PC를 이용한 선박조종연습 DESKTOP Simulator개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of PC-based DestTop Ship Maneuvering Simulator for trainning purpose)

  • Most of the ShipHandling Simulators of full-mission-bridge system need vast area to install and even PC-based maneuvering simulators are often equipped with Steering Wheel or Engine Telegraphe etc. of data input interface, which necessarily makes the user face with excessive financial burden. These have been one of the obstacles for the officers, captains, pilots and students in access to maneuvering simulation whenever they want to try it in advance prior to actual ship maneuvering. Subsequently, all the officers and captains come to have little chances to train themselves until they arualified as a pilot after a long period of time of realship maneuvering practice on board, which means they have to control they have to control their own ship at sea without clear understanding on her maneuverability when they are forced to do it on the way. And these lack of capability for maneuvering have used so often to result in marine casualties of collision with other ships or pier facilities while maneuvering in harbor. To prevent those accidents by means of enhancing their maneuvering ability, PC-based DeskTop Simulator that allows anyong to access readily at anytime is needed and in conformation to such demand this simulator has been developed. The Software this simulator written in Turbo Pascal Ver. 5.0 has adopted MMG mathmatical model theoretically in part and also it was designed to make it possible that all numeric data inputs and outputs with graphic presentation for maneuvering operation be carried out just only with keyboard and monitor console. With the Simulation software, all the officers, captains, pilots and even students who has a proper computer at hand are expected to be able to make an attempt to simulate the maneuvering of their ownship or any other types of them at any port in which they want to do it.

최적설계에 의한 PSC 박스 거더교의 변단면 거더유형과 긴장재 배치에 관한 연구 (Research on Variable Girder Types and Tendon Arrangement of PSC Box Girder Bridges by using the Optimum Design)

  • 본 연구는 FSM 공법의 PSC 박스 거더교를 최소경비로 자동 설계하는 최적설계 프로그램을 이용하여 다양한 변단면 거더유형을 가진 등경간 및 부등경간 거더교에 대하여 최적설계를 수행하였다. 또한 각 변단면 거더유형에서 산출된 최적의 긴장재 배치에 관하여 연구함으로서 향후 복잡한 구조물에 대하여 더욱 적절한 긴장재의 배치형태에 대한 방향을 제시하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 사용된 최적설계 프로그램은 축차 무제약 최소화 기법을 이용하였고, 설계과정에서 설계점들이 설계가능 영역밖에 있는 것을 허용할 수 있도록 Kavlie가 제안한 확장 벌칙함수를 도입하였다. 또한 설계점들의 탐사 방법은 Powell's direct search method를 사용하며, 설계시간을 단축시키기 위해 설계점 변화에 따른 단면력 변화를 Gradient를 이용하여 근사화 시키는 방법을 사용하였다.

Modeling of the friction in the tool-workpiece system in diamond burnishing process

  • The article presents a theoretical-experimental approach developed for modeling the coefficient of sliding friction in the dynamic system tool-workpiece in slide diamond burnishing of low-alloy unhardened steels. The experimental setup, implemented on conventional lathe, includes a specially designed device, with a straight cantilever beam as body. The beam is simultaneously loaded by bending (from transverse slide friction force) and compression (from longitudinal burnishing force), which is a reason for geometrical nonlinearity. A method, based on the idea of separation of the variables (time and metric) before establishing the differential equation of motion, has been applied for dynamic modeling of the beam elastic curve. Between the longitudinal (burnishing force) and transverse (slide friction force) forces exists a correlation defined by Coulomb's law of sliding friction. On this basis, an analytical relationship between the beam deflection and the sought friction coefficient has been obtained. In order to measure the deflection of the beam, strain gauges connected in a "full bridge" type of circuit are used. A flexible adhesive is selected, which provides an opportunity for dynamic measurements through the constructed measuring system. The signal is proportional to the beam deflection and is fed to the analog input of USB DAQ board, from where the signal enters in a purposely created virtual instrument which is developed by means of Labview. The basic characteristic of the virtual instrument is the ability to record and visualize in a real time the measured deflection. The signal sampling frequency is chosen in accordance with Nyquist-Shannon sampling theorem. In order to obtain a regression model of the friction coefficient with the participation of the diamond burnishing process parameters, an experimental design with 55 experimental points is synthesized. A regression analysis and analysis of variance have been carried out. The influence of the factors on the friction coefficient is established using sections of the hyper-surface of the friction coefficient model with the hyper-planes.

