낙동강의 보 구조물 설치 후 장기 하상변동 분석 및 평형하상고 예측에 관한 연구 (Long-term Bed Change Analysis and Equilibrium Bed Elevation Prediction after Weir Construction in Nakdong River)

  • 본 논문에서는 4대강 살리기 사업이 수행된 낙동강의 하상변동 양상을 해석하기 위해 과거 장기 모니터링 자료를 활용한 하상변동 분석을 수행하였다. 또한 4대강 살리기 사업 후 가장 큰 하상변동이 관측된 구간을 대상으로 향후 발생할 수 있는 장기 하상변동을 1차원 하상변동모형을 구축하여 예측하였다. 유입유사량 조건 및 유사이송공식에 따른 하상변동 예측 결과 값의 민감도 분석을 수행하였으며 단기 모니터링 실측자료와 하상변동 모의결과 값을 비교하여 모형 보정을 수행한 후 10년 장기 하상변동을 예측하였다. 모니터링 자료 분석 결과, 4대강 창녕 함안보-합천 창녕보 구간에서 전반적으로 가장 큰 최심하상고 변화가 나타났다. 1차원 하상변동 모형을 활용한 10년 동안의 장기 하상변동 수치모의에서는 창녕 함안보와 합천 창녕보 구간에서 구간별로 최대 2.07 m에서 3.26 m의 유사 퇴적이 발생하는 것으로 나타났다.

Evaluation of the tributaries by influence index on the mid-lower portion of the Nakdong River basin

  • The deteriorating role of Nakdong River due to the Four Major Rivers Project has caused a series of problems, including water pollution, drying streams, aggravation of the hydroecology. Geumho River and Gyeongseong-cheon had a higher concentration index and is believed to impact the water quality of the main stream. The influence index of Geumho River and Nam River between 2015 and 2016, which have a large amount of discharge, was the highest among the tributaries in terms of the load material balance. Showing the highest average concentration and average load in the index assessment, Geumho River is believed to require an intensive management for improving the water quality of the main stream. Furthermore, when the cumulative percentage of the average concentration and average load was compared based on the water quality improvement of the tributaries mixed to Nakdong River, which was set to 60%, Geumho River, Nam River, Topyeong-cheon, and Cha-cheon, which showed the highest ratio in that order, were determined to require a water quality management program as a priority.

Web 기반 SWAT Bflow을 이용한 4대강 유역 기저유출 분석 (Analysis of Baseflow at Four Major Rivers using Web-based SWAT Bflow System)

  • Korean Government has been promoting Four River Restoration Project (i.e., Han, Geum, Nakdong, and Yeongsan rivers) since the second half of 2008. This project is expected to protect against floods and droughts by water resources management. Many researchers have study water resources management, but most studies were focused on direct runoff. However, in order to efficiently protect against floods and droughts, baseflow should be studied as well as direct runoff. Because baseflow has a great effect on streamflow, it needs to be correctly analyzed. For more accurate analysis of baseflow, direct runoff and baseflow from streamflow should be separated first. In this study, 12 flow gauging stations of four major rivers were selected, and flow data from them were obtained (2004-2010) through WAMIS and Web-based SWAT Bflow system (http://www.envsys.co.kr/~swatbflow) which was used to separate direct runoff and baseflow. Baseflow values of Pass 2 in SWAT Bflow system were used. As a result of this study, baseflow contribution was ranged from 23.4% to 68.6% and accounted for about 50% of streamflow. Through this study, it shows that in the case of the flow fluctuation, baseflow is more affected than direct runoff by changes in streamflow in a flood or dry season. Thus, baseflow estimation should not be overlooked for efficient water resources management. However, it has a limitation in this study that because this study used to select randomly 12 flow gauging stations, it did not show a common tendency on each watershed. It is important that flow gauging stations reflected on topographic characteristics of each watershed should be selected in a rigorous manner for further reliable and accurate baseflow estimation on four major rivers.

