우리나라 대학도서관에서는 미국과 달리 지정자료 및 e-Reserve 서비스 운영이 매우 저조한 실정이다. 본 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 e-Reserve 서비스 활성화를 위한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위하여 미국 131개 대학도서관의 e-Reserve 서비스 운영 사례를 살펴보았다. 운영 사례를 확인하기 위하여 131개의 대학도서관 웹사이트를 조사하였으며 중에서 7개 대학도서관의 e-Reserve 서비스 운영 방식을 비교 분석하고, 4개의 e-Reserve 지원 소프트웨어의 기능을 확인하였다. 연구결과는 국내 대학도서관에서 e-Reserve 서비스를 운영하는데 있어 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이며 분석한 지원 소프트웨어의 기능은 시스템 도입 시 고려할 기능요건이 될 것으로 판단된다.

학교도서관 헌장은 학교도서관이 나아가야 할 방향과 기본적으로 지켜야 할 방침이나 규범을 열거한 규칙이나 법칙이다. IFLA/UNESCO, IASL, 일본의 학교도서관 헌장을 비교하고 분석해 본 결과 IFLA/UNESCO 학교도서관 헌장은 학교도서관의 임무, 예산 확보와 네트워크, 목적, 직원, 운영 및 관리, 선언의 구현 등으로 구성되어 있는데, 예산 확보와 네트워크를 강조하고 있다. IASL 학교도서관 선언은 학교도서관의 기능, 자료, 시설, 인적자원, 정보활용능력, 정부 및 공공단체의 지원 등을 구성요소로 하고 있는데, 정보활용능력 육성을 강조하고 있다. 일본의 학교도서관 헌장은 학교도서관의 이념, 기능, 직원, 자료, 시설, 운영 등을 구성요소로 하고 있는데, 학교도서관의 이념을 강조하고 있다. IFLA/UNESCO, IASL, 일본의 학교도서관 헌장을 비교하고 분석한 결과를 토대로 우리나라의 학교도서관 헌장은 선진국의 구성요소를 수용하되 학교도서관의 교육적 역할을 강조하여 교육 영역을 별도의 항목으로 하고 학교도서관의 임무, 시설, 인적자원, 교육, 예산, 운영 및 관리, 헌장 구현을 위한 정부의 책임 등을 구성요소로 하는 것이 바람직하겠다.

Modern public library is expanding its role as generalized cultural facility. Therefore public library that has comfortable and physical environment for various age and various users are needed. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the application of universal design in common space of public library, and trying to suggest environmental improvement plan that various users could comfortably use the library based on its data. The scope of this research were adjusted as 8 public libraries located in Seoul and metropolitan area of Seoul. Spacial scope that was set of this research was common space of public library and scope of content was about application of universal design. As a result of the research, first, the application of universal design toward common space of public library were appeared as low. Second, constant management and application development of universal design is needed. Third, as roles and functions of public library become various from now on, application of delicate universal design is needed for intention of users.

This present study purposed to propose a plan of building a future oriented school library that supports teachers' teaching with various multimedia and Internet materials applicable in class immediately, helps students' self directed learning activities, and plays its role as a cultural center of the local community. As for research methods, this study examines the basic directions and characteristics of school libraries defined by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development, and investigates the current state of school libraries. In addition, we survey cases of library plans in Incheon, and suggest standards for planning and propose a plan. Ultimately, we establish a library plan for S Elementary School in Incheon and execute the plan and, in the course, derive ideas for satisfying students' demands with regard to their sentiment, stable and flexible layout and flow lines, facilities and space within the library, etc. What is more, we create indexes for library planning so that school libraries can contribute to various cultural activities and the development of local community beyond their functions as school library facilities.

