치위생과 학생의 구직효능감과 취업스트레스의 관련성 (Relationship between job searching efficacy and employment stress in the dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the relationship between job searching efficacy and employment stress in the dental hygiene students. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 235 dental hygiene students in Gyeongnam from September to October 30, 2015. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects (5 items), employment stress (22 items) and job searching self-efficacy (27 items). Data were analyzed by SPSS 20. program. Results: The lower grade students tended to have higher education service quality. Those who were dissatisfied with major had higher schoolwork stress. Poor economic status had a relation to family stress. The employment stress has an effect on job motivation, self-esteem, job skill, and human relation skill. Conclusions: It is necessary to reduce employment stress of the dental hygiene students. That should be provide support of education environment control, opportunity of self-development on improve the self esteem and human relation skill, from freshman to broaden understanding of the majors, for the employment stress coping skill.

일부 전남지역 대학생들의 알코올 음료 섭취 실태와 음료의 기호도 조사 (Survey of Alcoholic and Non-alcoholic Beverage Preference in College Students of the Chonnam Area)

  • This study investigated the intake of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in college students. Five hundred and eighty seven students age 19-30 (432 male and 155 female) responded to the beverage consumption survey. Of the students 19.9% were freshman, 42.2% sophomore, 23% junior, and 15% seniors. Results are summarized as follows : 1) Beer and soju were the most commonly consumed alcoholic beverages by the college students. The amount of beverage normally consumed was 3 cans of beer or 1 bottle of soju. 2) There was no age related change in amount of alcoholic beverage consumed, but preference for liquor rather than beer increased with age. 3) Foods most commonly consumed prior to drinking were cooked rice and milk. 4) Following the drinking of alcoholic beverages the most commonly consumed food or beverage was cold water for both males and females. The next most commonly foods were cooked rice, instant noodles, and cola for males ; and cooked rice, milk, and fruit for females. 5) Cola and pear juice were the preferred non-alcoholic beverages for college students. Also popular among students were date juice for males and orange juice for females. Milk and non-cola carbonated beverages were not commonly consumed. This study provides information for the identification of possible alcoholic beverage related public health risks among college students.

Analysis of University Student Awareness of Radiation Exposures from Consumer Products

  • Background: Since the terminology 'radioactive consumer product' is not quite familiar to the public and is often considered as negative and detrimental things, the educational curriculum is essential for establishing reliability of nuclear energy related and for the development of better communication strategy of radiation risk with the public. To provide base data which is valuable for establishing efficient curriculum of education and training about radiation safety, it is necessary to apprehend the different level of awareness of radiation exposures classified by various consumer products. Materials and Methods: On November 2014, a question investigation about asking awareness level of radiation exposure from various consumer products was done for university students who are highly educated. The object students are studied at a four-year-course universities which is located at Daejeon City. Results and Discussion: Although the average awareness level is comparatively low, the awareness of senior students, who major in radiation, nuclear related departments and male students are relatively high. On the other hand, the awareness of freshman, sophomore, junior students, who do not major in radiation, nuclear related departments and female students are relatively low. It is necessary to provide various information to avoid unnecessary concerns and misconceptions about radiation exposure. Conclusion: This paper will be an instrument for efficient establishment of curriculum of education and training related with radiation safety.

대학도서관 독서치료 주제목록 개발을 위한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study of Subject Catalogue Related to Bibliotherapy in the University Library)

  • 본 연구는 대학생들이 책을 통해 자신의 문제를 발견하고 스스로 치유하여 건강한 자아를 실현해 갈 수 있는 자기 성장적 정보제공을 목적으로 '발달적 독서치료 주제목록'을 제시하였다. 독서치료의 유형과 청년발달의 이론을 고찰하고, 대학생 상담 조사와 타대학 독서치료 주제목록 제공 사례 분석 결과를 토대로 대주제를 '육체/정신발달', '사회/정서발달', '인지발달', '진로발달'의 4개 영역을 설정하여, 중주제와 소주제를 도출하였다. 대학 신입생 때부터 발달적 독서치료를 통하여 자기 이해를 바탕으로 진로목표를 설정하고 자기 주도적 삶을 전개할 수 있다면 대학교육의 효과를 더욱 높일 수 있을 것이다.

선수용 사이클 웨어의 착용 실태 조사 - 국내 남자 고등학교 사이클 선수를 중심으로 - (A Research on the Actual Wearing Condition of Cycle Wear for Athletes - Focusing on Male Cyclist in Domestic Highschool -)

  • This study investigates the actual domestic and overseas cyclewear wearing conditions for male high school cyclists. The study results provide factors and degree of dissatisfaction as basic data for cyclewear development. This study was conducted on 35 male high school cyclists (freshman to seniors) by a questionnaire and interview method. Study results were: Male high school cyclists considered functionality as most important when they bought cyclewear and the brand they most often bought was a cheap domestic brand. Dissatisfaction with the crotch, thigh circumference and minimum leg circumference was higher than other parts during wearing. A cyclist is more sensitive to wear because they require more lower body motion than other parts. Cyclewear should be: less transformed even by frequent laundering, made of breathable material and use a sewing technique that minimizes air resistance and increases fit the body. Functional pads ergonomically designed with high tactile materials should be developed to prevent 'saddle sore' and groin soreness region that happens because of a lower body bending posture when cycling. A follow-up study is recommended to further develop excellence in cyclewear functionality and dimension suitability for male high school cyclists through the size system.