GaN HEMT를 적용한 3kW급 계통연계 태양광 인버터의 방열 설계 및 개발 (Development of a 3 kW Grid-tied PV Inverter With GaN HEMT Considering Thermal Considerations)

  • A 3 kW grid-tied PV inverter with Gallium nitride high-electron mobility transistor (GaN HEMT) for domestic commercialization was developed using boost converter and full-bridge inverter with LCL filter topology. Recently, many GaN HEMTs are manufactured as surface mount packages because of their lower parasitic inductance characteristic than standard TO (transistor outline) packages. A surface mount packaged GaN HEMT releases heat through either top or bottom cooling method. IGOT60R070D1 is selected as a key power semiconductor because it has a top cooling method and fairly low thermal resistances from junction to ambient. Its characteristics allow the design of a 3 kW inverter without forced convection, thereby providing great advantages in terms of easy maintenance and high reliability. 1EDF5673K is selected as a gate driver because its driving current and negative voltage output characteristics are highly optimized for IGOT60R070D1. An LCL filter with passive damping resistor is applied to attenuate the switching frequency harmonics to the grid-tied operation. The designed LCL filter parameters are validated with PSIM simulation. A prototype of 3 kW PV inverter with GaN HEMT is constructed to verify the performance of the power conversion system. It achieved high power density of 614 W/L and peak power efficiency of 99% for the boost converter and inverter.

고효율 고역률 LED 조명장치용 전원공급장치 (High Efficiency and High Power-Factor Power Supply for LED Lighting Equipment)

  • 본 논문에서는 고효율 고역률 LED 조명장치용 전원공급장치를 제안한다. 제안한 전원공급장치는 풀브리지 다이오드 정류기와 플라이백 컨버터로 구성된 단일단 전력구조이며, 이에 따라 하나의 제어기 IC와 하나의 전력반도체스위치만을 사용하여 역률개선과 출력전압조정을 동시에 수행한다. 또한 제안한 전원공급장치는 회생스너버를 이용하여 주스위치의 전압스트레스와 스위칭손실을 감소시키며, 동기정류기를 이용하여 시스템 효율을 향상한다. 적용된 동기정류기는 새로운 전압구동형이며 동작과 구성이 간단하다. 본 논문에서는 역률개선부와 주전력변환부의 동작분석을 통하여 제안한 전원공급장치의 동작원리를 설명하고 동기정류기의 동작에 관하여 간략하게 설명한다. 또한 40W급 프로토타입 전력회로의 설계예시를 제시하며, 설계된 회로파라미터들에 의해 제작된 프로토타입의 실험 결과를 통하여 제안한 전원공급장치의 동작특성을 입증한다.

풍량 및 운전시간 제어 방폭 배풍기 인버터 단자함 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the development of Explosion-proof type's the terminal box of the ventilator with the control of wind volume and operating time)

  • 본 논문은 풍량 및 운전시간을 제어할 수 있는 방폭 타입 배풍기의 인버터 단자함 연구에 관한 것이다. 국내에서는 열악한 환경에서 작업 시에 풍량 및 운전 시간을 조정할 수 있는 배풍기가 없는 실정이다. 유해가스 및 폭발 위험성이 있는 환경에 적정한 방폭 배풍기의 운전 시간과 풍량을 제어할 수 있는 방폭 단자함을 제작하는 것이 목적이다. 2개의 방폭형 스위치를 사용하여 운전시간을 1 시간, 3 시간, 그리고 연속 시간으로 운전할 수 있도록 하였고, 유도전동기 회전 속도는 2000rpm, 2600rpm, 그리고 3000rpm으로 3 단계로 설정하여 풍량 제어하였다. 실험한 모터는 1/2 마력 3상 유도전동기 사용하였으며 풀 브리지 인버터를 제작하여 원하는 풍량과 운전시간 설정할 수 있도록 연구하였다.

