  • Solar electric systems have very little impact on environment, making them one of the cleanest power-generating technologies available. While they are operating, PV systems produce no air pollution, hazardous waste, or noise, and they require no transportable fuels. In PV system design, the selection and proper installation of appropriately-sized components directly affect system reliability, lifetime, and initial cost. In this research, we have studied the PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) signals. I proposed an efficient photovoltaic power interface circuit incorporated with a DC-DC converter and a sine-pwm control method full-bridge inverter. In grid-connected solar power systems, the DC-DC converter operates at high switching frequency to make the output current a sine wave, whereas the full-bridge inverter operates at low switching frequency which is determined by the ac frequency. Thus, it can reduce the switching losses incurred by the full-bridge inverter. Full-bridge converter is controlled by using microprocessor control method, and its operation is verified through computer aided simulations.

  • Pulse-width modulated (PWM) full-bridge boost converters are used in applications where the output voltage is considerably higher than the input voltage. Zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) is typically implemented in these converters. A new ZVS-PWM full-bridge converter is proposed in this paper. The proposed converter does not have any of the disadvantages associated with other converters of this type, including a complicated auxiliary circuit, increased current stresses in the main power switches, and load-dependent ZVS operation. The operation of the proposed converter, its steady-state characteristics, and its design are explained and examined. The feasibility of the converter is confirmed with results obtained from an experimental prototype.

  • This paper presents a simple high efficiency full-bridge DC-DC converter using a series resonant capacitor. The proposed converter achieves the zero voltage switching of the primary switches under a wide range of load conditions and reduces the high circulating current in the freewheeling mode using the leakage resonant inductance and the series resonant capacitor. Thus, the proposed converter overcomes the drawbacks of the conventional full-bridge DC-DC converter and improves its overall system efficiency. Its structure is simplified by using the leakage inductance of the transformer as the resonant inductance and omitting the DC output filter inductance. Also it can operate over a wide range of input voltages. In this paper, the operational principle, analysis and design example are described in detail. Finally, the experimental results from a 650W (24V/27A) prototype are demonstrated to confirm the operation, validity and features of the proposed converter.

  • This paper presents an analysis of the mechanism of failure modes in bi-directional phase-shift full-bridge converters, composed of MOSFET, based on the circuit operation and parasitic parameters of MOSFET. In addition, the relation between circuit operation and parameters is suggested through an experimental comparison. From this relation, the suitable ranges of parameters for stable performance are analyzed. The design criteria of the bi-directional phase-shift full-bridge converter are presented and evaluated from the experimental verification.

  • This paper proposes new single stage power factor correction (PFC) full bridge converter. The proposed converter is combined previous ZVS full bridge DC/DC converter with two inductors, two diodes, two magnetic coupling transformer for PFC. This process of power is isolated from the source and also regulate stable DC output voltage in a category. In this topology, the voltage stress of main switches is reduced by zero voltage switching. Moreover, the proposed converter doesn't need active PFC switch and auxiliarly circuits, like control and gating board, so it could decrease the size and cost and increase the efficiency.

  • A new soft switching single stage AC-DC full bridge boost converter with unit input power factor and isolated output is presented in this paper. Due to the use of a non-dissipative snubber on the primary side, a single stage high-power factor isolated full bridge boost converter has a significant reduction of switching losses in the main switching devices. The non-dissipative snubber adopted in this study consists of a snubber capacitor Cr, a snubber inductor Lr, a fast recovery snubber diode Dr, and a commutation diode Dr, and a commutation diode Dp. This paper presents the complete operating principles, theoretical analysis and experimental results.

  • A high-efficiency full-bridge DC-DC converter with a current-doubler rectifier and an asymmetric pulse-width modulation is proposed. Through the asymmetric pulse-width modulation, the proposed converter achieves zero-voltage switching of power switches without the circulating currents. The proposed converter reduces the output current ripple through the current-doubler rectifier. A control strategy is suggested for the proposed converter to charge battery banks. A constant current and constant voltage charging is performed. The proposed converter achieved a higher efficiency compared with the conventional full-bridge DC-DC converter with a phase-shift modulation. The performance of the proposed converter is evaluated by the experimental results for a 1.0 kW prototype circuit.

  • This paper presents parallel operation of ZVT(Zero Voltage Transition) FUll Bridge Converter with Dynamic Current Shared Inductor. In the conventional method, CT(Current Transformer) have been used tn share the load current equally with converters. In this system, at parallel operation of ZVT Full Bridge Converter, dynamic current shared inductor divides the same current of unit converter and ZVT circuit aids to high efficiency. Superiority of the characteristics is verified through the experiment with a 2[㎾], 50[㎑] prototype converter.

  • FPS(Filament Power Supply), one of the KSTAR NBI (Neutral Beam Injections) is implemented by full-bridge DC/DC converter. NBI heating device for KSTAR(1.5MW) is developed for heating an ion source of plasma in KSTAR tokmak. The full-bridge DC/DC converter is applied to FPS for isolation with input and output. And FPS is operated with PWM control method which is the most usual method. In this paper, NBI FPS of 4.8kW is simulated by using the PSIM 6.0. And the full-bridge DC/DC converter using IGBTs is fabricated to demonstrate it. The processor DSP 28335 is implemented for digital control.
