The purpose of this study si focused on Futurism style and contemporary fashion in the 20th century, by researching the Giacomo Balla, Fortunato Depero, Tullio Crali, Erenesto Thayate characteristics fashion design. The results of this study are following as : The general traits of Futurism style are classified with aesthetics, formative characteristics. First, aesthetic characteristics are based on H. Bergson's life-phylosophy and F. Nietzche's art theory. Second, formative characteristics is Dynamism. Futurism Dynamism are classified with psychological Dynamism and physical Dynamism. Futurism trends in the costume : first, dynamism in fashion design, second, asymmetrical balance, third, formativeness, forth, technology, fifth, anti-traditionalism. Dynamism are expressed textile, pattern and costuem shape in contemporary dress. Asymmetrical balance are expressed costume silhouette shape and framework through the geometrical asymmetrical balance. Formativeness are agree with Paco Rabanne's fashion design expressed body and movement and phychological world of human through the secondly fabric. Technology are expressed new mechanical dynamism in used technology art and new fashion material by metal. The last, anti-traditionalism is recognized new value and idea in fashion.

Dan-chung had many great traditional patterns of Korea. By investigating its patterns, which comprise the integral part of the formative features, and analyzing the aesthetic characteristics and formative beauty, the foundation was set to use the patterns as the motives of art makeup works. A focus was made on the basic elements, compositions and symbolic meanings of Dan-chung patterns. The representative patterns that were used a lot in Dan-chung made the motives of the four art make-up designs, which tried to integrate the aesthetic senses of the Dan-chung patterns into the art makeup venues. The four patterns were each based on the phoenix, bat, ghost face, and crane. The major colors used were white, black, red, blue and yellow, which were also the cardinal Five Colors of Dan-chung. They were changed in terms of luminosity and coma and manipulated to make harmony with intermediate colors so that the designs would ooze out the Korean aesthetic senses.

We consider the irrational part of the basic pattern drafting of the Geo-Ko-ri so that we want to design it more scientically. So there are problems which is found after we considered with comparison about the existingly basic pattern drafting of Geo-go-ri. (1) there is a difference between the practical and Calculation. (2) The part of the curved line was mad indistinctly There is a difference betweence the calculating expression and calculating value. (4) There are some parts which lack objectivity about the reference size. (5) The calculating method of Collar-width and Neck-Nidth are not formative and rational. These are items that we must consider and study further. Especially if we can make up of the scientific form in consideration of the formativeness focused on "git" I think it will make a great contribution to not only the standardization of the basic pattern of Geo-go-ri and the use of the use of education but also the manufacture of individual clothing the production by Auto CAD. The purpose of this study was to provide a formative charateristics by analyzing aesthetic charateristics of Egypt costume expressed in contemporary fashion. The result of this study obtained through this process were as follows. Aesthetic characteristics were expressed as a primative-retro characteristics, and a erotic-retro characteristics and a decorative-retro characteristics. Based on these trends, this study analyzed formative charateristics in an aspect of form, color, material, and decoration. In the modern fashion, unlike the H-line silhouette given by a natural fit in the primitive retro, the erotic retro was characterized in the shape by a tight H-line silhouette. For the color, peach, yellow green, gold, light blue, red, and black were used as the main color. For the material, see-through, gauze, mesh, organdy, and tight vinyl were utilized to emphasize an erotic image and expose a body secretly. For the decoration, the characteristic of erotic retro using the simple or same colors frequently was the use of similar accessories colors matched with material colors. The decorative retro was characterized in the shape by a H-line silhouette connected as a part of clothing which applied passium and a greatly modified silhouette from an Egyptian simple style which was well-matched with splendid accessories. For the color, the broadest range of color changes was found from light pastel such as white, yellow, light pink, burnt orange, blue, purple, silver, gold, and red to strong vivid tones. For the material, modern materials such as organdy, tulle, leather, and furs were often used. For the decoration, passium, an eagle pattern, scarab earrings, a crown, a sneak-shaped coronet, and pictograph printed on the fabric were frequently used.

This thesis examined the characteristics of constructivism that brought about expanded expression of modern jewelry, and also organized how the constructivism was utilized for jewelry. The objective of this study is to examine the attempts of new materials based on constructivism and various expression styles, and also to understand the concept of constructivism developed into an element of complex formative expression. For this, this study organized the characteristics of constructivism that was initially expanded from Bau Haus in the aspect of expression through the composition of material and space, and also analyzed the jewelry artists' methods and attempts to express various materials. As a result, the constructivism showed the expansion of the formativeness of jewelry in the formative aspect of steric expression and in-depth concept through the composition of architectural pattern, visualization of space, and use of other materials, which becomes an example of basic formative element of modern jewelry design. However, it is limited to the material formative element of constructivism, so the expansion of design would be needed. Thus, there should be more researches on the expansion of various jewelry designs that could express the philosophy of constructivism.

