  • Due to the influence of nonlinearity and time-variation, it is difficult to establish an accurate model of concrete frame structures that adopt active controllers. Fuzzy theory is a relatively appropriate method but susceptible to human subjective experience to decrease the performance. To guarantee the stability of multi-time delays complex system with multi-interconnections, a delay-dependent criterion of evolved design is proposed in this paper. Based on this criterion, the sector nonlinearity which converts the nonlinear model to multiple rule base of the linear model and a new sufficient condition to guarantee the asymptotic stability via Lyapunov function is implemented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). A numerical simulation for a three-layer reinforced concrete frame structure subjected to earthquakes is demonstrated that the proposed criterion is feasible for practical applications.

  • The integrated system for the structural analysis of space frame is made up 4 modules ; pre-process module, structural analysis module, optimum member design module and post-process module. Re-process module of these 4 modules involves data input module and structure modeling module. This study is to develope an efficient modeling program as a basic for development of pre-process module. This modeling program generates geometric information of space frame and performs the input fie form for structure analysis only by input general data. User can mode1 space frame efficiently within shut time by using this program.

  • This paper presents an explanatory study of combining the finite element and boundary element methods to achieve an efficient and accurate analysis of frame structure containing shear wall. This model analyzes the frame by finite element method and the shear wall by boundary element method. The purpose of this study is the specific case that boundary element is surrounded by finite element. If material properties of shear wall are relatively the very smaller than it of frame structure, the displacement shape of each node is calculated exactly. And if the solution of displacement is the larger, the displacement shape is approximated more accurately.

  • Green Frame is a method for Rahmen structure construction composed of composite PC members. The composite PC members of Green Frame which are based on in-situ production can reduce the construction cost and are more likely to secure quality when compared to production in factories. Previous studies developed forms for in-situ production of Green Frame composite PC members and proposed algorithms to arrange them on site. However, it requires not only their arrangement, but also calculation of an accurate production period to produce the required PC members in a limited space and supply them in a timely manner. In particular, it is necessary to clearly define the properties of detailed processes for in-situ production of PC members and to calculate the time required for respective process. To do so, this study is a basic research on calculating the time for in-situ production using a linear scheduling method.

  • The response analysis of frame structure with open section beams considering warping conditions and short duration load have been performed. When a beam of frame structure is subjected under torsional moment, the cross section will deform a warping as well as twist. For some thin-walled sections warping will be large, and accompanying warping restraint will induce axial and shear stresses and reduce the twist of beam which stiffens the beam in torsion. Because of impact or blast loads, the wave propagation effects become increasingly important as load duration decreases. This paper presents that a warping restraint in finite element model effects the behavior of beam deformation, dynamic mode shape and response analysis. The computer modelling of frame is discussed in linear beam element model and linear thin shell element model, also presents a correlation between computer predicted and actual experimental results for static deflection, natural frequencies and mode shapes of frame. A method to estimate the number of normal modes that are important is discussed.

  • The composite PC rahmen structure, called Green Frame, allows the main structural members such as PC column and beam to be produced on the site, resulting in a reduction of PC member transportation cost and the margin of PC plant (operation cost and profit), making it more economic than the bearing wall structure. To apply the Green Frame to practice, not only installation but also insitu-production process should be considered. Therefore, this study analyse the influence factors on insitu-production and installation schedule of composite precast concrete members. The results shall be used as basic criteria on the planning of insitu-production and installation of Green Frame.

  • This paper intended to propose the optimal outrigger position in tall building. For this purpose, a schematic structure design of 70 stories building was accomplished by using MIDAS-Gen. In this analysis research, the key variables were the stiffness of outrigger, the stiffness of frame, the stiffness of shear wall, the stiffness of exterior column connected in outrigger and the outrigger location in height. With the intention of looking for the optimum location of outrigger system in high-rise building, we investigated the lateral displacement in top floor. The study proposed the new method to predict the optimal location of outrigger system considering the frame stiffness. And it is verified that the paper results can be helpful in providing the important engineering materials for finding out the optimum outrigger position in tall building.

  • This paper proposes shape design of frame structures for vibration suppression and weight reduction. The $H_{\infty}$ norm of the transfer function from disturbance sources to the output points where vibration should be suppressed, is adopted as the performance index to represent the magnitude of vibration transfer. The design parameters are the node positions of the frame structure, on which constraints are imposed so that the structure achieves given tasks. For computation of Pareto optimal solutions to the two-objective design problem, a number of linear combinations of the $H_{\infty}$ norm and the total weight of the structure are considered and minimized. For minimization of the scalared objective function, a Lagrange function is defined by the objective function and the imposed constraints on the design parameters. The solution for which the Lagrange function satisfies the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker condition, is searched by the sequential quadratic programming (SQP) method. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.

  • For the reasonable analysis of design problems for agricultural facilities, considered the reinforcing effect of thin-wall. The most of agricultural structure is constructed small scale and have many purposes. Thus it has been designed temporary rather than permanent structure, and has relatively large slenderness ratio, small section and semi-rigid condition. Therefore many agricultural facilities are consist of relatively strong frame with weak wall at the viewpoint of stiffness and have not been reflected in the design. But the tension field influences to collapse of structure have already known. Therefore, we need quantification the effect of tension field at structural analysis. In this study, present the method of quantification the effect of tension field that came out thin-plate surrounded by high stiffness frame. The numerical results show that the effect of tension field effect for thin-wall is about 5% of the sectional area of frame in study agricultural facilities.

  • A Green Frame is a composite Rahmen precast concrete structure that utilizes the advantages of the steel frame and the reinforced concrete. Compared to bearing wall structure, the precast concrete structure may raise construction cost If the precast concrete members are produced in plant. Thus, if the precast concrete members can be produced in site, the cost-effectiveness and quality shall be increased. Various site conditions must be considered and reviewed to ensure a space for the in-situ production. Therefore, this study focuses on the basic study on the arrangement of in-situ production module of composite precast concrete members.