낙동강 남강 합류부 수위와 수질 패턴 및 추세 (Patterns and Trends of Water Level and Water Quality at the Namgang Junction in the Nakdong River Based on Hourly Measurement Time Series Data)

  • As part of the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project, multifunctional weirs have been constructed in the rivers and operated for river-level management. As the weirs play a role in draining water from tributaries, the aim of this study was to determine the influence of the weirs on the water level of the Nam River, which is one of the Nakdong River's tributaries. Self-organizing maps (SOMs) and a locally weighted scatterplot smoothing (LOWESS) technique were applied to analyze the patterns and trends of water level and quality of the Nakdong River, considering the operation of the Changnyeong-Haman weir, which is located where the Nam River flows into the Nakdong River. The software program HEC-RAS was used to find the boundary points where the water is well drained. Per the study results at the monitoring points ranging between the junction of the two rivers and 17.5 km upstream toward the Nam River, the multifunctional weir influenced the water level at the Geoyrong and Daesan observation stations on the Nam River and the water quality based on automatic monitoring at the Chilseo station on the Nakdong River was affected strongly by the Nakdong River and partly by the Nam River.

LiDAR DEM과 다중시기에 촬영된 Landsat 영상을 이용한 낙동강 유역 내 토지피복 변화 탐지 (Land Cover Change Detection in the Nakdong River Basin Using LiDAR Data and Multi-Temporal Landsat Imagery)

  • 본 연구는 LiDAR DEM(Digital Elevation Model)과 다중시기에 촬영된 Landsat 영상을 이용하여 4대강 정비사업이 시행되기 이전 및 이후에 낙동강 유역 내 발생한 토지피복 변화를 탐지 및 분석하기 위하여 수행되었다. 우선 LiDAR DEM으로부터 추출된 제방경계선을 이용하여 하천유역 폴리곤을 생성하고, 하천유역 폴리곤을 이용하여 다중시기에 촬영된 Landsat-5 TM(Thematic Mapper) 영상과 Landsat-8 OLI(Operational Land Imager) 영상으로부터 4개의 하천유역 영상을 각각 추출하였다. 그리고 영상분류방법을 적용하여 각 하천유역 영상으로부터 하천유역의 주요 토지피복인 하천, 나지, 초지를 각각 분류하였고, 전체 면적에서 각 토지피복이 차지하는 비율을 계산하였다. 다중시기에 촬영된 하천유역 영상으로부터 분류된 각 토지피복의 변화량을 분석한 결과, 4대강 정비사업이 시행되기 이전과 4대강 정비사업이 완공된 이후에는 계절의 변화에 의해 나지와 초지의 면적은 큰 폭으로 변화하였으나, 하천의 면적은 큰 변화가 없었다. 반면에 4대강 정비사업 전후로, 낙동강 유역 내 저수량의 증가로 인해 하천의 면적이 큰 폭으로 증가하였다. 본 논문은 LiDAR DEM과 4대강 정비사업 이전과 이후에 촬영된 위성영상들을 이용하여 4대강 정비사업으로 인해 발생한 하천 유역 내 토지피복 변화를 탐지할 수 있는 효과적인 방법을 제시하였다는데 의의가 있다.

SWAT 모형을 이용한 낙동강 유역의 장기 유출에 따른 유사량 분석 (Analysis of Sediment Discharge by Long-term Runoff in Nakdong River Watershed using SWAT Model)

  • Sediment discharge by long-term runoff in the Nakdong River watershed should be predicted for the maintenance and management of the Nakdong River newly changed by the four major river restoration project. The data establishment by the analysis of runoff and sediment discharge using the long-term watershed model is necessary to predict possible problems by incoming sediments and to prepare countermeasures for the maintenance and management. Therefore, sediment discharges by long-term runoff in the main points of the Nakdong River were calculated using SWAT(soil and water assessment tool) model and the relations and features between rainfall, runoff, and sediment discharge were analyzed in this study. As a result of sediment discharge calculation in the main points of the Nakdong River and tributaries, the sediment discharge at the outlet of the Naesung Stream was greater than the Jindong Station in the Lower Nakdong River from 1999 to 2008 except the years with low precipitation. The sediment discharge at the Nakdong River Estuary Barrage (NREB) was corresponding to 20% of the Jindong Station which is located about 80 km upstream from NREB.

낙동강 백천 합류부 지점의 물환경측정망 대표성 검증 (Verification of Water Environment Network Representative at the Baekcheon Junction of the Nakdong River)

  • Multifunctional weirs constructed through the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project are operated as management water levels. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of water level in the main stem on the tributary water level according to multifunctional weir operation, because the operation of multifunctional weirs for water level management influences the drainage of tributaries. In this study, water level pressure gauges were installed and spatial and temporal water quality was observed. The LOcally Weighted Scatterplot Smoothing (LOWESS) technique was applied to the Nakdong River and the Baekcheon Junction, both upstream of the Gangjeong-Goryeong weir, in order to analyze water quality trends. When considering the overall analysis and observations, it was found that the water quality forecasting point located at the Baekcheon estuary point should be transferred to the Dosung Bridge, which is located upstream of the Sunwon Bridge.

