  • 전 세계 시각 연구실에서는 세계협정시(UTC)를 유지하기 위해 GPS 위성의 코드 신호를 이용해왔다. 최근 GLONASS 위성 시스템이 전 세계적으로 서비스되면서 GLONASS 위성의 코드 신호를 이용한 시각 전송 기법에 대한 연구가 진행되었고 이에 GPS 와 GLONASS를 결합한 시각 전송 기법이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 GLONASS 위성의 코드 신호를 이용해서 GLONASS 위성과 관측 시스템간의 시각 오프셋을 추출하는 시각 전송 기법에서 윤초에 대해 소개하고 그 적용 결과를 제시하고자 한다.

  • In recent years, Container Security Device(CSD) using GPS & GLONASS to improve logistics efficiency are being extensively researched. The purpose of this paper is to examine the performance development antenna usable cargo container security transport. Antenna developed by study were optimized to match logistics environment apply to GPS/GLONASS dual frequency for monitering system. The measure of antenna have confirmation about frequency characteristics each 1575.42MHz, 1602MHz and VSWR is 2:1 measured in return loss -9.54dB. Reliability of this antenna has been verified about GPS/GLONASS through test-operation between the south korea and Russia.

  • GPS(Global Positioning System) is widely used in the navigation system, ITS(Intelligence Transportation System), and mobile communications. Recently, it is considered to combine the GPS receiver with the CLONASS for the improvement of performance and accuracy. In this paper, a wideband aperture-coupled patch antenna with circular polarization is designed and implemented for the use of CPS/GLONASS combined receiver. The measured characteristics of the manufactured antenna shows the - l5 dB bandwidth of 220 MHz and the axial ratio less than 2.1 dB, and it satisfies the requirements of the GPS/GLONASS antenna.

  • GPS is an efficient system in surveying and car navigation. but it is difficult to catch minimum number of satellite when it is hindered by obstacle such as city area. GLONASS system doesn't have perfect constellation yet, but it has many similarities with GPS system in principle of point positioning and signal system. so, it is expected to be much efficient when it is used with GPS system. For the purpose of this, the coordinates of GPS and GLONASS system, the quality of time and frequency was investigated, and the algorithm of point positioning was made. also, the efficiency of GPS/GLONASS combination was presented by analysing the precision of 3D point positioning using C/A code and Yuma satellite orbit information.

Small-Sized GPS/GLONASS Patch Antenna Using a Ceramic Dielectric (세라믹 유전체를 이용한 소형 GPS/GLONASS 패치 안테나)

  • A small sized ceramic dielectric patch antenna is designed and implemented for GPS/GLONASS combined receiver, and it shows a wideband characteristics with circular polarization. For the miniaturization of the antenna, high-permittivity dielectric material is used, and the wideband characteristics with low axial-ratio is achieved by using dual feed with 90$^{\circ}$ phase difference. The measured data of the manufactured antenna show that the bandwidth is 242 MHz, the axial ratio is less than 3 dB, the half-power beam-width is more than 112$^{\circ}$, and the antenna satisfies the required characteristics of the GPS/GLONASS antenna.

Combined GPS/GLONASS Relative Receiver DCB Estimation Using the LSQ Method and Ionospheric TEC Changes over South Korea

  • The use of dual-frequency measurements from the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) enables us to observe precise ionospheric total electron content (TEC). Currently, many GNSS reference stations in South Korea provide both GPS and GLONASS data. In the present study, we estimated the grid-based TEC values and relative receiver differential code biases (DCB) from a GNSS network operated by the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute. In addition, we compared the diurnal variations in a TEC time series from solutions of the GPS only, the GLONASS only, and combined GPS/GLONASS processing. A significant difference between the GPS only TEC and combined GPS/GLONASS TEC at a specific grid point over South Korea appeared near the solar terminator. It is noted that GLONASS measurements can contribute to observing a variation in ionospheric TEC over high latitude regions.

  • The carrier phase measurements from GPS and GLONASS have different characteristics and therefore, have to be processed with different methods to provide precise positions or attitudes. In this contribution, at first, a measurement model is derived which can be used to not only GLONASS only applications but also both GPS and GLONASS applications. And then an error analysis of the proposed method performed using the derived model to derive analytic relationships between GDOP, PDOP and RGDOP. Finally, an integer ambiguity resolution method which was used in GPS is expanded to GPS and GLONASS. The proposed results can be directly applied to the design and analysis of GLONASS receiver and application programs. Furthermore, it is expected that the suggested method can also be effectively applied to combine the characteristically different measurements from the future satellite navigation systems such as GPS modernization, Galileo and QZSS.

  • This paper introduces an analysis of domestic observation results from r2cggtts program for GLONASS time transfer. r2cggtts program has been utilized by the time laboratories all over the world for GPS time transfer and modified to apply GLONASS time transfer recently. Hence, the result applied with domestic GLONASS Observation file and navigation file is presented in this paper.

  • Precise Point Positioning (PPP) is a stand-alone precise positioning approach. As the quality of satellite orbit and clock products from analysis centers has been improved, PPP can provide more precise positioning accuracy and reliability. A combined use of Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global Orbiting Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) in PPP is now available. In this paper, we explained about an approach for combined GPS and GLONASS PPP measurement processing, and validated the performance through the comparison with GPS-only PPP results. We also used the measurement obtained from the GRAS reference station for the performance validation. As a result, we found that the combined GPS/GLONASS PPP can yield a more precise positioning than the GPS-only PPP.

  • This paper designs a digital correlator for the integrated GPS/GLONASS receiver consisting of DCO, carrier cycle counter, code generator, code phase counter, mixer, epoch counter, accumulator. It is designed using Verilog-HDL(Verilog-Hardware Description Language) and synthesized using EDA(Electronic Design Automation) tools. The performance of the designed digital correlator is verified by the functional simulation and real satellite tracking experiments.
