An estimated 250 million people worldwide suffer from lymphedema. In the past, the first-line option for treatment was nonsurgical management, either in the form of compression garments or wrapping, or comprehensive decongestive therapy, with debulking surgery reserved for the more advanced cases. However, with improvements in microsurgical techniques and imaging modalities, surgical intervention is increasingly being utilized. This review highlights recent advancements in the surgical treatment of lymphedema, specifically focusing on improvements in imaging, surgical techniques, and prevention of lymphedema.

In both continuous-review and periodic-review non-stationary inventory systems, the non-stationary Poisson demand process and the associated inventory position processes were proved being mutually independent of each other, which lead to the probability distribution of the corresponding net inventory position process in the form of a finite product sum of those two process distributions. It is also discussed how these results can correspond to analytical stochastic inventory cost function formulations in terms of the probability distributions of the processes.

It is definite trend that the functional devices are to be integrated by miniaturizing of individual components. Railway stations are functional buildings. Their primarily role is to help passengers or freights complete their trip safely, easily, comfortably, and to improve the railway operating system. However, some urban stations are lately taking the form of what is called a station complex, and some regional stations are being constructed together with local public facilities. Roles of railway station are changing. Therefore, meeting user, railway operator, local resident, and government needs, roles of railway station would include multi-functional complex, high quality terminal, community center.

Currently, cloud computing is being used as a technology that greatly changes the IT field. For many businesses, many cloud services are available in the form of custom, reliable, and cost-effective web applications. Most cloud service providers provide functions such as IoT, machine learning, AI services, blockchain, AR & VR, mobile services, and containers in addition to basic cloud services that support the scalability of processors, memory, and storage. 본 연구는 회복탄력성이 노인의 정신건강에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴봄으로써 고령사회 속 노인들의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 방안을 마련하는데 기초자료를 제공하는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구에서는 설문에 참여한 춘천지역 65세 이상 노인 2,004명이 분석에 포함되었으며, 정신건강의 부정적 측면으로 우울을, 긍정적 측면으로 정신적 웰빙을 선별하여 회복탄력성과 정신건강의 관계를 보다 통합적으로 살펴보았다. 회복탄력성과 우울의 관계는 로지스틱 회귀분석으로, 회복탄력성과 정신적 웰빙의 관계는 다중회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 첫째, 노인의 회복탄력성은 우울과 유의미한 부적 관계를 보였다. 둘째, 노인의 회복탄력성은 정신적 웰빙과 유의미한 정적 관계를 보였다. 이상의 결과를 통해 회복탄력성이 노인 정신건강의 보호요인으로 작용함과 이를 활용하여 노인의 삶의 질 개선을 위한 효과적인 방안을 구축할 수 있는 가능성을 확인하였다.

As the internet dramatically grows, internet electronic commerce is being increased. But, as products distributed with ESD(Electronic Software Distribution) are in the form of electronic file, it is difficult to prohibit illegal copy of products. Therefore, new technology is needed to distinguish legal products from illegal ones. In this paper, we present the ESD's requirements, characteristics and a new dynamic license management technology to prevent illegal copy.

Manufacturers want brand promotions at the stores. In contrast, retailers want promotions for the stores rather than for the brands since better store promotions can attract customers from the competing retail stores. In this paper, three scenarios are assumed for the promotions in terms of the allowances or the side-payments form the manufacturer to the retailer and the pass-through rate for the allowances being used for the brand promotions by the retailer. An analytical model for the marketing channel distribution is used for the analysis. Then, several marketing implications are suggested based on the findings.

In this paper, we propose a neural network with fuzzy preprocessor not only for improving the classification accuracy but also for being able to classify objects whose attribute values do not have clear boundaries. The fuzzy input signal representation scheme is included as a preprocessing module. It transforms imprecise input in linguistic form and precisely stated numerical input into multidimensional numerical values. The transformed input is processed in the postprocessing module. The experimental results indicate the superiority of the backpropagation network with fuzzy preprocessor in comparison to the conventional backpropagation network.

The number of jet aircraft is increasing. The aircraft noise making people near airports nervous have become a serious social problem. The aircraft noise can be classified into two groups; noise being generated at take-off or landing and noise form run-up test on the ground. In this paper, we consider the aircraft noise from run-up test on the pound and we suggest the noise suppression system.
