In this paper, we propose ASLM (Adaptive Selective Mapping; ASLM) scheme based on peak observation for PAPR (Peak-to-Average Power Ratio) reduction of OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) signals. The proposed scheme is composed of three steps: peak scaling, sequence selection, and SLM procedures. In the first step, the peak signal samples in the IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) outputs of the original input sequence are scaled down. In the second step, the sub-carrier positions where the power difference between the original input sequence and the FFT output of the scaled signal is large, are identified. Then, the phase sequences having the maximum number of phase-reversed sequence words only for these positions are selected. Finally, the generic SLM procedure is performed by using only the selected phase sequences for the original input sequence. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme significantly reduces the complexity in terms of IFFT and PAPR calculation than the conventional SLM, while maintaining the PAPR reduction performance.

A circulating current is a major problem caused by directly connecting voltage-source inverters (VSIs) in parallel. This circulating current occurs as a zero-sequence current between the inverters by specific switch states. Several studies have presented alternatives using hardware and software methods. When coupled inductors (CIs) are employed for the high-frequency circulating current, a controller is required to prevent the low-frequency circulating current from saturating the CIs. In this study, the zero-sequence circulating current and its alternatives are investigated using hardware and mathematical description. A high-performance circulating current controller is proposed by applying a repetitive controller to the zero-sequence current control loop. The proposed controller can effectively minimize the low-frequency circulating current without any data sharing between the inverters in unfavorable conditions. It can also be applicable to the modular configuration of parallel three-phase VSIs. Experimental results verify the performance of the proposed controller.
In this paper, we proposed the frequency offset compensation algorithm and tracking algorithm which could improve the accumulated phase error for HDR-WPAN system. The proposed frequency offset compensation technique estimated each sample phase error by autocorrelation characteristics of CAZAC sequence, estimated phase error multiple each sample in a symbol, and finally compensated for the frequency offset. After frequency offset compensation using two steps, coarse and fine frequency offset, tracking algorithm have to use to compensate for the accumulated phase error. Because there is no pilot symbol in payload, more phase rotation occurred in received signal constellations due to the accumulated phase error as the payload length increase. Tracking algorithm compensates for a cumulative phase error ${\theta}$ between payload data.
A design method is proposed to optimize the stacking sequence of laminated composite plates for desired vibration characteristics. The objective functions are the natural frequencies of the laminated plates, and three types of optimization problems are studied where the fundamental frequency and the difference of two adjacent frequencies are maximized, and the difference between the target and actual frequencies is minimized. The design variables are a set of discrete values of fiber orientation angles with prescribed increment in the layers of the plates. The four lamination parameters are used to describe the bending property of a symmetrically laminated plate, and are optimized by a gradient method in the first stage. A new technique is introduced in the second stage to convert from the optimum four lamination parameters into the stacking sequence that is composed of the optimum fiber orientation angles of all the layers. Plates are divided into sub-domains composed of the small number of layers and designed sequentially from outer domains. For each domain, the optimum angles are determined by minimizing the errors between the optimum lamination parameters obtained in the first step and the parameters for all possible discrete stacking sequence designs. It is shown in numerical examples that this design method can provide with accurate optimum solutions for the stacking sequence of vibrating composite plates with various boundary conditions.

Though multilayered foam-panel structures have been widely used to reduce sound transmission in various fields, most of the previous works to design them were conducted by repeated analyses or experiments based on initially given configurations or sequences. Therefore, it was difficult to obtain an optimal sequence of multilayered foam-panel structure yielding superior sound isolation capability. In this work, we propose a new design method to sequence a multi-panel structure lined with a poroelastic material having maximized sound transmission loss. Being formulated as a one-dimensional topology optimization problem fur a given target frequency, the optimal sequencing of panel-poroelastic layers is systematically carried out in an iterative manner. In this method, a panel layer is expressed as a limiting case of a poroelastic layer to facilitate the optimization process. This means that main material properties of a poroelastic material are treated as interpolated functions of design variable. The designed sequences of panel-poroelastic multilayer were shown to be significantly affected by the target frequencies; more panels were obtained at higher target frequency. The sound transmission loss of the system was calculated by the transfer matrix derived from Biot's theory.

