CHIP 영상으로부터의 CIF 추출 (CIF Extraction from Chip Image)

  • A series of procedures using image processing techniques is presented for extracting layout information fast and automatically from chip images. CIF (caltech intermediate form) is chosen for representing such information. First, line-edges are extracted using a line-edge detector. Then, thinning and noise removal procedures follow. Subsequent procedures are vertex extraction and vertex grouping. Finally, CIF is extracted from the coordinates of the grouped vertices. In this paper, the final process is applied to only metal layer. In experiments, this processing scheme is shown to be very effective in extracting CIF.

  • Pullout test known as Lok test among the test methods to evaluate concrete strength strength is a test method which is used to decide the form removal time by assessing the early strength of concrete in a new construction, or to control the quality of newly placed concrete. This method has inconvenience to place inserts on the form work in advance, however, the placing work is quite simple and it has advantage that the strength can be measured at field as long as the inserts are placed. In this study, the first step is to investigate the properties of test method itself, by performing the laboratory test which covers deviation of the method and factors affecting the results, etc. The second step is to correlate the result with cylinder strength and other NDT methods such as rebound hammer, ultrasonic method, etc. And that, the results are compared with foreign results to find the differences between the two. In this research, new factors such as moisture content, area of aggregate failure cross section and area of aggregate separation cross section, etc as well as wate-cement ratio and age are investigated.

악성 국한성 섬유성 중피종 - 1예 보고 - (Malignant Localized Fibrous Mesothelioma - Report of one case -)

  • Mesothelioma is a primary tumor of the pleura. There are two forms of mesotheliomas; diffuse form and localized form. The majority of localized mesotheliomas are benign, but the tumor with pedicle recur at 20% after removal of it. Malignant localized fibrous mesothelioma is differential diagnosed pathologically and clinically with diffuse mesothelioma. Symptoms of localized mesothelioma are generally related to the size of the tumor. We presented one case of malignant localized fibrous mesothelioma. The patient was 32 years old female and chief complaints were dyspnea and dry cough. Sputum cytology and needle lung biopsy were not able to diagnose definitely the tumor. Explothoracotomy was carried out for definite tissue biopsy. At the time of operation, huge adult head size mass was in the right thoracic cavity. The surface of the mass was nodular, multilobular and had hard consistency. Pedicle was formed above first rib and its diameter was 4.5cm. There was no adhesion except to RUL. Frozen biopsy suggested mesothelioma. Extirpation of the mass, right upper lobectomy. and partial pleurectomy were carried out.

  • An enzyme, named GTP cyclohydorlase, that catalizes the hydrolytic removal of carbon No.S of GTP has been partially purified from extracts of Pseudomonas putida (IAM 1506). The enzyme exists in two molecuar weight forms : a high molecular weight form (150,000) and a low molecular weight from (40,000). The high molecular weight form has been purified 25-fold. Some of the properties of the enzyme are as follows : It functions optimally at pH8.0, and at $52^{\circ}C$. The Km value for GTP is $20{\mu}M$. Divalent cations $(Cd^{2+}\;and\;Hg^{2+})$ 2+/) at a concentration of 5mM inhibit completely the enzyme activity. No metal ion including $Mg^{2+}$ is needed for the catalysis. The enzyme is heat labile ; its half at $57^{\circ}C$ is 1.5 min. Of a number of nucleotides tested, only GDP was used to any extent as substrbte in place of GTP. One of the products of the enzyme is determined to be a dihydro-neopterin compound.

  • Recently, high quality architectural concrete, i.e., appearance of natural stone and a marbling effect, is needed, to achieve high quality glassy reflective surface for outer wall of the building. In this study to achieve above characteristics of the "glossing exposure concrete" we developed a form practice and the best mix proportion and derived the optimistic removal time of form to bring out the durable glassy reflective surface and durable concrete.   • An EP(Electrolytic Polishing)-MAP(Magnetic Abrasive Polishing) hybrid process was applied to remove burr on the micro pattern. Micro pattern fabrication processes are combined with micro milling and EP-MAP hybrid process for deburring. Depending on the micro milling conditions which are applied, micro burrs are formed around the side and top of the pattern. The EP-MAP deburring is used to remove these burrs effectively. To optimize removal rate and form error in the EP-MAP hybrid process, a design of experiment was performed. The effect of deburring process and form error of micro pattern are evaluated via SEM images and the results of AFM.

