  • Mechanical spring and hydraulic pressure operated mechanisms are applied in most of today's High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear(GIS)s. This paper proposes a new type of operation mechanism for GIS circuit breakers rated at 245kV and 40kA. The Motor-Direct-Drive-Mechanism (MDDM) has many advantages compared to conventional operating mechanisms. It has a very simple structure with only one moving part, low mechanical stress and audible noise. It also allows monitoring, operation speed control and self-diagnosis functions.

  • Recently, GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) has been recognizing of importance on development of diagnosis technique which is happened problem on confidence for a long time use. Therefore, the measurement and analysis of PD with prior phenomenon of insulation breakdown is used many method of diagnosis for GIS. In this paper, we simulate trouble condition in DS and analysis trouble signal to use electrical and mechanical methods, interpretation of detected signal has analysed with to use ø-q-n pattern and neural network. For this analysis, we have used the induction and AE(acoustic emission) sensors. For the simulation experiment, we make DS for 170 KV GIS and analyze the classification and characteristics of detected signals with the application of neural network algorithm.

  • GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) 내부에서 부분방전 신호를 검출 할 수 있는 UHF(Ultra High Frequency) 센서를 제작하고 그 특성을 조사하였다. UHF 센서는 GIS 내부에서 전기적, 기계적으로 안정된 형태로 제작되었으며, 영국의 NGC(National Grid Company)에서 제시한 규격을 충분히 만족함을 확인하였다. 부분방전 신호가 발생되는 모형 GIS 내에 UHF 센서를 장착하여 실제 부분방전 산호가 잘 측정됨을 확인하였다.

  • Gas insulated switchgear(GIS) is an important equipment in a substation. It is highly desirable to measure a partial discharge(PD) in GIS which is a symptom before insulation breakdown occurs. The issue is that the PD signal is weak and sensitive to external noise. In this paper, the algorithm for detection of PD in GIS using wavelet transform is proposed. The wavelet transform provides a direct quantitative measure of spectral content, "dynamic spectrum", in the time-frequency domain. The recommended mother wavelet is 'Daubechies' wavelet. 'db4', the most commonly applied mother wavelet in the power quality analysis, can be used most properly in disturbance phenomena which occurs rapidly for a short time. Through the procedure of wavelet transform, noise extraction and reconstruction, the signal is Analyzed to determine the magnitude of PD in GIS. In experimental results, we can know that partial discharge is exactly detected in combination of Dl and D2 using wavelet transform.transform.

  • In recent years, the companies of electric power equipment for MV, HV class trend to develop that the eco-friendly insulated(solid, eco-gas, air etc.) switchgear replace with existent SF6 gas insulated switchgear by environmental problems such as global warming and soon. This paper introduces the Solid Insulated Switchgear(SIS) which is the epoxy of eco-friendly insulation material. The characteristic of SIS to introduce in this paper is as following. 1) Eco-friendly. (SF6 gas free) 2) The structure of flexible system. (Expansion) 3) The optimum design. (The Analysis of electrical & mechanical) 4) An Interface treatment between epoxy and insert. (Molding technology) This paper described about some technology for development of SIS.

  • 170kV GIS(Gas Insulated Switchgear) is widely used in large industrial factory-electrical facilities of private use because has many benefits. But Other equipments's failures are occurred by GIS failures and give rise economic problems to user. Therefore we will examine the actual condition of the 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use and are able to confirm the distribution characteristic analysis of disconnecting switchgear. In this paper, we presents the actual condition investigation of the disconnecting switchgear of 170kV GIS-electrical facilities of private use by post - failure pattern, inspection method, test equipments and so forth.

  • 정상 상태의 gas-insulated switchgear (CIS) 내부에서 발생한 부분방전 신호를 검출 할 수 있는 UHF 부분방전 검출 센서를 실험용 362 kV GIS에 적용하였다. GIS 내부에 알루미늄 이물질을 투입한 다음 120 - 180 kVrms 전압을 단계적으로 인가하고 장시간 인가전압 위상에 대한 UHF 부분방전 신호를 측정하였다. 인가전압을 높일수록 검출된 방전신호의 간격이 늘어났으며, 이물질로 사용한 알루미늄선의 길이가 길어질수록 이물질의 상승고도는 증가하였다. GIS 내부에서 이물질의 운동에 대한 간단한 계산에서도 비슷한 경향을 보임을 확인하였다.

  • GIS(Gas insulated switchgear)내부에서 발생한 부분방전 신호를 검출 할 수 있는 UHF(Ultra-high frequency) 부분방전 검출 센서를 345 kV GIS의 AC 내전압 시험에 적용하였다. 부분방전 센서를 적용한 상태에서 각 상별로, bus별로 나누어 계통 최고전압의 1.0 p.u, 1.5 p.u, 1.73 p.u 전압을 단계적으로 인가하였으며 간헐적으로 부분방전 신호가 검출됨을 확인하였다. 간헐적인 부분방전 신호는 GIS 내부에 있던 이물질에서 약한 방전이 시작되고 인가전압을 높임에 따라 방전의 강도가 증가하다 소멸되었다. 방전을 일으킨 이물질이 모두 증발되었거나 위치 변화에 의해 방전이 소멸된 것으로 판단된다.
