사용 사례 모델링을 위한 시나리오 기반의 목적 지향 접근법에 관한 연구 (Scenario-based Goal-oriented Approach for Use Case Modeling)

  • Use case modeling on UML (Unified Modeling Language) is getting widely used in OOAD and CBD and it is considered a useful technique in dealing with the complexity of the requirements analysis. However, some of the problems with use case modeling are that it is not structured, difficult to handle non-functional requirements, and to analyze impacts among use cases. To alleviate these problems, we propose a scenario-based goal-oriented approach for use case modeling. The proposed approach is to apply a goal-oriented analysis method to use case modeling. Since goal-oriented analysis method is not systematic and many heuristics are involved, we have adopted scenarios as the basis for goal extraction. The proposed method is applied to CBIS (City Bus Information Subsystem) in ITS (Intelligent Transportation System) domain. The proposed approach helps software engineers to analyze the impact among use cases and represent non-functional requirements.

  • Functional Modeling methodology, IDEF0 is widely used for modeling, analysis and description of enterprise system. The limitation of modeling components restricts applicability and give rise to confusion about model. In this paper, we propose new method to extend IDEF0. The first is adding modeling components which are semantic representations. In addition to ICOMs, we add the time and cost component which is required to execute the function. The second is tracing mechanism. When we need some information, we drive the functions related with the information by reverse tracing of the function which produces the information as a output and input. Through the tracing, we find out the bottleneck process or high cost process. Finally, we suggest the final decomposition level. We call the final decomposed function into unit function which has only one output data. We can combine and reconstruct some of functions because an unit function is similar to ‘lego block’. To reach the integrated system, the main problem to be solved is the integration of information produced by different functional subsystem. This can be resolved when the creation of data must be dependent on only one function. Through view integration of function output, we can guarantee the integrity of data.

  • The major objective of this paper is to perform modeling of cyber attack and defense using vulnerability metrics. To do this, we have attempted command level modeling for realizing an approach of functional level proposed by Nong Ye, and we have defined vulnerability metrics that are able to apply to DEVS(Discrete Event System Specification) and performed modeling of cyber attack and defense using this. Our approach is to show the difference from others in that (i) it is able to analyze behaviors of systems being emerged by interaction between functional elements of network components, (ii) it is able to analyze vulnerability in quantitative manner, and (iii) it is able to establish defense suitably by using the analyzed vulnerability. We examine an example of vulnerability analysis on the cyber attack and defense through case study.

Modeling of a Functional Surface using a Modified B-spline

  • This research presents modeling of a functional surface that is constructed with a free-formed surface. The modeling of functional surfaces, being introduced in this paper, adopts a modified B-spline that utilizes an approximating technique. The modified B-Spline is constructed with altered control vertices. It is applied to measure the surface of an impeller blade. This research builds an algorithm accepting inputs of measured points. Generating the cutter-paths for NC machining employs the model of the constructed surfaces. The machined surfaces that are generated in several cases are compared with each other in the aspect of machining accuracy.

  • Although both functional verification and performance evaluation are necessary for the development of effective and reliable communication systems, they have been often performed independently; by functional modeling with formal language tools and by performance modeling with professional network performance evaluation tools, respectively. Separate and repeated modeling of one system, however, would often result in cost increase and inconsistency between the models. This paper proposes an integrated model design approach in order to overcome this problem that evaluates the performance of a communication protocol designed in SDL with SDL-OPNET model conversion. The proposed technique generates OPNET skeleton code from Tau-generated C code of the SDL model by analyzing the relations between SDL and OPNET models. IEEE 802.2 LLC protocol was used as an example of model conversion to show the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed technique.

에너지 관리 시스템의 기능 요구사항 분석 (Functional Requirements Analysis of Energy Management System)

  • 본 연구에서는 에너지 관리 시스템의 기능 요건을 정립하기 위한 하향식 기능 분석 절차를 제안하고 바람직한 기능 요구사항들을 도출하였다. 하향식 기능 분석을 위해 벤치마킹 대상인 에너지관리 시스템 제품들이 제공하는 공통된 기능들을 추출하고 이들을 기능 그룹 단위로 집합하여 7개의 서브시스템으로 분화하고 각 서브시스템 내에서 제공해야 할 기능들을 분류하여 비교용 템플리트를 만들었다. 벤치마킹은 이 비교용 템플리트에 의거하여 각 상용 제품에서 제공하는 기능들을 분류하여 기능 제공 유무를 기입하는 방법으로 수행되었다. 벤치마킹의 결과로 에너지 관리 시스템이 갖추어야 할 바람직한 기능들을 추출하여 이를 상세하게 설명하였다. 이 연구의 결과는 에너지관리 시스템을 개발하거나 도입하려는 관련자들에게 에너지 관리 시스템이 갖추어야 할 필요 기능에 관한 유용한 정보를 제공한다.

  • 요구사항은 아키텍처를 생성할 때 매우 중요한 요소로써 기능 요구사항과 품질 요구사항으로 구분된다. 기능 요구사항은 하위시스템 또는 컴포넌트 생성에 영향을 미치고 품질 요구사항은 아키텍처의 구조를 결정하는데 영향을 준다. 이와 같이 요구 사항은 아키텍처 설계에 중요한 영향을 끼치기 때문에 아키텍처 설계를 위해서는 요구사항에 대한 명확한 이해가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 요구사항에 대한 명확한 이해를 돕기 위해 요구사항을 정량화하는 방법을 제안한다. 기능 요구사항은 기능적인 우선순위 계산을 통해 컴포넌트를 정량화하고 품질 요구사항은 정량화된 컴포넌트와 품질 속성의 연관성 계산을 통해 정량화한다. 제안된 방법은 DRAMA (Domain Requirements Analysis for Modeling Architectures) 도구를 통해 구현되었으며, 요구사항의 정량화 방법을 실 예제에 적용해본 결과를 소개한다.

건축에서 공간형상의 체계적 구성논리를 적용한 모델화에 관한 연구 (A Study on Model applied to Logic of Systematic Composition on the Space and Shape in Architecture)

  • This study aims at modeling the compositional method in the architectural space and shape. The composition of space is composed of the position and the area in space. Therefore these elements are established to the functional program applied at the behavioral data. The element of spatial structure is position and scale in space, and the composition of spatial shape is developed repitionally to the combination of build-up method. The functional program is being expertised and the scale in building being lager, the importance of functional program is increased. Applied at data of the functional program at spatial structure, the process is developed to the method of combination. The purpose of this study is approached at the degree of application in modeling on the compositional method in architectural space and shape, which is a fundamental aspect on the quantitative analysis of architectural space.

  • When function modeling with IDEF0 which is called as a standard methodology for CALS (FIPS 183), the initial work is to determine the purpose and viewpoint, and the next work is to generate a data list and an activity list. This work requires participant's discussion and agreements. The main problems for these working are a communication between participants and efficient discussion processing. Brainstorming is the most useful method for this work. The paper is for development for the modeling assistant tool to promote the business modeling. In this paper, we will introduce the tool which name is 'MindMapper' and 'Dyna-IDEF'. Mind-mapper is software for mind-map method that is used for creative thinking. Using this tool, we refine the result of the brainstorming about activity list and translate the result into the functional model of IDEF0 using Dyna-IDEF. The translated functional model is prototype model without ICOM arrows.
