치어 주문모형에 관한 연구 (Ordering Model of Fingerlings in Aquaculture Farm)

  • Fish mortality is the most important success factor in aquaculture management. To order fingerlings considering the effect of mortality is a important problem in aquaculture farm. This study is aimed to decision the number and size of fry in aquaculture farm. This study build the mathematical model that finds the value of decision variable to minimize total cost that sums up the fingerling purchasing cost, aquaculture farm operating cost and feeding cost under mortality constraint. The proposed mathematical model involve biological and economical variables: (1) number of fingerlings (2) fish growth rate (3) mortality (4) price of a fry (5) feeding cost, and (6) possible order period. Numerical simulation model presented here in. The objective of numerical simulation is to provide for decision makers to analyse and comprehend the proposed model. When extensive biological and cost data become available, the proposed model can be widely applied to yield more accurate results.

Pathogenicity of viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) isolated from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus to masu salmon Oncorhynchus masou

  • The pathogenicity of viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus was investigated with masu salmon Oncorhynchus masou fry. The cumulative mortality of fish challenged with FYeosu05 isolate at $10^{6.5}$ $TCID_{50}$/fish was 60%. No mortality was observed in fish challenged with the isolates at $10^{5.5}$ $TCID_{50}$/fish and in mock-challenged fish. The affected fish showed darkening of the body, expanded abdomen, pale gills and enlarged spleen. VHSV from $10^{6.3}$ to $10^{7.8}$ $TCID_{50}$/g-tissue was re-isolated from the dead fish. These results suggest that the VHSV from olive flounder is pathogenic to masu salmon fry, although with low virulence.

Rib-eye의 조리기구 및 조리방법에 따른 물성 연구 (A Study on Rheology of the Rib-eye Cooked by Cooking Method and Cooking Utensil)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the physico-chemical properties during the rib-eye preperation while cooked rib-eye and fine sensory evaluation by various cooked utensil (oven, fry-pan and microwave). 1) Change of moisture contents of sauce-pan boiling cooker was lower than boiling by preasure cooker and fat content of sauce-pan boiling was higher than preasure cooker boiling. 2) Degree of cholesterol of cooker meat was not change for content of cholesterol during the boiling preperation but progressively decreased in order of well-done steak < medium steak < rare steak measured by cholesterol analysis. 3) Sensory evaluation conducted by fine graduate as panelists showed that oven steak and fry-pan steak had higher score of sensory evaluation. While microwave steak had the lowest score all sensory profile score.

  • 1989년, 1990년 12월 강원도 양양군 남대천에서 체포한 연어로부터 수정난을 받아 양양내수면연구소와 한국해양연구소 부화, 사육실에서 사육한 연어의 골격 발달과정을 조사하였다. 1. 부화직후 전장 1.95~2.13cm의 자어는 두부에 부설골, 주상악골, 치골, 주새개골의 일부가 골화되어 있다. 2. 자어의 골격중 섭이활동, 호흡에 관련된 턱, 아가미 등 내장골이 먼저 골화하며 대부분의 골격은 3~4cm에서 골화가 완료된다. 3. 턱니, 인두치, 서골치, 구개골위의 이빨은 전장 3~4cm에서 급격히 증가한다. 4. 꼬리지느러미는 부화직후 개체에 이미 17개의 줄기가 골화되어 있으며 지느러미 중에서 가장 빨리 완성된다.

볶음 오크라 종자의 주요 기능성분 분석 (Analysis of Functional Components in Roasted Okra (Abelmoschus esculentus L. Moench) Seeds)

  • 본 연구는 오크라 종자를 볶았을 때의 기능성을 성분을 분석하여 용도 다양화를 위한 볶음차로의 이용 가능성을 검토하기 위하여 수행하였다. 꼬투리 당 오크라 종자의 수는 '그린소드' 품종이 78개, '베니' 품종이 88개 이었고, 과실 당 종자무게는 각각 4.4g과 6.3g이었다. 볶은 오크라 종자의 유리아미노산 함량은 $2.69mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$으로 생체종자의 $0.31mg{\cdot}g^{-1}$에 비해 8.7배나 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 총 페놀성 화합물 함량은 볶은 오크라 종자가 12.61mg CGA로 서 생체 상태보다 5배 높은 함량을 나타내었다. 오크라 종자의 항산화 활성은 DPPH 및 ABTS의 경우 볶은 오크라 종자가 생체 상태의 오크라 종자 보다 약 2배 이상 월등히 높게 나타내었다.