  • 이 논문에서는 화가의(Painter's) 알고리듬을 사용하여 3차원 자유형상곡면(Three dimensional free form surface)을 가시화하는 방법을 개발하였고, 특히 선체형상은 Open 균일 B-Spline 곡면으로 정의하였다. 컴퓨터그래픽스를 응용하여 와이어프레임, 숨은면제거, 묘영등의 가시화를 위한 프로그램을 완성하였다. 또한 선체곡면의 순정을 검토하기 위해 Gaussian 곡률값을 15등급으로 구분하여 등급별 색(color)처리 하였다.

특징형상을 이용한 선각설계

  • Feature based design approach is widely studied for the application of mechanical part design and process planning. Mechanical parts are associated with volumetric form features in nature. Therfore, one of the important characteristics that reside in the form feature research until now is that features have been studied in connection with CAPP for material removal. We studied the application of feature based design for ship structure design. Ship structure has interesting nature that tis distinct from mechanical parts. Among these are multiple cell structure, non-volumetric part and production by welding or assembling. An idea of applying feature based design paradigm for design, process planning, cost analysis and engineering calculation was shown. Non-manifold geometric modeler ACIS was adopted to fully benefit from the non-manifold nature of ship structure.

  • The shear connection of the vertical construction joint of a slurry wall by the concrete shear key has excellent structural performance and is economical and eco-friendly. However, technology for forming concrete shear keys in the underground is still underdeveloped. This paper proposes the development of the construction technology required to form a concrete shear key at the vertical construction joint of the slurry wall.

왕겨펠렛 생물담체 개발 및 이를 이용한 bio scrubber형 악취제거 시스템 성능평가 (Developmemt of Rice Husk Pellets as Bio-filter Media of Bio Scrubber Odor Removal System)

  • The rice husk contains nutrients which can be easily utilized by microorganisms, and also has a water retaining ability, which played a crucial part in enabling it to become a biofilter media. In this study, we evaluated the applicability of rice husk pellet bio-scrubber as a microbiological carrier. The pelletization experiment of rice husk as a biological media was performed using PVA and EVA binder. Also, the feasibility tests of rice husk as a biological media for odor removal were carried out in order to know whether rice-husk contains useful components as a media for microbiological growth or not. Lastly, a combined test for odor gas absorption and biological oxidation was conducted using a lab scale bio-filter set-up packed with rice-husk pellets as wet-scrubber. The major components of the rice husk were carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen, while carbon acted as the main ingredient which comprised up to 23.00%. The C : N : P ratio was calculated as 45 : 1 : 2. Oxygen uptake rate, yield and decay rate of the rice husk eluent was calculated to be $0.0049mgO_2/L/sec$, 0.24 mgSS/mgCOD and 0.004 respectively. The most stable form of rice husk pellets was produced when the weight of the rice husk, EVAc, PVAc, and distilled water was 10 : 2 : 0.2 : 10. The prepared rice husk pellets had an apparent density of 368 g/L and a porosity of 59.00% upon filling. Dry rice husks showed high adsorption capacity for ammonia gas but low adsorption capacity for hydrogen sulfide. The bio-filter odor removal column filled with rice husk pellets showed more than 99.50% removal efficiency for NH3 and H2S gas. Through the analysis of circulation water, the prime removal mechanism is assumed to be the dissolution by water, microbial nitrification, and sulfation. Finally, it was confirmed that the microorganisms could survive well on the rice husk pellets, which provided them a stable supply of nutrients for their activity in this long-term experiment. This adequate supply of nutrients from the rice husk enabled high removal efficiency by the microorganisms.