In bluetooth system, there are two kinds of interference. One is the frequency static interference, for example 802.11 direct sequence, the interferer uses fixed frequency band. Another is frequency dynamic interference, for example other piconets or 802.11 frequency hopping, the interferer uses dynamic frequency channel and cant be estimated. In this paper we introduce a novel solution of hybrid method of Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) and Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) to address the coexistence of bluetooth and Direct Sequence of wireless local area network (WLAN). Before any bluetooth packet transmission, in the turn around time of the current slot, both the sender and receiver sense the channel whether there is any transmission going on or not. If the channel is busy, packet transmission is withdrawn until another chance. This is the LBT in Bluetooth. Because of asymmetry sense ability of WLAN and bluetooth, AFH is introduced to combat the left front-edge packet collisions. In monitor period of AFH, LBT is performed to label the channels with static interference. Then, all the labeled noisy channels are not used in the followed bluetooth frequency hopping. In this way, both the frequency dynamic and frequency static interference are effectively mitigated. We evaluate the solution through packet collision analysis and a detail realistic simulation with IP traffic. It turns out that the hybrid method can combat both the frequency dynamic and frequency static interference. The packet collision analysis shows it almost doubles the maximal system aggregate throughput. The realistic simulation shows it has the least packet loss.

Taking a bledes axle of rotary tiller as a example, this paper discusses influences of four loading essential factors, which are strengthened amplitude, cycle times, loading sequence and loading frequency. in fatigue life. Determination principles of above four factors and monitoring methods of fatigue damage by local strain are dealt with. The actual field testing check of farm machinery is rapidly simulated by laboratory program fatigue test can shorten the period of development and improvement of a product. In the time of in-door simulation test, damage monitoring and four loading essential factors, which are strengthened amplitude , cycle times, loading sequence and loading frequency, have to be dealt with . If these problems are solved successfully, it is possible to accelerated test speed, reduce costs and manhours, and raise accuracy of test result. However strengthening method, loading pattern and influence of loading frequency on test result have not so far been discu sed systematically, damage monitoring is even more a difficult problem. Authors have studied above problems with the object of blades axle of rotary tiller.
Coordination among users is an inevitable but time-consuming operation in wireless networks. It severely limit the system performance when the data rate is high. We present FC-MAC, a novel MAC protocol that can complete a contention within one contention slot over a joint frequency-code domain. When a node takes part in the contention, it generates randomly a contention vector (CV), which is a binary sequence of length equal to the number of available orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) subcarriers. In FC-MAC, different user is assigned with a distinct signature (i.e., PN sequence). A node sends the signature at specific subcarriers and uses the sequence of the ON/OFF states of all subcarriers to indicate the chosen CV. Meanwhile, every node uses the redundant antennas to detect the CVs of other nodes. The node with the minimum CV becomes the winner. The experimental results show that, the collision probability of FC-MAC is as low as 0.05% when the network has 100 nodes. In comparison with IEEE 802.11, contention time is reduced by 50-80% and the throughput gain is up to 200%.
In this paper, we propose a new smart ordering application system for granting the customer numbers. The proposed system assigns sequence number of customers who visit at offline store as using speaker and microphone of smart device. This system has more advantage than the existing ordering system. Because the proposed system does not need any customer information like as phone number or SNS ID, it can protect customer privacy information. In this system, we use high frequency which is inaudible to the human ear as communication signal between speaker and microphone. To confirm performance evaluation, we perform a test with ten smart devices like as iPhone 6, 7, 8, Galaxy s8 and the result shown a success rate of 98.7 percent. Therefore, the proposed system can be useful service technology at the various offline store which need to assign a sequence number for customers, because many customers visit at the store.

Frequency domain equalization is the most promising technology that has relatively low complexity in multipath channel. A frame of single carrier system with frequency domain equalization (SC-FDE) has cyclic prefix to mitigate effect of delay spread. After synchronization and equalization procedure on the SC-FDE system, common phase offset (CPO) that can introduce performance degradation caused by phase mismatch between transmitter and receiver oscillators is remained. In this paper, common phase offset tracking in frequency domain is proposed. To track CPO, constant amplitude zero autocorrelation code sequence as training sequence is adopted. By using numerical results, performance of mean square error is evaluated. The results show that MSE of CPO has similar performance compare to the time-domain estimation and there is no need of domain conversion.