CNN based data anomaly detection using multi-channel imagery for structural health monitoring

  • Data-driven structural health monitoring (SHM) of civil infrastructure can be used to continuously assess the state of a structure, allowing preemptive safety measures to be carried out. Long-term monitoring of large-scale civil infrastructure often involves data-collection using a network of numerous sensors of various types. Malfunctioning sensors in the network are common, which can disrupt the condition assessment and even lead to false-negative indications of damage. The overwhelming size of the data collected renders manual approaches to ensure data quality intractable. The task of detecting and classifying an anomaly in the raw data is non-trivial. We propose an approach to automate this task, improving upon the previously developed technique of image-based pre-processing on one-dimensional (1D) data by enriching the features of the neural network input data with multiple channels. In particular, feature engineering is employed to convert the measured time histories into a 3-channel image comprised of (i) the time history, (ii) the spectrogram, and (iii) the probability density function representation of the signal. To demonstrate this approach, a CNN model is designed and trained on a dataset consisting of acceleration records of sensors installed on a long-span bridge, with the goal of fault detection and classification. The effect of imbalance in anomaly patterns observed is studied to better account for unseen test cases. The proposed framework achieves high overall accuracy and recall even when tested on an unseen dataset that is much larger than the samples used for training, offering a viable solution for implementation on full-scale structures where limited labeled-training data is available.

MEASUREMENT OF FIELD PERFORMANCE FOR TRACTOR

  • This study was performed to develop a measurement system of tractor field performance for plow and rotary operations. Measurement system for tractor consisted of torque sensors to measure torque of drive axles and PTO axle, speed sensors to measure rotational speed of drive axles and engine, microcomputer to control data logger, and data logger as I/O interface system. The measurement system was installed on four-wheel-drive tractor. Four-element full-bridge type strain gages were used for torque measurement of drive axles and optical encoders were used to measure speeds of drive axles and engine. Slip rings were mounted on the rotational axles. Signals from sensors were inputted to data logger that was controlled by microcomputer with parallel communication. Sensors were calibrated before the field tests. Regression equations were found on completion of the calibrations. The field experiment was performed at paddy fields and uplands. Rotary and plow were used when the tractor was operated in the field. Travelling speeds of the tractor were 1.9 km/h, 2.7 km/h, 3.7 km/h, 5.5 km/h, 8.2 km/h, and 11.8 km/h. Operating depths of implements were maintained approximately 20cm during the tests. Torque data of drive axles were different at each location during plow and rotary operations. Results showed that torque of rear axles were greater than those of front axles. Total torque were 6860 - 11064 Nm at the upland and 7360 - 14190 Nm at the paddy field for plow operations. It was found that torque at the paddy field were about 20% greater than those at the upland for plow operations. Torque data showed that rotary operations required less power than plow operation at the paddy field and the upland. Torque measurements at each axle for rotary operations were only 8 - 16% of plow operations in the upland and 15 - 20% in the paddy field.

'알라딘' 애니메이션에서 비주얼 스토리텔링과 오리지널 사운드 트랙 융합 분석 (Integrated Analysis of Visual Story Telling and Original Sound Track of 'Alladin' Animation)

  • 본 연구는 애니메이션 '알라딘' 'A Whole New World'의 OST와 VST의 융합분석을 수행한 것이다. OST는 도입단계, 경과단계, 클라이막스단계, 엔딩단계의 4단계로 분류되고 각 단계마다 OST와 VST의 특징이 발견되었다. 특히, 클라이막스단계에서는 OST요소(사운드, 조성, 템포, 주요 음역, 셈여림, 악기편성)와 VST요소(영상구도, 카메라 샷, 카메라 움직임)의 높은 다이나믹 특성이 발견되었다. FS는 47.9% 사용되었는데, 이는 사랑의 완성단계에 두 캐릭터가 하나가 되는 것을 보여 주는데 도움을 준다. 이것은 이전 연구인 '미녀와 야수' OST의 공통점이기도 하다. '미녀와 야수'에서는 악기가 캐릭터와 매칭되고 '알라딘'에서는 화면 내 물체의 고저위치와 상승하강에 악기를 매칭하는 특징을 가진다.

보수성을 개선한 복합형 신축이음장치(HRS) 내구성 평가 (Durability Evaluation of Hybrid Expansion Joint System with Improved Replacement)

  • 기존 신축이음장치 교체 시간을 절감하고, 차선별 부분교체가 가능하도록 보수성을 개선한 신축이음장치 시스템(HRS)에 대하여 실물규모의 수직하중 피로시험과 윤하중 성능실험을 수행하여 내구성을 평가하였다. 수직하중 피로시험결과 레일형 신축이음장치의 최대응력은 170 Mpa이며, 이는 HRS 신축이음장치레일의 항복강도 355MPa의 약 47.8% 수준이다. 보수성을 개선한 HRS 신축이음장치의 수직하중 피로시험은 도로교설계기준에 따라 재하판의 크기와 하중을 설정하였고, 200만회 수직하중 피로시험과 윤하중 성능실험에 있어서 파괴거동을 나타내지 않았으며 그 내구성과 안전성을 확인하였다.
