구상흑연주철의 고압하 마멸특성에 미치는 합금원소의 영향 II-Si, Mo (Effects of Alloying Elements on the High Pressure Wear Characteristics of Ductile Cast Iron II - Silicon and Molybdenum)

  • Surface layer properties such as composition, phase, hardness, and oxide layer condition are very important if the main failure mechanism of metals is wear. Generally, stable and dense oxide layers are known to decrease the wear rate of metals by prohibition of metallic junction occurred between bare metals. Addition of Si above 4 wt% to DCI(Ductile Cast Iron) is reported to enhance the significant oxidation resistance by forming the silicon-rich surface layer which inhibits further oxidation. And addition of up to 2 wt% Mo to high Si ductile iron produces significant increases in high temperature tensile strength, creep strength, thermal fatigue resistance and oxidation resistance. High pressure wear characteristics of unalloyed DCI(Ductile cast Iron), 4.46 wt% Si ductile iron, 4.3 wt% Si-0.52 wt% Mo ductile iron were investigated through unlubricated pin-on-disc wear test. Wear test was carried out at speed of 23m/min, under pressure of 3 MPa and 3.3 MPa. Wear surfaces of each specimen were observed by SEM to determine the wear mechanism under high pressure wear condition. Addition of Si 4.46 wt% severely deteriorated wear property of ductile iron compared to unalloyed DCI. But combined addition of Si 4.3 wt%andMo0.52wt%decreasedthefrictioncoefficient(${\mu}$)ofductileironsandremarkablydelayedthemild-severeweartransition.

한국(韓國) 연근해어선(沿近海漁船)에 대(對)한 전개가능곡면(展開可能曲面) 선형(船型)의 응용(應用) (An Application of the Developable Hull Surface to Korean Inshore Fishing Boats)

  • The Korea inshore fishing boats are the size up to 30G.T., and their construction commonly employs the traditional wide wooden planking. Nevertheless, the hull forms have been developed with chine-type straight-framed sections which give developable surface party, but not on the whole: especially not on the whole portion of the hull are preferable for them. Considering many merits in the boat construction, the author, excluding cases of the FRP construction by hand lay-up or spray-up method and of the ferro-cement construction, finds out no reasons to depart from the chine-type hull forms of a developable surface in future development of their hull forms, too. In this report, the author proposed new designs of the developable hull surface for four typical boats forming the main structure of Korean inshore fishing fleets; 5G.T.-class multi-purpose boat, 10G.T.-class angling and longlining boat, 20G.T.-class drift and gill netters, and 27G.T.-class stow netters, and presented the tank test results on their propulsion resistance. The tank test had two purposes; one is to present the powering schedule of the new designs and the other to investigate the resistance characteristics of this kinds of boat in comparision with those of equivalent round-type boats at operational speed ranges. Between the both types of the boat no material differences in powering are expected. Hence, the author is confident of that saving in the construction cost of the developable hull over that of the round-type boat may result in considerable contribution to the over-all boat economy.

  • ICT(Information & Communication Technology)기반의 차상제어시스템을 구축하기 위해서는 열차와 지상간의 통신 규격 정립이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이를 위한 선행 작업으로서 다중경로전송에서 발생할 수 있는 ISI(Inter Symbol Interference)문제를 해결하기 위한 기법들을 평가하고 OFDM이 최선의 선택이 될 수 있음을 보인다. ISI를 해결하기 위해서는 Single carrier 시스템을 사용시에는 등화기가 필요하고, 다른 기법으로는 OFDM 기법이 있는데, Single carrier를 사용하고 등화기를 사용할 경우 OFDM 대비 PAPR이 낮은 장점이 있으나 빔포밍, MIMO 공간다중화등의 다중안테나 전송이 어렵고, 높은 변조지수의 변조를 사용할 경우 BER적 측면에서 손해가 발생하게 된다. PAPR 관점에서 생각해 보면 차량과 지상의 통신에 있어서 중계기의 크기가 커도 문제가 되지 않으므로 OFDM의 PAPR문제가 크게 고려해야 할 사항이 아닐 것으로 판단된다.

