  • The purpose of this study is to examine and assess the major characteristics and changes of politics, economy, and diplomacy in Thailand in 2016. Specifically, it reviewed the New Constitution that was passed in 2016, the confrontation between different political forces and the trend of military regime around the New Constitution, and the political instability caused by the accession of the new king to the throne. This study also set out to figure out changes to the economy and foreign relations of the country, including its relations with South Korea, under the military regime and make predictions for the impact and future prospects of King Bhumibol Adulyadej's death on the politics and economy of the country. In 2016, the politics of Thailand took a step further toward the transfer of power to civil government and established a foundation for an authoritarian system. The draft of the New Constitution, which does not seem to be democratic, was approved by a referendum and enabled the military authorities to continue their political interventions, even after the general election. The New Constitution, in particular, reduces the power of political parties itself in addition to simply keeping the Thaksin's party in check; thus, anticipating ongoing conflicts between the military authorities and political parties. In this situation, the absence of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who used to play a decisive role in promoting the political stability of the country, and the accession of the new king to the throne raise concerns about the acceleration of political instability, which has continued after the coup and influenced the diplomatic relations of the country. Today, Thailand is distancing itself from Western nations that do not recognize the current military regime including the U.S.A. and EU member states and instead maintains a rapidly friendly and close relation with China. In 2016, the economy of Thailand made a gradual recovery rather than high growth. The death of King Bhumibol Adulyadej has exerted limited direct economic impacts only on individual consumption and tourism and is not likely to cause a recession. An economic crisis will, however, be unavoidable if the political confrontations escalate before the general election to transfer power to the civil government.

Selected key words of web search traffic are categorized by how much directly related to "Korean Tourism" in a three levels. Classifying categories helps to find out which keyword can explain Youke inbound demands from close one to far one as distance of category. Web search traffic data of each key words gathered by web crawler developed to crawling web search data onto Baidu Index. Using automatically gathered variable data, linear model is designed by multiple regression analysis for suitable for operational application of decision and policy making because of easiness to explanation about variables' effective relationship. After regression linear models have composed, comparing with model composed traditional variables and model additional input web search traffic data variables to traditional model has conducted by significance and R squared. after comparing performance of models, final model is composed. Final regression model has improved explanation and advantage of real-time immediacy and convenience than traditional model. Furthermore, this study demonstrates system intuitively visualized to general use -Youke Mining solution has several functions of tourist decision making including embed final regression model. Youke Mining solution has algorithm based on data science and well-designed simple interface. In the end this research suggests three significant meanings on theoretical, practical and political aspects. Theoretically, Youke Mining system and the model in this research are the first step on the Youke inbound prediction using interactive and instant variable: web search traffic information represents tourists' attention while prepare their trip. Baidu web search traffic data has more than 80% of web search engine market. Practically, Baidu data could represent attention of the potential tourists who prepare their own tour as real-time. • This study aims to identify changes that have occurred in the regional structure and locational characteristics of the Najin-Seonbong Economic and Trade Zone established in North Korea in 1991. In order to analyze land use patterns as variables of change in the regional structure, an field trip data, satellite imagery and other materials about the region are examined. In terms of its location as a major regional transit hub, the Najin-seonbong Economic and Trade Zone has not been supported by the required infrastructural developments and the establishment of the export processing zones has exposed the lack of vital links with local networks and industry. Thus, despite the fact that the local government has made a lot of effort in attracting foreign investment over the past decade, little progress has been made and the region has not changed. By and large, its operational efficiency and potential for development as a major export processing zone has been relatively limited. In the long w, prospects for the region's emergence as a major economic player will depend on the North Korean Govemment's policy in tackling the various infrastructural deficiencies.

  • As Telepresence has emerged as a key collaboration tool for supporting trade business, the need for using Telepresence has also been increased in the foreign countries. In this context, we has studied an exploratory research to analyze how staffs-in-charges of trade support authority, exhibition & convention center and SME(Small and Medium-Size Enterprise) perceive the general concept of Telepresence, the necessity, feasibility, business values and expected problems of Telepresence's adoption and use. The finding indicated that there seemed to be significant differences between the necessity and the feasibility of Telepresence adoption and use. In addition, they were anticipating some problems when building Telepresence. Major reasons are incompatibility between Telepresence systems, lack of usability and difficulties of fixing a rental fee. The results of the perception analysis also showed that Telepresence would positively influence on creating business value. The analysis revealed that the core factors of the successful adoption and use of Telepresence are stable network environment, awareness and accessability, and education and promotion. Through the perception analysis, I came up with the core factors to implement Telepresence successfully and use it properly. And the fact that I presented the guideline to build Telepresence for SME makes this study meaningful.

  • Eco-friendly mountain railways operate on concrete rack tracks embedded on existing sharp curved and steep roads to preserve the environment in mountainous areas. Owing to the narrow roads, single lines are inevitable, and many branches are required. In branches, previous switchers and heating devices cannot be applied, because of the limited spacing for the rack and the slow removal of thick ice. To solve these problems, a switch and a heating device have been developed. The switcher changes the line by moving the block of concrete track with hydraulic actuators. The lack of discontinuity reduces the derailment risk and makes locking simple. The heating device uses high frequency induction coils to increase the efficiency and melt the thick ice rapidly. The prototype switcher and heating device were produced and operated to prove their performance. The heating device yielded a 10 times greater efficiency than the previous one. The switcher and heating device are the essential core technologies for the operation of mountain trams in winter and contribute to the spread of mountain railways to domestic or foreign resort areas by enhancing safety and efficiency. In addition, they can provide transportation rights to local residents in poor winter traffic, and bring about tourism and local economic growth.

  • As more manufacturing and global businesses are being pulled into the port area, the idea of a Port Business Valley (PBV) is being pondered as it would create jobs and added value. The PBV would be centered around the harbor and be connected to the port, a logistics district, an industrial district, and the city. The resulting domestic and foreign investment in logistics, industry, business, tourism, living, etc. would vitalize the geographical characteristics of Incheon Port. It would also generate the largest amount of ripple effects between industries in the PBV. However, up until recently, the most frequently offered examples of planning that have helped logistics of a port to grow that have used a PBV have been those of Busan New Port and Gwangyang Port. However, this study is the result of the recent inception of the idea of creating a PBV centered around Incheon Port and the need for experts to develop a plan for such a PBV in Incheon by conducting a site specific study. The aim of this study is to set up the concept of PBV and establish PBV model of Incheon Port. In addition, this study identifies construct factors and their strategies for establish PBV of Incheon Port and then, shows the key factors and related-strategies on Fuzzy-AHP analysis from a survey of logistics experts with Incheon Port.