Rendering maps is an essential feature of the user interface component of a location based service (LBS) system. However, a developer may not too much worry about implementing the rendering maps part of his or her system because there are quite a few publicly available libraries that provide all kinds of functions of manipulating maps. Google Maps, Yahoo Map, Naver Map, Daum Map, and so on are example sites that provide those libraries. Rendering drawings is to indoor LBS as rendering maps is to LBS. However, there is no such thing as Google Maps that provides libraries for rendering drawings. This paper introduces a few web services and a library that is useful in developing user interfaces of indoor LBS systems.

The purpose of this study is to survey the development trends of school libraries in the western world namely U. S. A., Canada by analyzing such items as education and environment, staff, policy, standard and professional organization, and to find out how and why they were able to maintain efficient library services. The major findings are summarized as follows : (1) There are school district supervisor whose functions are to direct and supervise the school libraries in the district. (2) The school district supervisor, school administrator, Teacher and Teacher librarian all recognize the importance of its educational role and cooperate together for the development. (3) They gether statistical data on school library for continuous revision of statement, guideline and standard. (4) Not only the educational organization and the library organization but also the private foundation conduct systematic research and extend financial aid for the development of school library. (5) The Compulsory Codes and pertinent laws have been enacted to promote school library development.

본 연구에서는 태그 서비스를 제공하는 국 내외 대학도서관 웹 사이트와 이에 상응하는 서비스를 제공중인 상용 사이트를 각각 3개씩 선별하여 '인기태그'를 중심으로 비교 분석하였다. 인기태그의 수집을 위하여 태그의 인기와 중요도를 바탕으로 각 사이트에서 제공하는 태그 클라우드에서 태그들을 추출하여 태그동기, 태그기능, 그리고 태그의 형태적 특성을 기준으로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 학내 구성원인 이용자의 참여 유도를 통하여 풍부한 태그 자료를 구축하고 서비스하는데 활용됨으로써 대학도서관 웹사이트에서의 참여, 공유, 개방을 통한 집단 지성의 가치를 창출 하는데 도움이 될 것이다.

본 연구는 교회도서관의 기능, 직원, 자료, 자료조직, 시설, 열람봉사, 전산화. 예산등에 관하여 현황을 조사, 분석하고, 현재의 문제점을 추출하여 각 영역에서 바람직한 운영방안을 모색하고자하였다. 조사대상은 교인이 10,000명 이상이며 도서관직원이 근무하는 서울시내의 7개 개신교 교회의 도서관을 선정하였다. 연구 결과, 우리나라 교회는 도서관을 설치한 곳이 대단히 적어서 교회운영자의 교회도서관에 대한 인식의 전환이 시급하였다. 그리고 선구적인 입장에 있는 연구대상 교회도서관도 연구영역에서 많은 문제점들을 내포하고 있었다. 앞으로 교회도서관은 직원. 자료, 시설, 예산을 확보하고, 전산화를 실시하여 교회활동을 보조하는 중요한 기관이 되어야 할 것이 요구되었다.

As database become more variable and multimedia, the integration between conventional library based on printed matter and digital library on IT makes it accelerated that the changes in today's information circumstances. Due to more leisure time modern people who get intellectual and interested in variety so they need continuing education, intellectual satisfaction and cultural life. Consequently today's public library expands to become a source of every kind of information, an educational facility and community facility to fulfill the cultural needs. On the assumption above, this study aims at offering database for planning public library that meets the needs for multifunctional library through analyzing space, structure, and character of modern public libraries and chooses 8 cases in Japan provide both primary and additional functions. Quantitative data from blueprints, websites and publications has been collected to analyze the space arrangement corresponding with the functional characteristics.

본 연구는 대학도서관에서의 웹목록 이용도를 조사 분석하였다. 연구의 조사대상으로 51개 대학도서관을 선정한후 동일 유형별로 분류하여 9개 그룹으로 나누었다. 9개의 유형별 웹목록은 각 시스템별로 운영상의 특징, 접근점, 탐색특성, 출력특성, 지원특성별로 분석하였으며 그 결과를 제시하였다.