강도다리(Platichthys stellatus) 치어의 섭식, 성장 및 흑화 발현에 있어 온도와 밀도의 영향 (Influences of Temperature and Density on the Feeding Growth, and Blind-side Malpigmentation of Fry Starry Flounder Platichthys stellatus)

  • To examine the influences of water temperature and stocking density on feeding, growth and blind-side hypermelanosis of the starry flounder Platichthys stellatus, we performed an experiment with fry at two densities: 2 and 8 fish/L. The fry had a total length of $3.2{\pm}0.1cm$, body weight $0.6{\pm}0.1g$, and pigmented patches (pigmented ratio $2.6{\pm}0.4%$) on the blind side. Duplicate experiments were conducted in 93.7 L glass tanks for 120 days, from July to November. We determined daily food intake (DFI), food efficiency (FE), growth, survival rate, ratio of hypermelanic fish, and pigmented area rate on the blind side at 60-day intervals. The DFI was less than 50 mg/fish/day, and growth was delayed from July to September (water temperature [WT]> $20^{\circ}C$). After October, when WT < $20^{\circ}C$, the DFI increased significantly and the growth was accelerated, suggesting that the rearing temperature of starry flounder in artificial facilities should be < $20^{\circ}C$. While the FE, and survival did no differ between the two density groups, DFI and growth were significantly higher at 2 fish/L than at 8 fish/L. There was no difference in the pigmented area ratio between the two density groups. Although the hypermelanosis was not correlated with body size, the malpigmentation increased with growth. These results suggest that a high stocking density is not the main cause of blind-side hypermelanosis, although it can accelerate hypermelanosis in the starry flounder.

순환여과식 시스템에서 나일틸라피아의 종묘 생산성 향상을 위한 연구 (Improved Seed Production Method of Nile Tilapia in Closed Recirculation System)

  • 순환 여과 시스템에서 나일틸라피아의 종묘생산성을 향상시키기 위한 연구의 일환으로 암컷 친어의 크기, 친어 방양 관리 방법에 따른 생산성과 생산된 난의 인공부화 성공률을 조사하였다. 암컷 친어의 크기가 작고 (평균 어체중 : 340.0g) 방양 밀도가 낮을 때(1.2 kg m 상(-2))의 종묘 생산량이 크기가 크고 (평균 어체중: 611.5g) 방양 밀도가 높을 때 (2.1kg m 상(-2) 보다 유의하게 많은 것으로 조사되었다(P<0.05). 대량 종묘 생산에 있어서 구중 부화 중인 난과 난황 자어의 제거후 인공 부화를 통한 인공부화법 (clutch removal method)은 유영 자어의 수집에 의한 자연부화법 (natural mouthbrooding method)에 비해 총생산량, 단위 면적당 생산량, 암컷 마리당 생산량 및 암컷 단위 어체중당 생산량에서 유의하게 높은 것으로 조사되었다(P<0.05). 암컷 친어의 구강으로부터 제거한 알의 발생 단계별 인공 부화 실시 결과 55.7%-91.6%의 부화율을 보였다.

