The sustainable development of local communities is faced with limitation due to poor infrastructure and lack of cooperation among stake-holders. To overcome such circumstances and thus to ensure balanced development of the local communities, the central government is driving construction of innovative cities mainly through transfer of public institutions to local cities. In this study, to contribute to the development of plans for the future agropolis' associated with the transfer of public institutions, efficient organization mechanisms of the agropolis such as basic structure and spatial allocation was examined through analyses of advanced cases(Sophia Antipolis, St. Hyacinthe Science Part Food Valley, Stoneleigh Park) of foreign countries. The analyses showed that the organization of agropolis were consisted of three main components; 1) agricultural and food industry complex conducting R&D, 2) service facilities(information, trade, consulting and advertisement) supporting agricultural and food industries and rural enterprise center in charge of a variety of events including exhibition, rural experience, education, and contest, 3) silver facilities such as hospital and town providing medical service and residence. Based on the results, inventories of facilities which are necessary in 'the future agropolis' and their spatial allocation were suggested.

Nuclear technology made a great contribution to the national economy and society by localization of nuclear power plant design, and by stabilization of electricity price, etc. It is very important to conduct the retrospective analysis for the nuclear technology contribution to the national economy and society, but it is more important to conduct prospective analysis for the nuclear technology contribution. The term "technology value" is often used in the prospective analysis to value the result of technology development. There are various definitions of technology value, but generally it means the increment of future revenue or the reduction of future cost by technology development. These technology valuation methods are widely used in various fields (information technology or energy technology, etc). The main objective of this research is to develop valuation methodology that represents unique characteristics of nuclear power technology. The valuation methodology that incorporates market share changes of generation technologies was developed. The technology valuation model which consists of five modules (electricity demand forecast module, technology development module, market share module, electricity generation module, total cost module) to incorporate market share changes of generation technologies was developed. The nuclear power technology value assessed by this technology valuation model was 3 times more than the value assessed by the conventional method. So it was confirmed that it is very important to incorporates market share changes of generation technologies. The valuation results of nuclear power technology in this study can be used as policy data for ensuring the benefits of nuclear power R&D (Research and Development) investment.

A Technology Roadmap (TRM) is extensively used as a tool to manage activities of researching and developing technologies and products that can help a business achieve its goals. However, most of past studies on TRMs have limited themselves to developing in a single product or a single industry level. Few research studies have examined how TRM are used for convergence products and services for future development. The aim of this chapter is to introduce a TRM development methodology for u-City technologies and to consider its possible application at the R&D program level in Korea. This research suggests ways to develop a TRM in u-City development by segmenting u-City technologies, projecting TRM for each technology and designing TRM templates for evaluating both current and future technologies. In addition, the study further highlights to prioritize which technology is favorable for the implementation based on its economic feasibility and technological maturity.

Purpose - The aim of this study is to investigate the problems, challenges, opportunities and future prospects of Islamic banking and finance in the UK. However, this study brings forward into 3 main purposes. Firstly, to explore the development of financial institutions, products and regulatory reforms. Secondly, to find out the performance of Islamic banking institutions. Lastly, to identify the problems, challenges and Islamic banking future prospects. Research design, data, and methodology - An in-depth literature review was carried out to fulfil the research objectives. Results - The findings point out the basic problems of Islamic banking industry in UK such as unfavorable regulatory environment, unfamiliarity with the Islamic Banking System, lack of portfolio management, absence of liquidity instruments, in need of professional bankers, and blending of approach of Islamic scholars with the approach of the conventional bankers. The findings also indicate that there are greater opportunities in the UK for development and growth of Islamic financial system because Muslim community is eager to take financial products. Conclusions - It is hoped that issues pertaining to Islamic banking products can be resolved through consensus of Shariah scholars. There is need to educate the Muslim community about Islamic financial products and service.

