다개체군 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 퍼지 제어기의 설계 (A Design of Fuzzy Controllers using Genetic Algorithm)

  • Fuzzy controllers show good performance in case of the systems being nonlinear and difficult to solve. But these fuzzy controllers have problems which have to decide suitable rules and membership functions. In general, we decide those using the heuristic methods or the experience of experts. Recently, G.A. have been studied in this field. The number of rules increase exponentially when the number of input and output increase. It also makes hard to decide the rules and membership functions even though we use G.A. In this paper, we suggest parallel fuzzy controllers, and also the method to decrease the number of rules. The excellent performance of these methods is confirmed through simulations.

  • It is proposed, for fuzzy combustion control system of refuse incinerator to find the relationship between inputs and outputs and to generate rules to control by using rough set theory. It is not easy to find out the corresponding inputs for each output and the control rules with incomplete or imprecise information consisting expert knowledge, process and manipulator values in the field, and operation manual for the given system. Most decision problems can be formulated employing decision table formalism. A decision table on fuzzy combustion control system for refuse incinerator is simplified and produces control(rules). The I/O realtions and the control rules found by rough set theory are compared with the previous result.

  • Design of Fuzzy cotroller consists of intuition of human expert, and any other information about how to control system, they translated into a set of rules. If the rules adequately control the system, the design work is done well. If the rules are inadequate, the designer must modify the rules. Through this procedure, the system can be controlled. In this paper, we designed simply a fuzzy controller based on human knowledge, but it has errors showing some vibrations. So we updated the optimal parameters of fuzzy controller using Recursive least square algorithm.

  • A neural optimization network and fuzzy rules are proposed to control the redundant robot manipulators in an environment with obstacle. A neural optimization network is employed to solve the optimization problem for resolved motion control of redundant robot manipulators in an environment with obstacle. The fuzzy rules are proposed to determine the weights of neural optimization networks to avoid the collision between robot manipulators and obstacle. The inputs of fuzzy rules are the resultant distance and change of the distance and sum of the changes by differential motion of each joint. And the output of fuzzy rules is defined as the capability of collision avoidance of joint differential motion. The weightings of neural optimization networks are adjusted according to the capability of collision aboidance of each joint. To show the validities of the proposed method, computer simulation results are illustrated for the redundant robot of the planar type with three degrees of freedom.

러프집합을 이용한 퍼지 규칙의 효율적인 감축 (The Optimal Reduction of Fuzzy Rules using a Rough Set)

  • 퍼지 추론은 애매한 지식을 효과적으로 처리할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 그러나 퍼지규칙의 연관속성은 규칙을 과다하게 생성하기 때문에 유용하고 중요한 규칙을 결정하는데 여러 가지 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 러프집합을 적용하여 규칙간의 상관성을 고려하여 불필요한 속성을 제거하고, 퍼지 상대농도를 이용하여 추론결과의 정확성을 유지하면서 규칙의 수를 최소화 하는 방법을 제안한다. 실험결과 규칙의 개수는 감소되었으며 추론 결과가 감축하기 이전과 일치하고 규칙간의 중복성이 제거되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose new algorithms for the partition of input space and the generation of fuzzy control rules. The one consists of Shannon and extended fuzzy entropy function, the other consists of adaptive fuzzy neural system with back propagation teaming rule. The focus of this scheme is to realize the optimal fuzzy rule base with the minimal number of the parameters of the rules, reducing the complexity of the system. The proposed algorithm is tested with the time series prediction problem using Mackey-Glass chaotic time series.

Adaptive Transform Image Coding by Fuzzy Subimage Classification

  • An adaptive fuzzy system can efficiently classify subimages into four categories according to image activity level for image data compression. The system estimates fuzzy rules by clustering input-output data generated from a given adaptive transform image coding process. The system encodes different images without modification and reduces side information when encoding multiple images. In the second part, a fuzzy system estimates optimal bit maps for the four subimage classes in noisy channels assuming a Gauss-Markov image model. The fuzzy systems respectively estimate the sampled subimage classification and the bit-allocation processes without a mathematical model of how outputs depend on inputs and without rules articulated by experts.

