한국형 e-Navigation 운영센터의 서비스 통합을 위한 DDS 미들웨어 분석 (Analysis of the Communication Middleware for Service Integration of Korean e-Navigation Operation Center)

  • 한국형 e-Navigation은 해양사고를 줄이기 위해서 도입하고 있는 체계로, 선박 운항기술에 정보통신 기술을 융합하고 있다. 해양사고를 줄이기 위해 한국형 e-Navigation은 "사고취약선박 모니터링", "사고취약선박 선내지원 모니터링", "최적안전항로 지원", "소형선박용 전자해도 스트리밍", "도선 및 예선 지원", "해양 안전정보 제공"과 같은 서비스를 제공한다. 각 서비스는 기능단위로 분리된 별도의 시스템이며, 전체가 통합되어 한국형 e-Navigation을 구성하게 된다. 각 서비스를 유기적으로 연결하고 원활한 데이터 통신이 가능토록 하기 위해 데이터 미들웨어를 도입하고 있으며, 그중 효과적이라 판단되고 있는 것은 DDS(Data Distribution Service)이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 한국형 e-Navigation에 적용하기 위해서 DDS 미들웨어가 필수적으로 제공해야 하는 기능 및 특징을 분석하였다.

A study on the Manoeuvring Motion Under the Condition of External Forces in Restricted Waterways

  • In the present paper, the analysis is on the safe navigation between ships moving each other in restricted waterways under the external force, such as wind or current The numerical simulation of manoeuvring motion was carried out to propose an appropriate safe speed and distance between ships, which is required to avoid marine disasters from the viewpoint of marine safety. From the inspection q this investigation, it indicates the following result In case of proximal navigation between ships under the wind and current, the low-speed vessel is potentially hazardous because the rudder force if low-speed vessel needed for steady-state course-keeping is not sufficient, compared to the high-speed vessel The manoeuvring characteristic based on this investigation will be very useful for keeping the safety of navigation from the practical point of ships design and traffic control in restricted waterways.

A Correction System of Odometry Error for Map Building of Mobile Robot Based on Sensor fusion

  • This paper represents a map building and localization system for mobile robot. Map building and navigation is a complex problem because map integrity cannot be sustained by odometry alone due to errors introduced by wheel slippage, distortion and simple linealized odometry equation. For accurate localization, we propose sensor fusion system using encoder sensor and indoor GPS module as relative sensor and absolute sensor, respectively. To build a map, we developed a sensor based navigation algorithm and grid based map building algorithm based on Embedded Linux O.S. A wall following decision engine like an expert system was proposed for map building navigation. We proved this system's validity through field test.

A Study on the Minimum Safe Distance between Two Vessels in Confined Waters

  • This paper is mainly concerned with the interaction effects between two vessels and sidewall with a mound. Experimental study on hydrodynamic forces between ship and sidewall with a mound was already shown in the previous paper, measured by varying the distances between ship and sidewall. The ship maneuvering simulation was conducted to find out the minimum safe distance between vessels, which is needed to avoid sea accident in confined waters. From the inspection of this investigation, it indicates the following result. When and if one vessel passes the other vessel through the proximity of sidewall with a mound, the spacing between two vessels is needed for the velocity ratio of 1.2, compared to the case of 1.5. Also, for the case of ship-size estimation, the ship maneuvering motion is more affected by interaction effects for the overtaken small vessel, compared to the overtaking large vessel.

  • The authors aim to establish the theory necessary for developing the free gyrocompass. The following considerations are taken. One is to suggest north-finding principle by the angular velocity of the earth's rotation, and the other is to suggest that the motion rate of the spin axis in the free gyro frame is transformed into the platform fame and this transformed rate is again transformed into the NED navigation frame. After transformation ship's heading is obtained using the fore-aft and athwartship components of the motion rate of the spin axis in the NED frame In addition it was suggested how to solve the transformation matrix necessary for transforming each frame.

