Analysis on the Competition among Tourism Information Media through the Theory of the Niches (적소이론을 이용한 관광정보미디어간의 경쟁 분석)

  • The availability of many smartphone applications and ubiquitous Wi-Fi technology has greatly spread the uses of smartphones. Particularly smartphones with the locative media services in tourism are booming because location-based technology such as GPS is well suit with tourism and tourists' needs. Smartphones also overcome the technological limit of traditional information media such as printed book, newspaper, etc. Based on the Niche Theory, the study examines the competitive relationships among information media that are used in tourism including smartphones, traditional paper publications, and computers. The paper also examines the niche of each medium based on the theory and finds which medium is more effective and preferred by people who utilize the services before and during their travel.

  • The monitoring system using a surveillance camera, has the advantage that can be observed in real time the blind spot of the crime, case to be mounted is increasing. However, surveillance camera, is used for the purpose of verification of the crime later than risk detection of crime before advance. Therefore, in this paper, in order to supplement the weak information collection monitoring system using the monitoring camera, by using the position information of the smartphone, infers the person monitoring region, the movement path of the image information other event occurs it is a fusion iT monitoring system that provides information of the user who judged. Result of the experiment, the proposed system confirmed the improved efficiency and usability than conventional systems.

Intensity Local Map Generation Using Data Accumulation and Precise Vehicle Localization Based on Intensity Map (데이터 누적을 이용한 반사도 지역 지도 생성과 반사도 지도 기반 정밀 차량 위치 추정)

  • For the safe driving of autonomous vehicles, accurate position estimation is required. Generally, position error must be less than 1m because of lane keeping. However, GPS positioning error is more than 1m. Therefore, we must correct this error and a map matching algorithm is generally used. Especially, road marking intensity map have been used in many studies. In previous work, 3D LIDAR with many vertical layers was used to generate a local intensity map. Because it can be obtained sufficient longitudinal information for map matching. However, it is expensive and sufficient road marking information cannot be obtained in rush hour situations. In this paper, we propose a localization algorithm using an accumulated intensity local map. An accumulated intensity local map can be generated with sufficient longitudinal information using 3D LIDAR with a few vertical layers. Using this algorithm, we can also obtain sufficient intensity information in rush hour situations. Thus, it is possible to increase the reliability of the map matching and get accurate position estimation result. In the experimental result, the lateral RMS position error is about 0.12m and the longitudinal RMS error is about 0.19m.

  • This paper proposes the Kalman filter (KF) with optical flow method to estimate the position and the velocity of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the absence of global positioning system (GPS). A downward-looking camera, a gyroscope and an ultrasonic sensor are fused to compensate the measurement from optical-flow method. To overcome the problem of dealing with noise in onboard sensors, the KF is incorporated to efficiently predict the velocity and estimate the position. Basic mechanisms of optical flow and the KF are introduced and experiments are conducted to show how the techniques involved improve the estimations.

  • 최근 라이프 로그의 수집과 관리에 관련된 연구가 많이 진행 중에 있다. 또 핸드폰 카메라, 디지털 카메라, 캠코더 등의 발전으로 자신의 일상생활을 비디오로 저장하고, 인터넷을 통해 공유하는 사람도 증가하고 있다. 비디오 데이터는 많은 정보를 포함하고 있는 라이프 로그의 한 예로. 동영상의 촬영 및 수집이 활발해짐에 따라 동영상의 메타정보를 생성하고, 이를 이용해 동영상 검색과 관리에 이용하려는 연구들이 진행 중이다. 본 논문에서는 라이프 로그를 수집하고 수집된 동영상과 라이프 로그를 이용하여 의미정보를 추출하는 시스템을 제안한다. 의미정보란 사용자의 행동을 나타내는 정보로써 컴퓨터 사용, 식사, 집안일, 이동, 외출, 독서, 휴식, 일, 기타로 9가지의 의미정보를 추출한다. 제안하는 방법은 사용자로부터 GPS, 가속도센서, 캠코더를 이용해 실제 데이터를 수집하고, 전처리 과정을 통하여 특징을 추출한다. 이때 추출될 특징은 위치정보와 사용자의 상태정보 그리고 영상처리릍 통한 RGB와 HSL 색공간의 요소와 MPEG-7의 EHD(Edge Histogram Descriptor). CLD(Color Layout Descriptor)이다. 추출된 특징으로부터 사람 행동과 같은 불안정한 상황에서 강점을 보이는 확률모델 네트워크인 베이지안 네트워크를 이용하여 의미정보를 추출한다. 제안하는 방법의 유용성을 보이기 위해 실제 데이터를 수집하고 추론하고 10-Fold Cross-validation을 이용하여 데이터를 검증한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 한국 낙동강에 위치한 강정-고령보에 설치된 by-pass 어도의 유인효율을 유량 변화에 따라 살펴보고, 어도 유인효율을 극대화할 수 있는 최적의 본류 방류량을 산정하였다. 강정-고령보는 고정보와 가동보로 구성된 혼합식 보로 유량조절이 가능하며, 가동보의 조작에 따라 by-pass 어도 내의 유량이 결정된다. 유인효율의 지표로 목표어종의 HSC(Habitat Suitability Criteria) 지수에 기반한 WUA(Weighted Usable Area)를 삼았다. WUA는 평면 2차원 물리서식처 모형인 River2D를 활용하여 계산하였다. 또한 River2D로 계산된 유속장은 GPS Floater를 활용한 현장관측 자료로 검증하였으며, 어망을 이용한 월별 어류 모니터링 자료로 유인효율 평가의 타당성을 간접적으로 검증하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구 대상인 강정-고령보의 by-pass 어도에서 가장 효과적으로 목표 어류를 유인하기 위해서는 본류의 유량이 190 cms내외를 유지해야 한다. 특히 목표 어류인 모래무지가 봄철(4월~6월)에 산란기를 맞아 상하류로 이동하려는 경향을 띄므로, 이때 적절한 가동보 운영을 통해 본류 유량을 190 cms로 유지하는 것이 필요하리라 사료된다.