해양환경하에서의 알루미늄 합금 선박용 재료의 기계적 특성과 전기화학적 특성 평가

  • Recently, it is on the increase interest for Al alloy with new material for ship application to substitute for FRP ship. The reason is thatAl alloy ship has beneficial characteristics such as high sea speed, increase of loadage and easy to recycle compared with FRP ship. In this paper, mechanical and electrochemical properties are investigated by slow strain rate test experiment in various applied potential condition. These results will provide as reference data to design ship by deciding optimum protection potential regard to hydrogen embrittlement and stress corrosion cracking. In general, Al and Al alloys are not corroded with forming film which has the corrosion resistance property in neutral solution. However, it was observed that formation and destruction of passive film by $Cl^-$ ion in sea water environment. At comparison of current density after 1200 sec in potentiostatic experiment, the current density in the potential range of -0.68 $\~$-1.5 V is shown low value. The low current density means protection potential range. Elongation in applied potential of 0 V was high. However, the corrosion protection application in this condition is impossible potential because the toughness is low value by decreasing strength by active dissolution reaction at parallel part of specimen. The film composed with $CaCO_3$ and $Mg(OH)_2$ has a corrosion resistance property. However, the uniform electrodeposition coating at below -1.6 V potential is not formed since the time to form the uniform electrodeposition coating is short. Therefore, it is concluded that mechanical property is poor because effect by hydrogen gas generation is larger than that of electrodeposition coating. It is concluded that the optimum protection potential range from comparison of_maxim urn tensile strength, elongation and time to fracture is -1.3$\~$0.7 V (SSCE).

  • 700미터 이상의 높이와 160층 이상으로 설계된 버즈두바이가 완공되면 버즈두바이는 인간이 건축한 건축물 중에서 최고높이의 건축물이 될 것이다. 바람의 동적효과를 완화하고 제어시키는 것이 가장 중요한 설계요소중의 하나이며, 설계초기의 공기역학적 형상과 풍공학에 대한 고려가 이러한 주상복합건물의 건축적 형상 및 디자인에 있어 큰 역할을 하는 반면, 건물의 구조시스템을 위한 재료 선택 또한 디자인의 중요한 요소이고 그 다음으로 세부적인 재료기술에 대한 평가 및 기술자 수급이 요구되어진다. 콘크리트는 콘크리트의 강도, 강성, 감쇠, 잉여력, 형틀성, 내화성, 시공성, 원가 등을 고려하여 선정된다. 이 논문은 콘크리트를 활용한 구조시스템을 적용하면서의 설계적으로 도전되었던 부분과 버즈두바이의 콘크리트공사의 초기계획에 대해 집중적으로 다룰 것이다.

광학적 방법에 의한 생식음료의 분산 안정성 측정 (Dispersion Stability Determination of Saengshik Beverage by Optical Methods)

  • 생식 첨가량을 3.7-11.7%로 조절한 생식음료의 분산안정성을 터비스캔을 사용하여 광학적 방법으로 측정하였다. 생식음료는 제조 후 시간이 경과함에 따라 음료 하부에서는 침전이 생성되어 후방산란광플럭스(이후 후광플럭스로 약칭)가 강해진 반면, 중간부에서는 청징현상에 의해 약해졌으며, 최상층부에서는 거품이 생성되어 다시 강해졌다. 생식 첨가량이 증가할수록 침전이 서서히 진행되었으며 전체 침전층은 두텁게 형성되었다. 침전에 의한 후광플럭스의 퍼센트변화율의 시간에 따른 변화는 로그 모델이 적용 되었으며 결정계수는 0.979-0.988로 높은 값을 보였다. 생식 첨가량은 생식음료의 상층부에 형성되는 청징층과 하층부의 침전층의 경계면, 즉 청징층 선단의 이동속도 뿐 만 아니라 분리된 층의 수에도 영향을 미쳤다. 생식 첨가량 3.7%의 경우는 2층으로, 5.7-9.7%의 경우는 3개 층으로, 11.7%는 4개 층으로 분리되었다. 생식음료 제조 후 17-29분 사이에 1차 청징층 발생이 시작되었고 22-53분간 지속되었으며, 생식첨가량이 낮을수록 청징층 두께는 증가하였다. 청징층 발생은 생식 첨가량 7.7%인 음료에서 가장 늦게 나타나 최대 분산안정성을 보였다.