선박 그룹항해시스템의 항법 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Sailing Algorithm for Ship Group Navigation System)

  • 자율운항선박 관련 기술개발이 전 세계적으로 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나, 통신, 사이버 보안, 긴급대처능력 등 기술적으로 해결되지 못한 문제들이 아직 많이 남아있기 때문에, 자율운항선박이 상용화되기까지는 많은 시간이 필요할 것으로 예상된다. 이 연구에서는 기술적으로 완전하지 않은 자율운항선박의 대체 방안으로 한 척의 리더 선박과 여러 척의 추종 선박을 하나의 그룹으로 묶어 항해하는 선박 그룹항해시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템에서는 리더 선박이 항행을 개시하면 추종 선박은 리더 선박의 항행 경로를 자율적으로 추종하며, 경로 추종을 위해 PD 제어를 적용하였다. 또한, 각 선박들은 충돌방지를 위해 안전거리를 유지하면서 일직선 형태로 항해한다. 선박 간의 안전거리유지는 속력 제어를 통해 구현된다. 선박 그룹항해시스템의 유효성을 검증하기 위해 시뮬레이션을 수행하였다. 시뮬레이션에 사용된 선박은 관련 데이터가 공개되어 있는 KVLCC2의 L-7 모델이며, 선박조종운동에는 일본조선학회에서 제안한 MMG standard method를 사용하였다. 시뮬레이션 결과, 리더 선박은 미리 정해진 항로를 따라 항해하였으며, 추종 선박은 리더 선박의 경로를 따라 항해하였다. 세 척의 선박은 시뮬레이션 중 일직선 형태를 유지하였으며, 선박 간 안전거리를 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 선박 그룹항해시스템은 자율운항선박의 문제점들을 해소하는 항행시스템으로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Assessment of Safe Navigation Including the Effect of Ship-Ship Interaction in Restricted Waterways

  • This paper is mainly concerned with the assessment of safe navigation between ships moving each other in restricted waterways. The numerical simulation of manoeuvring motion was conducted parametrically to propose an appropriate safe speed and distance, which is required to avoid sea accident under the different conditions, such as ship-velocity ratios, ship-length ratios, separation and stagger between ships. As for the calculation parameters, the ratios of velocity difference between two ships were considered as 0.6, 1.2, 1.5 and the ones of ship-length difference were regarded were regarded as 0.5, 1.0, 1.18. From the inspection of this investigation, it indicates the following result. Firstly, the separation between ships is more needed for the small vessel, compared to the large vessel. Secondly, the lateral distance between ships is necessarily required for the velocity ration of 1.2, compared to the cases of 0.6 and 1.5. The manoeuvring characteristics based on this investigation will be very useful for keeping the safety of navigation from the practical point of ships design and traffic control in confined water.

추사파중을 항행하는 선박의 자동조타 시스템 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Automatic Steering System of Ships in Folowing Seas)

  • In the present study, irregular disturbances to ship dynamics is proposed, where irregular disturbances implying irregular wave and the fluctuating component of wind for the evaluation of automatic steering system of ship in following seas. Prediction method based on the principle of linear superposition. Irregular wave disturbances in following seas is calculated by frequency variation method. The mathematical model of each element of an automatic steering system is derived, which takes account of a few non-linear mechanisms. PD(Proportional-Derivative) controller and low-pass filter with a weather adjustment are adopted to modelling the characteristics of an autopilot. Performance index is introduced from the viewpoint of energy saving, which derived from the concept of energy loss on ship propulsion. Finally, the present methods are applied to two typical types of ship ; an ore carrier and a fishing boat. The various effects of control constants of autopilot on propulsive energy loss are investigated

  • 추사파 중에서 항행하는 선박은 여러 유형의 전복 사고 위험에 노출되어 있다. 추사파 중에서의 선체 거동을 규명하기 위해서는 먼저 추사파 중에서 항행하는 선박이 만나는 파도 즉, 만남파의 특성 규명이 필요하다. 이 만남파는 선박의 속도와 관련이 있으며, 본 연구에서는 해양파의 에너지 스펙트럼을 이용하여 만남파의 특성을 검토, 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 추사파 중에서 항행하는 선박이 만나는 파도는 실제 해양파보다 비교적 규칙적인 대파고가 된다는 것을 수치 계산 예를 통해서 규명하였다.
