor the real engine performance as well as the trend through precise comparison between performance results calculated by the base performance simulation program and measuring engine performance signals. In the development phase of this monitoring system, a signal generation module is proposed to evaluate the proposed on-line monitoring system.