A Design of Dynamically Simultaneous Search GA-based Fuzzy Neural Networks: Comparative Analysis and Interpretation

  • In this paper, we introduce advanced architectures of genetically-oriented Fuzzy Neural Networks (FNNs) based on fuzzy set and fuzzy relation and discuss a comprehensive design methodology. The proposed FNNs are based on 'if-then' rule-based networks with the extended structure of the premise and the consequence parts of the fuzzy rules. We consider two types of the FNNs topologies, called here FSNN and FRNN, depending upon the usage of inputs in the premise of fuzzy rules. Three different type of polynomials function (namely, constant, linear, and quadratic) are used to construct the consequence of the rules. In order to improve the accuracy of FNNs, the structure and the parameters are optimized by making use of genetic algorithms (GAs). We enhance the search capabilities of the GAs by introducing the dynamic variants of genetic optimization. It fully exploits the processing capabilities of the FNNs by supporting their structural and parametric optimization. To evaluate the performance of the proposed FNNs, we exploit a suite of several representative numerical examples and its experimental results are compared with those reported in the previous studies.

On the Design of Simple-structured Adaptive Fuzzy Logic Controllers

  • One of the methods to simplify the design process for a fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is to reduce the number of variables representing the rule antecedent. This in turn decreases the number of control rules, membership functions, and scaling factors. For this purpose, we designed a single-input FLC that uses a sole fuzzy input variable. However, it is still deficient in the capability of adapting some varying operating conditions although it provides a simple method for the design of FLC's. We here design two simple-structured adaptive fuzzy logic controllers (SAFLC's) using the concept of the single-input FLC. Linguistic fuzzy control rules are directly incorporated into the controller by a fuzzy basis function. Thus some parameters of the membership functions characterizing the linguistic terms of the fuzzy control rules can be adjusted by an adaptive law. In our controllers, center values of fuzzy sets are directly adjusted by an adaptive law. Two SAFLC's are designed. One of them uses a Hurwitz error dynamics and the other a switching function of the sliding mode control (SMC). We also prove that 1) their closed-loop systems are globally stable in the sense that all signals involved are bounded and 2) their tracking errors converge to zero asymptotically. We perform computer simulations using a nonlinear plant.

가중 퍼지 소속함수 기반 신경망을 이용한 Wisconsin Breast Cancer 예측 퍼지규칙의 추출 (Extracting Wisconsin Breast Cancer Prediction Fuzzy Rules Using Neural Network with Weighted Fuzzy Membership Functions)

  • 본 논문은 가중 퍼지소속함수 기반 신경망(Neural Network with Weighted Fuzzy Membership Functions, NNWFM)을 이용하여 Wisconsin breast cancer의 예측을 수행하는 퍼지규칙을 추출하고 있다. NNWFM는 자기적응적(self adaptive)가중 퍼지소속함수를 가지고 주어진 입력 데이터로부터 학습하여 퍼지규칙을 생성하고 이론 기반으로 예측을 수행한다. 신경망 구조의 중간 부분인 하이퍼박스(hyperbox)들은 n개의 대, 중, 소의 가중 퍼지소속함수 집합으로 구성되며, 학습 후 각 집합은 퍼지집합의 bounded sum을 사용하여 다시 하나의 가중 퍼지소속함수로 합성된다. n개의 특징입력(feature input)은 학습된 모든 하이퍼박스에 연결되어 예측 작업을 수행한다. NNWFM으로 추출된 2개의 퍼지규칙은 99.41%의 예측 인식율을 가지며 이는 퍼지규칙의 수와 인식율에 있어 현재 발표된 논문의 결과보다 우수함을 보여준다.