Fire industry has been an important role in from the fire and disaster to protect life and property of citizens. In recent years the national fire industry in Japan and the United States Fire industrialized countries with respect to the fire industry in quality and technology challenges facing the competition, and fire Industry for China and other poor countries and vulnerable to the price competition in the fire industry's difficulties with this study is necessary. The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of the fire industry, the development is aimed to provide direction. The proposed development direction for the future industrial development of the fire, setting goals, fostering the promotion of industrial development direction, running through the fire in the actual application will be available.

This study is about the development of Fashion Design using of Korean Motive applied Digital Medium. With rapid change during the 21st century, digital media has emerged as the most important communication tool to facilitate speedy and interactive conversation. The recent emergence of 'Mass Customization' is a good reflection of digital transition's interactive features, realizing product variation and customization through flexibility and immediate responsiveness. In this so-called digital era, fashion is a tool that facilitates the use of digital media, while acting as the object, or the purpose, where digital media can be applied. This study looked at the development situations and future utilization method regarding digital fashion, which was recreated through digital media. In this study, a new design process was developed through digital media and actually manufactured Korean image clothing to reflect the motif of plant found in Korean folk paintings. Three-Dimensional(3D) digital shape was dressed in virtual clothing for comparison, thereby adding some features of textile design to three-Dimensional(3D) shape. Through the process, the study can provide various potential accesses to future development of fashion design utilizing digital media.

The purpose of this study is to present suggestions to improve the problems the domestic department stores face by analyzing and comparing the status of the development of PB which is absolutely critical for the specialized domestic department stores to survive, and to search for the future course which may lead to boosting sales and profit by developing the strategic PB products. Selected for this study were atotal of 20 PB's out of domestic as well s foreign PB's in the 4 big department stores. The data were analyzed with SAS package employed as per the by items frequency, percent, mean and standard deviation. From the above study, following viewpoints can be taken into account for the future development of PB ; First, the active will of the excutive is basically necessary for successful development of PB, by relying on long-term investment. Second, the existing mid or low-price goods should be in line with the mid or high price one's development for domestic merchandising with focus on middle or high class society. Third, the stock burden, biggest problem of PB, can be solved by discount policy at optimum prices and success rate of merchandising prediction.

The Korean electric power supply plan was prepared by greatly enhancing the environmental and safety with considering the economical efficiency of the electric equipment, the impact on the environment and the public safety. As a result, the fossil energy-based power generation sector is accelerating the paradigm shift to eco-friendly energy such as solar power and wind. Also the solar power industry is expected to grow into a super large-sized industry by converging the energy storage and electric vehicle industry. Generally, a levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) is used to calculate the power generation cost for different generation power generation efficiency, operating cost, and life span. In this paper, we have studied the future research and development direction of photovoltaic technology development for the era of massive utilization of photovoltaic solar power, and have studied the LCOE of major countries including China, USA, Germany, Japan and Korea. Finally we have reviewed USA and Japan research programs to reduce the LCOE.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the current technical status and future prospects regarding helicopter simulators. In the introduction section, we briefly summarize the concept of the simulator and the development history of helicopter simulators. In the main section, the development status of helicopter simulation technology is first presented and the FAA/EASA certification is then introduced as a verification method for the reliability evaluation of the developed simulator technology. In addition, several issues that need to be resolved along with future development directions are discussed to improve the reliability of helicopter flight simulator.

An anthological analysis of known literature and historical sources is carried out in the work. It was found that the development of foreign language training of future professionals was influenced by a number of factors: socio-economic (focus on the needs of the labor market, integration into the international space, scientific and technological progress); educational (updating legal documents in the field of education, standardization of educational content, development of methods of professional development of a specialist). The historical period is analyzed and the following stages are determined: ideological (realization of ideological imperative in language and professional training of future specialists; educational-methodical (preparation according to unified curricula, reading and translation as a leading type of speech activity); integration (integration of foreign language teaching and multicultural education)), methodological (use of traditional verbal methods, standardized textbooks). Thus, the research conducted in the article indicates the periods (stages) of formation, functioning and development of foreign language education.