폴리프로필렌글리콜을 글리콜 성분으로 하는 폴리우레탄 수지의 합성 및 물성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Synthesis end Properties of Polyurethane Resin Based on PPG as a Glycol)

  • TDI에 PPG 3000을 기재로 사용하고 PPG 400, PPG 1000, PPG 2000을 $0{\sim}50%$ 혼합 사용하여 프리폴리머형 폴리우레탄수지를 합성한 후 합성 내용을 분석하고 합성물의 물성을 조사하였다. 반응은 촉매를 합성 초기에 넣었을 때에는 글리콜이 TDI 적하시에 대부분 반응되어 점도의 급상승이 일어나 불안하였지만 $40^{\circ}C$에서 무촉매 상태로 TDI를 적하시킨 후 $60^{\circ}C$ 승온 후에 촉매를 넣었을 때에는 매우 안정하였다. 인산을 사용하면 $40^{\circ}C$에서 부반응이 억제되어 점도는 낮아지지만 경화반응시 입체적으로 가교되지 못해 가교속도는 느리게 나타났다. 경화속도는 NCO/OH의 비보다는 분자의 입체적 구조에 더 영향을 받았다. 접착력은 글리콜 성분 중에 PPG 400을 적어도 30%(wt.%) 이상 사용하였을 때 PPG 400에 의한 가교밀도 상승으로 보다 우수한 물성을 나타내었다.

더블라셀 소재의 CAD에 의한 표현과 물성연구 (Analysis of CAD Design and Physical Properties of Double-raschel Spacer Fabric)

  • WKSF (Warp-knitted spacer fabrics) knitted using a double Raschel machine is the three-dimensional knit that has vertically connected separate layers in loop structures. Because of its unique structure, the fabric is light, compressible and breathable. Owing to the high production speed, the use of the fabric is increasing in various areas. The purpose of this study is to establish the design process in the utilization of WKSF program and analyze the difference between WKSF and Neoprene as garment materials.. The study on the design related to WKSF has rarely been carried out because of the complexity of WKSF structure and the difficulties encountered in analyzing the structure and thread. Therefore, checking beforehand the simulation results similar to a final knit using the CAD program for WKSF can only enhance the efficiency of the design for the light knits. The conclusion drawn after designing the light knits using the CAD program and analyzing the pros and cons of WKSF through the various property evaluation techniques is as follows. The tension characteristic analysis results indicated that Neoprene specimen has the elastic transformation and resilience, thus behaving like an elastic product such as rubber. By contrast, in the event that clothing and fashion accessories are designed with WKSF, these products are kept in a boxy style fit so that the fabric can be applied flexibly to a curvy body line. In addition, WKSF is good in forming noticeably around a curvy body, because its resistance shear deformation is lower than that of Neoprene.

복합조직강의 고속인장 결과를 이용한 컴퓨터 전산모사와 실제 충돌시험 결과와의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study of Computer Simulation using High-Speed Tensile Test Results with Actual Crash Test Results of DP Steels)

  • Dual Phase (DP) steel which has a soft ferrite phase and a hard martensite phase reveals both high strength and high ductility and has received increased attention for use in automotive applications. To conduct structural analysis to verify vehicle safety, highly credible experimental results are required. In this study, tensile tests were performed in a strain rate range from $10^{-4}/s$ to 300/s for Sink Roll-Less (SRL) hot-dip metal coated sheets. Collision properties were estimated through simulation by LS-DYNA using the stress-strain curve obtained from the tensile test. The simulation results were compared with the actual crash test results to confirm the credibility of the simulation. In addition, a tensile test and a crash test with 2% prestrain and a baking (PB) specimen were evaluated identically because automotive steel is used after forming and painting. The mechanical behaviors were improved with an increasing strain rate regardless of the PB treatment. Thus, plastic deformation with an appropriate strain rate is expected to result in better formability and crash characteristics than plastic deformation with a static strain rate. The ultimate tensile strength (UTS) and absorbed energy up to 10% strain were improved even though the total elongation decreased after PB treatment, The results of the experimental crash test and computer simulation were slightly different but generally, a similar propensity was seen.

  • In the powder bed fusion (PBF) process, a 3D shape is formed by the continuous stacking of very fine powder layers using computer-aided design (CAD) modeling data, following which laser irradiation can be used to fuse the layers forming the desired product. In this method, the main process parameters for manufacturing the desired 3D products are laser power, laser speed, powder form, powder size, laminated thickness, and laser diameter. Stainless steel (STS) 316L exhibits excellent strength at high temperatures, and is also corrosion resistant. Due to this, it is widely used in various additive manufacturing processes, and in the production of corrosion-resistant components with complicated shapes. In this study, rectangular specimens have been manufactured using STS 316L powder via the PBF process. Further, the effect of heat treatment at 800 ℃ on the microstructure and hardness has been investigated.
