경부고속철도 콘크리트궤도 토공 및 원지반 침하 (I) (Settlement of Embankment and Foundation for Concrete Track of Gyungbu High Speed Railroad)

  • An application of concrete track is being actively processed for the construction of Korean railroad. The concrete track has an advantage to decrease the maintenance ire, but is very difficult system to maintain after earthwork settlement occurred. Therefore, the management and control of embankment and foundation settlement is very important for the successful concrete track construction. We expect that the main part of the settlement of the concrete track is the one of embankment and foundation supporting it. Settlements vulnerable to the concrete track among the causes of lots of settlements are primary consolidation and secondary compression settlement of foundation, creep settlement of embankment, settlement caused by train load, and unequal settlement resulting from the difference of embankment material and construction process. This paper investigated the settlement causes to make badly effects on the concrete track and also evaluated the settlement with field tests and numerical analysis.

고유진동수 기반 석션기초의 지반구속효과 분석 (Confinement Effect Analysis Of Suction Pile In Ground Soil On The Basis Of Natural Frequency Measurement)

  • This paper presents the measuring process of dynamic properties of offshore wind power foundation and provides consideration of each step. This Guideline enables to maintain consistent measuring procedure and therefore increase the reliability of test results. Small scaled suction bucket foundation was fabricated to represent the commercial support structure installation mechanism and two cases(free-free, free-fixed) of dynamic tests were performed at workshop. From the tests, the importance of dynamic properties of connection part between suction bucket and tower was figured out. More over, types and configuration of measuring devices are recommended which can help find the natural frequency of wind turbine foundation correctly. In field test, it was found that the natural frequency of suction bucket foundation was increased linearly with the penetration depth due to the confining effect of ambient soil. Meanwhile, it was not easy to get an enough excitation force with normal impact hammer because the N.F of suction bucket model was in the lower range of 0 Hz ~ 5 Hz. Therefore, new excitation method which has enough force and can excite lower frequency range was devised. This study will help develop safety check procedure of suction bucket foundation in field at each installation stage using the N.F measurement.

기초형식 및 뒤채움재 종류별 강성관용 하수관거의 안전율 (Safety Factor of Rigid Sewer Pipe by Different Types of Foundation and Backfill)

  • 도심지 도로하부에서 발생하는 지반침하 및 싱크홀의 주요 원인은 하수관로 기초 및 관로뒤채움재의 부적절한 다짐 등이다. 이로 인해 하수관거의 이음부 파손 및 접합 불량, 관의 파손 및 균열 등 많은 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 하수관거 기초와 관련된 받침계수 및 굴착 깊이에 따른 안전율을 평가하였다. 강성관용 기초로는 쇄석기초, 버림 콘크리트 기초, 그리고 최근 새로 개발된 현장조립식 경량플라스틱 기초를 이용하였고, 뒤채움재는 현장발생토사(사질토 및 점성토), 현장발생토사를 재활용한 유동성뒤채움 등을 적용하였다. 굴착 깊이 및 하수관 기초별 안전율을 평가하기 위하여 하중 계수 및 받침계수 등을 고려한 설계하중을 평가하였다. 받침계수는 쇄석기초 0.377, 버림 콘크리트 기초($180^{\circ}$$120^{\circ}$) 0.243 및 0.220, 경량 플라스틱 기초와 유동성 뒤채움재는 0.231로 적용하였다. 전체적으로 쇄석기초 사용 시 안전율이 작게 나왔고, 받침각 $180^{\circ}$ 버림 콘크리트 기초 사용 시 안전율이 가장 크게 나타났다. 또한, 경량 플라스틱 기초와 유동성 뒤채움재의 조합을 이용할 경우 받침각 $120^{\circ}$ 버림 콘크리트 기초보다 안전율이 크게 나타났다. 이는 새로 개발된 재활용 경량 플라스틱 기초가 강성관의 또 다른 대안 기초로 활용이 가능함을 의미한다.

  • This paper presents the shaking table testing method, only using building specimen as an experimental part taking into account the dynamic soil-structure interaction based on the substructure method. The Parmelee's soil stiffness is used as an assumed soil model in here. The proposed methodologies are summarized as: (1) Acceleration feedback method is the one that the shaking table is driven by the motion, corresponding to the acceleration at foundation of the total SSI system. This is found by observing the fed-back accelerations of superstructure and using the interaction force based on the acceleration formulation. (2) Velocity feedback method is the one that the shaking table is driven by the motion, corresponding to the velocity at foundation of the total SSI system. This is found by observing the fed-back accelerations of superstructure and using the interaction force based on the velocity formulation. The applicability of the proposed methodologies to the shaking table test is investigated and experimentally verified in this paper.

  • Top-Base Method is a stabilization method for light weight structures particularly in the soft ground. It is widely used for the increment of bearing capacity and the effect of restraining settlement when the bearing capacity of the ground is not enough. Top-shaped cone concrete foundations are installed in graveled laid over soft ground. The principle of the basic method is to maximize effect of dispersing the overburden pressure by increasing the contact area of the top-shaped cone. Therefore, the bearing capacity is increased and the settlement is decreased by the embedded resistance of pile part in the ground. In this paper, the plate bearing test was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of Top-Base foundation. Based on the test results, the coefficient of subgrade reaction, elastic modulus, and settlement of foundation on reclaimed land was derived.