The purpose of this study is to help understanding of patterns and to play a guideline's role in the development of designs and the prediction of trends for present and future fashion designers and textile designers. The methods of this study are the study of academic literatures as well as practical study through the analysis about actual works. The results of study are like followings. An inquiry of Pattern history in 20c is divided into six periods by the classification of styles and the styles of fashion culture according to other artistic formative will. Main trends of Pattern's image in each period and characteristics in each dimensions of Pattern image positioning are like followings. Art Nouveau style period from 1900 to 1910 is , Art Deco style period from 1910 to 1920 is , Elegance style period of 1930s is , and New Romantic style period from 1945 to mid 1950s and Pop style period from late 1950s to mid 1970s does not show main Pattern image but they are shown in four Pattern image of , , , . Compromising style period from late 1980s to 1990s shows all of four Pattern image, at the same time shows intensive main Pattern's image, .

This study has purpose to understanding recent trends and image effect of textile in fashion by looking to dyeing technique and aesthetics of diffusing image pattern. Further the study will hope to provide basic data for fashion and textile designer fashion. The methods of this study are academic literatures as well as practical study through case studies about actual works. Dyeing techniques and aesthetics of diffusing image pattern since 2000 fashion collection and their results are as follows. First, Dyeing techniques of diffusing image pattern are wet-dyeing and printing. There are plangi dyeing, salt dyeing, alcohol dyeing and ikat dyeing in the wet-dyeing and spray dyeing, discharge dyeing in the printing. There are tie-dyeing, rumpling-dyeing and plank-dyeing in the plangi. Second, Forming of the diffusing image pattern are due to uneven seeping and the contingency of a chemical reaction by reducing the pressure and intensity. Third, Aesthetics of diffusing image pattern are extracted purity missing childhood, fantasy escaping facts of the situation and abstraction representing informal world from formative characteristics of diffusing image pattern.

This paper intends to find out any possibility that a traditional fan can be continuously used for design development of fashion cultural products which highlight the differentiated uniqueness of Korean traditional cultures. For this purpose, this paper will newly reinterpret design-based formative factors that the shape and the line of a traditional fan shows, and then, make a pattern. This paper studied the existing literatures of a traditional fan, made the shape of a traditional fan into a motif, using computer graphic programs, like Adobe Illustrator CS 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS2, and then, applied it to neckties, T-shirts, and scarves. Among various kinds of traditional fans this paper set 4 basic motifs of new formative images by use of the shapes of Dan-Seon and Jeob-Seon, and then, developed them into two basic motifs each. Pink, blue, purple, green, yellow, orange, and gray were used as the basic colors of the motifs, through which splendid, but calm images were planned. The design of a necktie, which used a developed motif design, was applied in the form of a repeated pattern, through which a calm image was expressed. 45o turn was applied to this design to make a striped pattern image or a refined and cheerful image. The scarf design was developed into a rectangular long scarf so it can be used like a shawl. The design of T-shirt was developed into three types: a round neck-lined half-sleeved box type; a round neck-lined sleeveless type; and a V neck-lined, tight half-sleeved type.

The purpose of this study is to understand of future image in fashion for 20C, to suggest a guideline's role in the development on fashion designs study. The methods of this study are used academic literatures as well as practical study. Futuristic image in fashion is to introduce about the future period, as fashion goes ahead times. Trends and formative characteristics of future image in 20C fashion are summarized as follows. First, futuristic images in fashion for 20C had emerged strongly futurism, space look, kinetic look, glitter look, techno look, cyber look. Second, perspectives on response for future society's changes are summarized as follows. Attitude of futuristic images of fashion, futurism, space look, kinetic look and glitter look, had been favorable about future society's changes until 1980. In 1990, techno look had been defensive and cyber look had been aggressive about future society's changes. Third, formative characteristics of future image in 20C fashion are studied shape, material, color, pattern. Shape was preferred linear and geometric form in the first half of the 20C, but body conscious type had appeared often in the second half of 20C. Material maintained the luster or the metal touch. Color was based image of colorless and preferred the gold, silver or color feels like metal. Pattern was preferred clarity with geometric type in the first half of the 20C. On the other hand in the second half of 20C pattern of future image was dominated by vague and abstract chaotic type.

This study analysed motion graphic formative image composition of TV LED backdrop to be used as background display for performers such as singers appeared on TV music show. Motion graphic LED images are comprised of various plane figures, and backdrop's design function as background screen has a goal to convey synesthesia and sensibility of visual elements. And this analyse classified sensibility concept about color, motion direction and speed to be elements of transmitting sensibility. As the analyse of graphic form among transmitting sensibility elements, this classified form type into its' applied elements, and studied how these elements' motion pattern and arrangement could be placed and replaced at song's four step composition, intro, verse, bridge, chorus part, and also characterized differences of backdrop design for male and female performers. As a case study, it included terrestial broadcasting TV song ranking shows targeted at teenagers. Because they carried out various motion design utilizations. Finally, this reasoned out mainly designing form type, its' applied elements, motion pattern and its' arrangements type division according to the song developing four steps.