Lessons Learned from Twelve Korean Teachers of College-level EFL Writing

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate how Korean EFL writing instructors give feedback to their students' writing and what influences their feedback. A total of 12 Korean EFL instructors in Korean universities teaching freshman English and intermediate EFL writing courses provided their feedback given on students' writing samples and participated in interviews. Interviews were analyzed qualitatively with a constant comparative approach and some data from writing samples and questionnaires produced descriptive statistics. The first lesson from the results of the study was that grammar was still the most frequent concern in giving feedback on students' writing. Contrary to the participants' report, comments on content and organization were not produced very often. The second lesson came from the interview data. Some aspects of teacher feedback seemed mostly influenced by their beliefs on L2 writing and experience in teaching L2 writing. The final and major lesson was that teachers chose how they would give comments on students' writing depending on whether they found their feedback helpful in students learning to write. EFL writing teachers can produce effective feedback by clearly communicating their beliefs about L2 writing and criteria in their feedback to students in their EFL writing classrooms.

미용성형외과에 대한 대학신입생들의 인지도 조사 (The Cognition Study of the Freshman in College About Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)

  • Recently, as standard of living has been improving and awareness of well-being has been generalized, people's desire pursuing beauty has been spreading across the world. We made a survey with 184 graduating high school girls in December 2003. According to the survey. 57.6% of them knew about plastic surgery, 41.8% of them knew well about whole field of plastic surgery, and 60.3% of them wanted to have an aesthetic surgery. 44.6% got an information about an aesthetic surgery from general public and 27.6% from TV, respectively. Regarding the use of aesthetic surgery, 59.8% answered that it makes them more confident about themselves rather than just to be beautiful. 78.8% of them have complaints about how they look. Finally, as the personal desire to make themselves look beautiful to others increases, so does the interest in aesthetic plastic surgery. In conclusion, as the society of plastic and reconstructive surgeons, we still need more effort for the correct cognition and awareness of plastic surgery among general public.

청주지역 여대생의 속옷에 대한 태도와 개인적 특성과의 관계 (Relationship between the Attitudes toward Underwear and Personal Characteristics of University Female Students in Cheongju)

  • The purpose of this study were to elicit the attitudes toward underwear, to compare the difference according to the demographic variables, and to find the relationship between the attitudes toward underwear and social-psychological characteristics of university female students in Cheongju city. The questionnaires were to measure the attitudes toward underwear, the demographic information, and social-psychological characteristics. As statistical analysis, frequencies, mean, t-test, F-test, factor analysis, and correlation were used. The results were as follows: 1) The female students regarded tactile sensation of underwear fabrics as the important element in their attitude toward underwear, while they showed a little interest about gorgeous underwear style. 2) The freshman students have strongly. fixed ideas about the under wear, the other(sophomore, junior, senior) students showed more interest in decorative and fashionable aspects of underwear. 3) The attitudes toward underwear were classifies into six factors; intension about high quality, decorative design, stereotype, immodesty, style and comfort. 4) There were partially significant differences according to demographic variables in the attitudes toward underwear. 5) Also, there were significant correlations between the social-psychological characteristics and the attitudes toward underwear.

상명대학교 공과대학 수학교육 강화방안 연구 (A Study on Enhancement of Mathematics Education for Engineering College in Sang-Myung University)

  • 최근 국내대학 전반에 걸쳐서 공과대학의 우수 지원자가 점차로 감소되고 있는 상황이며 고등학교 수학 교육과정의 부실과에 따른 신입생의 학력저하에 대한 우려 또한 제기되고 있다. 이러한 위기상황에 대응하여 상명대학교에서는 공학교육의 발전 및 혁신을 위해 공학교육 혁신센터를 운영하고 있다. 공학교육 혁신센터는 공학교육 혁신을 위한 장기계획의 일환으로 수학 분야의 교육 강화를 위한 여러 가지 방안을 논의하여 도출하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 상명대학교에서 논의하여 도출한 수학 교육 강화방안을 제시한다. 이러한 결과들은 상명대학교 공과대학과 유사한 환경에 처해있는 다른 학교들의 수학 교육 강화를 위한 참고자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

대학생 환경동아리 활동의 교육적 의미 (A Study on the Educational Meaning of an Undergraduate Student's Environmental Club Experience)

  • This study investigates an undergraduate student's environmental club experience by employing a biographical research method. The informant has been member of the environmental club since he is a freshman. The purpose of this study is three points. First, which theoretical framework is suitable to explain the characteristics of environmental club experience ? Second, what is the characteristics of the informant's environmental club experience analysed by means of the theoretical framework ? Finally, what is the educational meaning of environmental club experience ? As a result, I find that environmental identity is very powerful framework to explain the characteristics of environmental club experience. Also, I explain the informant's environmental club experience as the formation of environmental identity by changes in three aspects. In the informant's life, cultural world of environment/environmental movement becomes salient which is closely connected with development of agency in the world and understanding how environmental problems can be solved. It is argued that environmental club experience has educational meaning in the studies and practices of environmental education, as follows. Environmental club experience has implications of redefining the goals of environmental education, and improving environmental problem solving learning. Finally, the informant's environmental identity is considered as reflexive identity which is formed through personal reflection of his experience.