  • IPS is an indoor positioning system that replaces GPS, which is less accurate due to walls and roofs inside buildings. Radio signals such as Wi-Fi are used instead of satellite signals, and complex methods are being used to increase accuracy. In this paper, we present a more efficient positioning method than before by applying high-level signals to high-accuracy fingerprint techniques. A radio map is configured with high-level signals collected by utilizing Wi-Fi APs, which are more than in the past. The suitability of use was confirmed by analyzing the pattern represented by the configured radio map for each location.

  • 도로를 주행 중인 운전자들은 비상용 차량이 접근할 때 경광등 혹은 백미러를 통해 확인하고, 도로의 상황을 파악한 후에서야 길을 양보한다. 그러나 비상 차량이 접근하는 걸 뒤늦게 인지하거나, 도로의 상황이 복잡하여 차선을 변경하다 접촉사고가 발생할 수도 있고, 또한 진행할 수 있는 도로를 미리 확보하지 못하여 비상 차량이 정해진 시간 내에 도착하지 못하는 경우가 자주 발생하고 있다. 이러한 일을 개선하기 위해서 본 논문에서는 안드로이드, GPS 기술을 이용한 앱을 통해 비상 차량이 일반 차량에 일정 거리 이내에 접근할 경우에 미리 알람을 보내고 이를 사전에 방지, 및 예방할 수 있는 앱을 개발한다. 안드로이드 스튜디오를 사용하였고, Firebase를 이용해 DB및 서버를 구축하였다.

  • This paper suggests a new retrieval method using weighted vector sum to resolve a problem of traditional location-based retrieval method, nearest neighbor (NN) query, and NN query using direction. The proposed method filters out data with the radius, and then the remained retrieval area is filtered by a direction information compounded of a user's moving direction, a pre-fixed interesting direction, and a pre-fixed retrieval angle. The moving direction is computed from a vector or a weighted vector sum of several vectors using a weight to adopt several cases. The retrieval angle can be set from traditional $360^{\circ}$ to any degree you want. The retrieval data for this method can be a still and moving image recorded shooting location, and also several type of media like text, web, picture offering to customer with location of company or resort. The suggested method guarantees more accurate retrieval than traditional location-based retrieval methods because that the method selects data within the radius and then removes data of useless areas like passed areas or an area of different direction. Moreover, this method is more flexible and includes the direction based NN.

A Development of Maritime Search and Rescue Supporting System using Smartphone Application (스마트폰 어플리케이션을 활용한 해상 구조 지원 시스템 개발)

  • Distress accidents occur annually by and failure of sea rescue and time delay lead to fatal accident. In the event of maritime distress, most of the equipments used for search and rescue are in responsible for the position of ships. An MOB equipment is a representative equipment for lifesaving and uses AIS communication method. However, the MOB equipment has problems of interference with existing vessel traffic process and it is difficult to apply because there is no proper certification standard. Therefore, this paper proposes a maritime search and rescue supporting system using smartphone. Utilizing the widely constructed IT infrastructure, it collects position information of the fishing boat and leisure ship using GPS embedded in the smartphone. Also the developed system supports to participate in the rescue by sending the information about the occurrence of the survivor in a certain area to the ship operator.