  • As buildings nowadays become taller in height and larger in size the safety review of lifting plan takes larger portion in construction project management. However, the cost and safety in lifting plan have a contradictory effect on each other. Therefore, an optimization algorithm needs devising as a solution of the contradictory problem. In many cases at construction sites, selections and stability review of tower cranes are assigned to equipment suppliers or field managers, which cause the problems in safety and cost of the projects. To improve the part of the current situation, a study on the optimization algorithm for designing the foundation of tower cranes is conducted in this study, which can be utilized by equipment suppliers or field managers to check the stability of tower cranes easily and promptly without substantial knowledge.

  • In this study, as part of the foundation for advancing the material compounding aspect to reduce hydration heat cracks in the mat foundation on which the mass concrete is constructed, the degree of concrete varieties of cement is used. The setting time was measured and comparative analysis was performed. Results It was confirmed that the concrete using LHC was more effective than the concrete using OPC in reducing the use of SP, the calorific value of the concrete was low, and it was more effective in preventing cracks. It is also terminated after 10 hours and it is determined that the use of LHC can reduce the cracks caused by the heat of hydration of the mat foundation.

석탑 기단부 적심구성방법에 대한 특성 고찰 - $7{\sim}8$세기 석탑 중 해체 수리한 석탑을 중심으로 - (A study on characteristics of composition method of inner foundation in stone stupa)

  • Through analysing on construction cases of stupa built in A.D. 7,8th, I have researched about these : constructive methods of inner soil of stupa, spatial compositions, characteristics of structures, arrangements of inner soil and etc. And cases analysed are six ; Mireuksajiseoktap(stone pagoda of Mireuksa Temple site), Gameunsajisamcheumgseoktap(three storied stone pagoda of Gameunsa Temple site), Goseonsajisamcheungseoktap(three storied stone pagoda of Goseonsa Temple site), Wolseong nawolliocheungseoktap(five storied stone pagoda in Nawonri, Wolseong), Guksagokseoktap(three storied stone pagoda in Guksa valley), Giamgokseoktap(three storied stone pagoda in Giam valley). Additionally we researched about inner soil of Sacheonwangsaji tapji(basement of stone stupa site in Sacheonwang Temple site) to speculate on composition of Synthetically, the foundation could be divided as core space and outer space. ; the former as structural function and the latter as ornamental function. And the core area could be divided again as center column space and buffer space. The relationship between core spaces and its formation are as belows; First, according to the area of foundation and scale of stone pagoda, formations of core are differed. As the scale of stone pagoda goes bigger, and the area of foundation goes larger, the structure of stone pagoda comprised by center column type and layered-core which endure upper load independently. On the contrary, as the scale of stone pagoda goes smaller, and the area of foundation goes lesser, the structure of stone pagoda tend to use only center column to endure upper part. Second, spatial composition of core area is comprised as two spaces, one which endure upper load and buffer space which absorb side pressure and upper pressure. The buffer space tend to be used in case of those structures which could not endure side pressure or have lots of joint. In some cases, it was located below the cover stone of foundation and gained upper load. And in case that have not gained pressure from side stone, the buffer space are comprised by smalle stone or roof tile to get structural supplement.

사질토 지반에 설치된 버킷기초의 수직 하중전이 특성 (Vertical Load Transfer Mechanism of Bucket Foundation in Sand)

  • 버킷기초에 작용하는 수직하중의 일부는 내부 흙을 통해 저면으로 나머지는 스커트 외주면과 지반 사이로 전달된다. 사질토 지반에 설치된 버킷기초의 설계를 위해서는 수직 하중전이 특성을 명확하게 규명해야 하나 아직 이에 대한 연구가 수행되지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 2차원 축대칭 유한요소해석을 수행하여 사질토 지반에 설치된 버킷기초의 수직하중에 대한 지반의 응답을 계산하였다. 극한 상태에서 버킷기초의 선단지지력은 얕은기초의 지지력보다 크며 주면마찰력은 말뚝의 설계식에 비하여 작은 것으로 나타났다. 선단지지력은 스커트 외주면에 작용하는 전단응력이 파괴면을 아래로 밀어내어 파괴면이 확장되기 때문에 얕은기초에 비하여 큰 것으로 분석되었다. 반면 주면마찰력은 침하가 진행되면서 버킷기초 하부의 흙이 수평방향으로 밀려 이동하면서 스커트에 작용하는 수평응력이 감소하기 때문에 작은 것으로 나타났다. 버킷기초의 극한지지력은 얕은기초의 선단지지력과 주면마찰력 설계식을 합한 값보다 큰 것으로 계산되었다. 이는 주면마찰력은 설계식보다 작지만 크기가 선단지지력에 비하여 매우 작아 지지력에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는 반면 선단지지력은 주면마찰력에 비하여 증가폭이 크기 때문이다.

  • The basic concepts, which are related to the PSS tuning conditions and performance conditions for the safe of determination of PSS gain and compensation of phasor lagging, are thoroughly investigated in this first part. The performance conditions, where the power system has the lowest inherent damping torque and PSS should provide maximum damping torque, are examined by analysing synchronizing torque and damping torque supplied by the voltage control loop at the oscillation frequency. PSS tuning conditions are also investigated by observing the phasor lagging and the gain, resulted from power system-generator-excitation system depending on operating conditions, such as generator active power, reactive power, transmission impedance and AVR gain. The basic concepts developed in this PartImake it possible to lay foundation for the discussion of PSS tuning in Part II.
