  • This study aimed to analyze the functionality and healthiness of family rules through a relational analysis of the relationship between the rule frequency by sub-family system and the content properties shown in the 'family constitution', It also aimed to examine the relationship between the perception degree of healthy family elements and the family subsystem rules and prepare the project development plans. As a result, it was a found that there were many dysfunctional rules, and healthiness was not satisfied. Project development plans include specific project plans, delivery systems, an orientation for practitioners, the necessity of evaluation and feedback, family health diagnosis, association with other project areas, and small scale operations.

  • Recently the building material have been developed with the concept of controlling the indoor environment as well as the concept of emitting contaminants less. So, a lot of products with humidity control characteristics put it on the market. However, objective evaluation to these products doesn't work out. Thus consumers cannot obtain accurate information to these products. Therefore, we selected inorganic paint in the functionality materials and evaluated its humidity control characteristic in this research. We divided by four stages and evaluated this inorganic paint. The 1st and 2nd third experiments were executed on a natural condition and the fourth experiment was executed with humidity had been raised by using the humidifier.

  • To maintain effectively the functionality of major railroad facilities such as bridges, identifying and evaluating damage in a structure and taking appropriate action via continuous structural health monitoring are very important. However, most damage identification methods for structural health monitoring developed to date utilize modal domain responses which inevitably contain errors in transforming the domain of responses. In this paper, a damage identification method using time-domain operational deflection shapes is proposed. Since the proposed method utilizes time-domain responses, the error in the process of transformation to response domain can be avoided, and the accuracy of structural health evaluation can be improved. The feasibility of the proposed method is verified via a numerical example of a simple bridge structure.

  • This study was conducted to promote the utilization of fish paste containing loquat leaf powder (LLP). The tested concentrations of LLP were 0, 3, 5 and 7%. The pH of samples ranged from 6.75 to 6.89, and moisture content ranged from 75.23 to 76.95%. The L values of samples decreased as the concentrations of LLP decreased, and a and b values increased. In the folding test, all test samples with AA showed good flexibility. In the texture meter test, hardness, strength, springiness, gumminess and chewiness increased according to increasing concentrations of LLP. In the sensory evaluation, fish paste prepared with 5% LLP was preferred over other fish pastes. These results suggest that LLP can be applied to fish paste for the purpose of high quality and functionality.

  • In present work an attempt was made to synthesize various analogues of levofloxacin by introducing new functionality at carboxylic group position via nucleophilic substitution reaction. For this purpose the carboxylic group at C-6 was esterified and later subjected to nucleophilic attack at the carbonyl carbon by various aromatic amines. Structure of the analogues was confirmed by different techniques i.e. IR, $^1H$ NMR and mass spectrometry. The antibacterial activity of the derivatives was also assessed and compared with the parent against a series of Gram-positive and Gramnegative bacteria. A synergistic as well as antagonistic behavior was observed in these derivatives. Additionally unlike levofloxacin, the derivatives were also found to modulate oxidative burst response of phagocytes exhibiting moderate to significant inhibitory activity.

  • The paper empirically examines relationships among information infrastructure, competitive advantage of information technology, and corporate performance of small and medium manufacturing firms. Effects of competitive advantage of information technology on the linkage between information infrastructure and corporate performance are investigated. The fact that SME's (Small and Mediem-sized Enterprises) are having difficulties in building their own information infrastructure due to the limitation of capital investment, technology, and manpower is the main motive for the study. Research results confirm that information technology provides several traits of strategic advantages such as efficiency, threat, functionality, preemptiveness, and synergy and significantly contributes to corporate performance. But linkage between information infrastructure and competitive advantage of information technology is proved to be weak and this result suggests that systematic and effective information strategy or planning is required to deliver expected advantages of information technology from information infrastructure investments. Also control effect of competitive advantage of information technology on information infrastructure-corporate performance linkage is not strongly recognized.

  • Today, manufacturing capability at the micro or nano scale production field is requested strongly in view of parts and product miniaturization. Miniaturized parts and products will introduce lots of benefits in terms of high precision functionality and low energy consumption. This paper presents the results of micro milling machine tool development for micro machining process. Finite element analysis has been performed to know the relationship between design dimensional variables and structural stiffness in terms of static, dynamic, thermal aspects. Performance evaluation through machining has been tested and discussed for achievable machining characteristics.

  • This paper describes the results of structural analysis and loading test of a bogie frame. The purpose of the analysis and test is to evaluate the safety and functionality of the bogie frame under maximum load. The bogie system consist of the bogie frame, suspensions, wheel-sets, a brake system and a transmission system. Of these components, the bogie frame is the major components subjected to the vehicle and passenger loads. The evaluation method used the JIS E 4207 specifications throughout the FEM analysis and static load test. The test results have shown the bogie frame to be safe and stable under design load conditions.

  • As the price of image acquisition component becomes low enough, the compact and easily accessible handheld devices are generally equipped with image acquisition functionality. This trend speeds up various applications in diverse areas such as image related services and software. Therefore users strongly need to identify their images effectively and efficiently so that the duplicated images are perceived as one physical entity. In order to handle this environment, we propose a number of methods that generate image identifiers utilizing fundamental image features. In this paper, we analyze the identifier generation methods in terms of various size patterns, especially for tiny size cases, since the small images does not contain abundant pixels for feature extraction. In this paper, experimental evaluation over identifier generation methods' behavior according to different sizes is demonstrated.