양식산 황복 (Takifugu obscurus) 치어의 군집 내 공식 및 성장에 있어 사육환경 인자별 영향 (Influence of Rearing Environmental Factors on Intra-cohort Cannibalism and Growth of Fry in Cultured Puffer Takifugu obscurus)

  • To investigate whether the rearing environmental factors (size heterogeneity, rearing density, and feeding frequency) affect the growth and cannibalism of fry in cultured puffer Takifugu obscurus, we conducted three experiments. To examine size effects, we used small (total length [TL] $26.0{\pm}0.5\;mm$, body weight [BW] $0.18{\pm}0.01\;g$), medium (TL $23.1{\pm}0.1\;mm$, BW $0.28{\pm}0.01\;g$), large (TL $26.0{\pm}0.2\;mm$, BW $0.48{\pm}0.01\;g$) and small-large size combination groups. For density, we used size-matched puffers (TL $25.0{\pm}0.5\;mm$, BW $0.53{\pm}0.03\;g$) and five density were examined ranging from 1.43 to 7.14 individuals/L. For the feeding frequency, we also used size-matched fry and feeding frequencies of three times/2 days, one time/day, two times/day, three times/day. We ran each experiment in triplicate and investigated the survival rate, daily food intake (DFI), feed efficiency (FE), and daily growth rate (DGR). The growth of the puffers increased with increasing size, density, and feeding frequency, while cannibalism increased with a greater size gap, density and lower feeding frequency. Therefore, we concluded that size, rearing density, and feeding frequency are major factors influencing growth and cannibalism of the puffer, T. obscurus.

Dietary inclusion of mealworm (Tenebrio molitor) meal as an alternative protein source in practical diets for rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fry

  • Background: An 8-week feeding trial was designed to evaluate the potential of yellow mealworm (MW; Tenebrio molitor) as a locally available nutrient-rich feedstuff for rainbow trout fry (Oncorhynchus mykiss). Methods: Triplicate groups of fish (mean ± SE; 1.11 ± 0.01 g) were assigned to each of the five isonitrogenous and isocaloric practical diets containing graded level of a full fat MW (0, 7, 14, 21, and 28%) at the expense of fish meal (designated as MW0, MW7, MW14, MW21, and MW28, respectively). Results: Fish growth performance in terms of weight gain and specific growth rate significantly increased with increasing dietary MW level up to 14% and then declined when dietary MW levels further increased to 28%. Significantly higher protein efficiency ratio and lower feed conversion ratio were found in fish fed with diets containing MW compared to fish fed the control MW0. Myeloperoxidase activity was significantly higher in fish fed MW7 diet compared to fish fed the MW0 diet. Fish fed the MW14 and MW28 diets had significantly higher lysozyme activities than those fed the MW0 diet. Conclusions: Overall, the efficacy of MW as promising alternative to fish meal in practical diets for rainbow trout fry has been proved not only in relation to growth rates and feed utilization, but also from the viewpoint of immunopotentiation effects.

내재적 유전자에 의한 어류난자에서의 hEGE 단백질 생산을 위한 기술개발 (Development of Transgenic Fish for the Production of Human EGF Protein)

  • 기존의 미세주입 및 정자 electroporation에 의한 보다 효율적인 유전자 도입방법을 개선하여 간단하고 고효율성의 유전자 변환기술을 위한 유전자 도입장치의 시제품 개발로 다수의 난자를 전기적으로 단순화할 수 있는 상업화의 가능성을 보여주었다. 도입된 유전자는 모든 초기배에서 발현됨을 보여 주었다. 특히 난황내의 합포체세포(syncytium)에서의 transient성의 강한 발현은 전기자극에 의해 많은 수의 난자에 유전자를 도입하고 100% 발현되는 체계를 이용하여 transient 시기에서 인간 유용단백질 생산의 가능성을 타진할 수 있는 결과를 보여 주었다. 어류유전자 발현의 작동되는가를 검색하기 위해 신경세로조직특이 tubulin promoter 를 이용한 결과 gfp의 발현이 뇌주변과 척추를 중심으로 체내 전반의 신경세포내에 발현이 강하게 나타남을 보여 주었다. 한편 reporter 유전자 이외에 간세포로부터 전체 RNA를 분리시켜 vitellogenin의 분해산물인 phosvitin cDNA의 길이와 promoter지역인 1.6 kb에 대한 primer쌍들을 선정한 상태에서 PCR에 의해 각각 cDNA와 gDNA로부터 cloning 중에 있으며 human factor Ⅶ과 epidermal growth factor, vitellogenin의 3종의 target 단백 질유전자를 구축 및 검정 화인 중에 있다.
