전력선모뎀 및 조광제어 안정기를 이용한 400W Metal Halide Lamp의 조광제어 시스템 개발 (Development of Dimming control system for 400W Metal Halide Lamp by Electronic Ballast and Power Line Modem)

  • In this paper, we developed remote dimming control system of electronic ballast for 400W metal halide lamp. This ballast could limit ignition current and soft start-up technique by the inverter with LCsCp resonance tank. The dimming circuit can dim from 400W to 200W by varying of the inverter switching frequency. The PLM consists of coupling circuit, BPF(Band-Pass Filter), FSK(Frequency Shift Keying) Modem and ${\mu}$-controller(Micro Controller). By coupling electronic ballast with PLM, the system that able to dimming the lamp through PLM is demonstrated by experimental results.

  • ATS Systems are activated against the over-running and the crashes between trains. Up to now, ATS Systems have been constituted analog systems adopting the changed frequency method or amplitude modulation, which is impossible to give any essential informations. In this paper, it is dealt with digital ATS Systems which are replaced the former ATS Systems in the advanced nation of railways. Especially, this paper shows the possibility of any developments for the digital ATS Systems by the experiment of digital ATS Systems by Frequency Shift Keying method.

  • This paper deals with new scheme of remote load control management system with communication from RCU to controller using power line Power line communication is useful for economical data link but various problems and limitations are caused in using power lines for communications channel. A power line is not so good in the commercial electrical power, and its load noise and high frequency noise are so much. To decrease these noise, we used the FSK(Frequency Shift Keying) modulation method. The experimental results show that the proposed system in this paper is compatible with the conventional system with low cost and the feasibility is very high for new or remodeling plant.

  • 본 논문에서는 백스캐터 통신 주파수의 검파한 에너지의 평균을 이용하여 신호를 판단하는 법을 제안한다. Bistatic scatter radio 구조에 해당 모델을 적용시켜 Radio Frequency(RF) 에너지 하베스팅을 수행한다. RF 에너지 전송 시 태그가 모든 RF 신호를 하나의 Frequency Shift Keying(FSK) 대역폭으로 모두 반사하여, 수신기에서 하베스팅 신호와 백스캐터 신호의 차이를 판별할 수 있게 된다. 수신기는 이를 이용해 최적의 안테나 선택을 할 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 적절한 파라미터 설정을 통해 효과적으로 신호를 검출할 수 있는 것을 확인하였다.

Multilevel multiuser detection system in multi-cell MFSK/FH-CDMA environment

  • This paper proposes a multiuse detection system in a multi-cell M-ary Frequency Shift Keying(MFSK)/frequency hopping(FH)-Code Division Multiple Access(CDMA) environment, in which the channel model is an OR-channel and in the reverse link. We have proposed a multiuse detection system in a single cell. However, this sitye is not adequate to detect multiuser in a multi-cell environment. Therefore, we propose a multiuser detection system based on 3 level OR decision with two threholds. The proposed detection system can delete interference as well as intra-cell interference, receive the weakened desired signal and reject the false alarm. computer simulation shows the performance improvement.

  • The study on the chip waveform design to minimize multiple-access interference (MAI) and its performance evaluation are very important since chip waveform decides the signal quality and system capacity of the direct-sequence CDMA wireless communication system. This paper suggests the analytical chip waveform to minimize the MAI. The BER and throughput performances achieved by the proposed analytical optimum chip waveform are compared with those of the conventional chip waveforms in the Nakagami-m distribution frequency selective channel when the differential phase shift keying (DPSK) is employed in DS-CDMA system. From the numerical results, capacity and throughput are improved about 2 times and 1.4 times respectively when it is compared with the Kaiser chip waveform that is considered as one of the best in the conventional ones.

  • In this paper, the bit error rate (BER) performance of the fast frequency hopping/M-ary frequency shift keying system using the clipper receiver is analyzed by using the characteristic function (CF) technique in the presence of n=1 band multitone jamming and additive white Gaussian noise environment. The CFs of the clipper receiver outputs are derived as a infinite series representation using Gamma function and Marcum's Q -function. The analytical results are validated with various simulation results. Performance comparisons with linear combining receiver are shown that the BER performance of the clipper receiver is much better than that of the linear combining receiver In addition, as the clipping level approaches to infinity, it is shown that the clipper receiver simply performs a linear combining without clipping and there exists an optimum value of diversity level (the number of hops per symbol) that maximizes the worst case BER performance of the clipper receiver.

Convolutional Code/Binary CPFSK 복합 전송시스템의 성능개선에 관한 연구 (Performance Improvement on the Combined Convolutional Coding and Binary CPFSK Modulation)

  • A binary continuous phase frequency shift keying (CPFSK), whose phase is a continuous function of time and instantaneous frequency is constant, is a bandwidth efficient constant envelope signalling scheme. A transmitting signal is formed by combined coding of a convolutional encoder and a binary CPFSK modulator. The signal is transmitted throuth additive white Gaussian noise(AWGN) channel. If the received signal is detected by a coherent maximum likelihood(ML) receiver, error probability can be expressed approximately in terms of minimum Euclidean distance. We propose rate 2/4 codes for the improvement of error performance without increating the data rate per bandwidth and the receiver complexity. Its minimum Euclidean distances are compared with those of rate \ulcornercodes as a function of modulation index and observation interval.

$4L^2$-APSK 신호점 배치 방법 및 이의 오율 분석 ($4L^2$-APSK Constellation Method and Its Error Probability Analysis)

  • 주파수 대역의 이용 효율을 높이기 위해 QAM, PSK와 같은 변조 방법들이 널리 쓰이고 있고, 이들을 변형한 APSK(Amplitude Phase Shift Keying) 계열의 변조 방식이 제안되어 일부 위성 통신 시스템에서 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존 APSK 계열의 변조 방식과 마찬가지로 성상도 상에서 전송 심볼들을 원형으로 배치하지만 각 층에서의 점의 배치 개수와 각 점들 사이의 거리를 새롭게 한 $4L^2$-APSK 신호점 배치 방법을 제안하였으며, AWGN 채널에서의 오류확률에 관한 식을 유도하였다. 또한 진폭과 위상에 각각 다른 크기의 분산을 가지는 새로운 Gaussian 잡음 채널을 제시하고 이 채널에서의 오류확률을 구하는 방법도 제시하였다. 그리고 모의실험을 통하여 이론적 분석에 의한 오류확률 식의 정확성을 검증하였으며, $4L^2$-APSK와 QAM에 대해 AWGN 채널과 제안된 새로운 잡음 채널 각각에서의 오류 확률(error probability)을 비교/분석하였다.