낙동강에서 클로로필(Chlorophyll) 측정을 위한 클로로필 센서와 아세톤 추출법의 비교분석에 관한 연구 (A study on comparison and analysis of chlorophyll sensor with aceton extraction for chlorophyll measurement in the Nakdong River)

  • Concerns about water quality in the Nakdong River have been raised because the Nakdong River will change from a lotic environment to a lentic environmental due to the installation of eight weirs to be constructed as part of the Four Major Rivers Restoration Project. The rapid urbanization and industrialization of the middle and the lower reaches of Nakdong River causes the indiscreet discharge of uncleanly living sewage and industrial wastewater. And the water quality of lower reaches of Nakdong River is getting seriously worse. Owing to the water shortage of Nakdong River and the closing of reaches because of the estuary dyke in the dry season, the velocity of a moving fluid is almost accumulated under 0.03m/sec. Then a pollutant is piled up on the bottom of the river. Polluted sediment is formed and nutrition level of water is increased more and more. The eutrophication state propagated to dark brown or green from eutrophication often comes out. Therefore in this study, we measured Chl. a of chlorophyll sensor (YSI6600V2) and aceton extraction through field observation in the Nakdong River and Samrangjin. And we evaluated the reliability of chlorophyll sensor. In correlation analysis between chlorophyll sensor and aceton extraction, it shows high relation in general. And it also shows high relation among the chlorophyll sensor and aceton extraction of the dominant diatom (Skeletonema costatum), Dinophyta (Prorocentrum minimum) in the Nakdong River estuary by laboratory analysis results.

합류부에서 하상변동 수치모의 연구: 미호천 및 감천 합류부를 대상으로 (Numerical Simulation of Bed Change at the Confluence of the Gamcheon and Mihocheon)

  • 본 논문에서는 하천의 지류와 본류가 만나는 합류부를 대상으로 2차원 수치모형인 CCHE2D를 이용하여 장래하상변동 수치모의를 수행하고 분석을 수행하였다. 대상구간은 하상변동의 개연성이 클 것으로 예상되는 낙동강과 감천 합류부 그리고 금강과 미호천 합류부를 대상으로 하였다. 해당구간에서 4대강 살리기 사업이 종료된 이후인 2012년 8월 30일부터 2015년 8월 29일 수문자료를 활용하여 장래하상변동 수치모의를 수행하였다. 장래하상변동 수치모의 결과 합류부 부근에서 하상변동이 활발히 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며 특히 유사 퇴적이 집중되어 사주가 형성될 가능이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 수치모의를 통해 대상구간에서 하상변동, 평균 하상고 변화, 세퇴차량 등을 검토하여 장래 하도변화 특성을 검토하였다. 2차원 수치모형을 활용하여 지류 합류부 구간에서 향후 효율적인 지류 합류부 하도안정화 대책을 수립하는데 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

하천측량을 통한 대하천 유로의 형태학적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on morphological characteristics of large river channel based on bathymetry and near-river survey)

  • 자연하천 유로의 선형과 단면 형상은 유수 흐름 및 유사이송과의 상호작용에 의해 시 공간적으로 연속적 변화를 거치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 4대강 살리기 사업을 통해 대규모 하상 준설과 시설물 공사가 이루어진 낙동강을 대상으로 인위적 변화가 가해진 유로의 형태학적 특성이 시간이 경과함에 따라 자연적으로 변화해가는 양상을 살펴보고 정량적으로 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 강정고령보~달성보 구간에 대한 수심 및 하천측량을 실시하고 하도 단면의 기하학적 특성치와 유로 선형(곡률)을 지표로 4대강살리기 사업 완료 후 지형의 변화양상과 형태학적 특성을 파악하고자 하였다. 4대강살리기 사업 종료 후 유의미한 지형변화가 발생하기에는 충분한 시간이 경과하지 않았기에 지형변화의 정도와 양상에서 특별한 경향성을 추출할 수는 없었다. 하지만 본 연구에서 제안된 방법론을 활용한 지형특성 및 변화의 양상과 규모에 대한 지속적인 평가가 필요할 것으로 판단되는 바이다.
