Researching behavior of users in public library is very important processing and their activities can be judged with the regard of required inner spaces and related those functions. The subject of this study is to examine the organization of inner spaces in public library and to propose the prototype of space composition in public library on the future. Not only the relation of space program of each library but also the network among public libraries are not connected efficiently. That's why the public library is not used as local cultural place. Usually, the organization of inner spaces has not been recognized and approached satisfactorily. As the result of the above researching, the function of the culture facilities should be connected to the open study-room which now using just for study. It will make users to recognize and approach public library easily.

Jon Gyunk Gak established in 1475 was the library of Sung Kyun Kwan which was the only university in the period of Yi Dynasty. For the study of library histories of Korea, particularly the libraries of high learning institutions the Jon Gyung Gak library acquires a greater importance. The collection of Jon Gyung Gak consisted mainly of Chinese classics such as the works of Confucius, Mencius, or the books about histories which were the textbooks of students in those days. But the books about Laoism or Buddhism were strictly forbiddened, and also books like medicine or agriculture pertaining to technical sciences were disregarded. The Jon Gyung Gak was destroyed by fire in 1514 and suffered severely again by the 1m Chin War in 1590's, but the library had been made constant efforts to maintain its collections for the performance of educational functions. This paper gives special emphasis to analyzing the collection of Jon Gyung Gak by its chronological order.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors influencing on the organizational changes of the university libraries. Results of the analysis, that is, factors that cause the library organization to change, are as follows 1. Changes in library size physical facilities, growth and diversity of library collections, change in personnel organization, role enrichment and faculty status for librarians, management pattern of library director, change in financial su n.0, pport. 2. Change in program : change in goals and objectives, expansion of service programs, enhancement of library functions. 3. Library automation : introduction and development of many library automation projects. 4. Introduction of information technology : development and distribution of computer and related software, telecommunication, and new media. 5. Changes in user needs : many-sided demands for collections, spaces, and services. 6. Many other environmental factors related to library organization.

This study has been aimed to analyze the following three points which are believed to be the most important in establishing efficient library networks. The writers have done the research into the literature and references concerning the networks of library, as they are considered crucial functions in cooperative administration between the libraries. The following are the findings from the survey: 1) The established networks in foreign countries have been compared with those of Korea, basing upon the data and present situations in both areas and the definition and agreed viewpoint of the networks are presented. 2) The relations between the existing Library system and Consortia were clarified in view of the current trend, thus showing the scope and integral aspects of them. 3) Finally, we have classified the types of network into four categories, such as search service network, customized service network, service center/network and state local networks, and made through analysis of the character, organization and management of each realm.

A large portion of the embedded system development process involves the integration of hardware and software. Unfortunately, communication across the hardware/software boundary is tedious and error-prone to create. This paper presents an automatic hardware/software interface generation system. As the front-end of hardware/software co-design frameworks, a system designer defines XML specifications for hardware functions. Our system generates hardware/software interfaces including Device Driver, Driver API, and Device Controller from these specifications. Embedded software designers can easily use hardware just like system libraries. Our system reduces the mistakes and errors that can be occurred when a software programmer directly connects software to hardware, and supports balancing labors between hardware developers and software programmers. Moreover, this system can be used as the back-end for a hardware/software co-design framework.

Functions of metadata, semantic and syntatic schemas, metadata service such as registries, repositories, the optimal metadata retrieval, and several considerations of implementation of digital libraries were the research scopes of this investigation. R&D outcomes of metadata subjects in the domestic community for the past 10 years were searched and analyzed. It illustrated the major results, distinctive trends as well as some insufficient aspects to satisfy the researchers and operators of metadata system development.

Efficient use of scientific and technical information is indispensable for research and development. This study is aimed at new system design of Agricultural Information for RDA Library operation by an expeditious system for appropriate support of research activities through information service. Current Library management factors such as organization, budget, collections, staff. space, and information service was surveyed and user's requirements was also evaluated. In order of optimize the information system performance the new designed system was suggested as follows : 1) Existing dispersed library functions have to be unified as a whole 2) Library could be reorganize as a independent unit 3) Construction of inter-library network between libraries engaged in the same field highly recommand for the exchange of information.

OPC is the preferred communication standard for sharing process control data at all levels of the enterprise and becomes the global standard, sends/receives the data with PLC programs of inspection system via network, and manages various data using OPC server. In this paper, we introduce the developed OPC client system for FPD inspection system with OPC server. To control inspection system through OPC server, we have developed libraries which consist of stage driver, switch driver, microscope driver, image processing, alignment, and task management modules. Also we have developed the test program to verify all functions precisely. We describe the mechanism of inspection system, OPC connection method, and programs.

This study intends to develop a model of nation-wide library cooperative system for Korea. It analyzes and investigates the definitions, types and models of library cooperation; and current status and problems in operations of major cooperative systems in Korea and other nations. There are some cooperative systems such as cooperative system for public libraries operated by the National Library of Korea and other systems based on their regions or library types in Korea. New model of nationwide cooperative system can improve library functions through many cooperative plans.

Embedded linux system cann't take up the X-window-based GUI platform commonly used in PC platforms because of low performance in hardware. For the GUI implementation in embedded linux system, the lightwieight graphic library is needed, which supports simplified functions and the usage of little resource. In this paper, several of popular open-source graphic libraries are selected and evaluated for the adoption of an efficient library in the GUI implementation for multimedia embedded system requiring the simple and intuitional user interface.
