  • Microbeam PIXE, often called micro-PIXE, is a powerful tool tot analyzing a wide range of elements for various samples, as well as, it has important applications of interest to the atmospheric science. In this study, qualitative elemental imagination for various atmospheric environmental species was attempted using micro-PIXE. Here, we present the results of an application of micro-PIXE to the study of atmospheric environment. The detailed spatial resolution of multiple elements lot various samples like individual ambient particles, individual raindrops, individual fog droplets, and individual snow crystals could be successfully achieved by scanning 2.6 MeV H+ micro beam (1-2 ${\mu}m$) accelerated by 3 MV single-end accelerator.

  • To understand whether Falling, which is one of the causes of injuries, occurs, various behavior recognition research is proceeding. However, in most research recognize only the fact that Falling has occurred and provide the service. As well as the occurrence of the Falling, the risk varies greatly based on the type of Falling and the situation before and after the Falling. Therefore, when Falling occurs, it is necessary to infer the user's current situation and provide appropriate services. In this paper, we propose to base on Fog Computing and Cloud Computing to design Context-aware System using analysis of behavior data and process sensor data in real-time. This system solved the problem of increase latency and server overload due to large capacity sensor data.

  • This study deals with the aging effect of EPDM, to understand the surface hydrophobicity mechanism and electrical characteristics due to UV irradiation and salt fog. A mini chamber was fabricated for this test. The specimen was subjected a specific aging cycle. With the result of various analysis methods and investigation, we could make a advanced understanding to the aging mechanism, like as the relationships of the surface morphology and surface electrical characteristics.

  • TFT-LCD process has two advantages as compared with the semiconductor-process. It is that cycle time is short and number of the final products are small. But it needs complicated inspection / assembly line to be treated manually and much higher labor costs in the TFT-LCD process. Also, It is necessary to build PICS(Production Information and Control System) which is automated and intelligent. In this paper, an automated process of LCD module assembly line that can increase productivity and reduce the cost of production to strengthen the competitiveness corresponding with global market is planned in comparison with its manual/semi-auto. It is noted that The automated line for COG$\sim$FOG process replacing with the existing facilities had the following effects; the productivity is increased to about 1.5 times and labor cost reduced 85%. In addition, whole assembly line can be short and simple.

  • Pocheon is a basin geographically, and the diffusion of air pollutants is very difficult. Thus, it is essential to consider the characteristics of geographical and weather conditions before industrial complex and various air pollution sources are developed in the area. It is recommended that Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) must be carried out before any action is taken. Constantly occurring fog in the Pocheon area absorbs large amounts of acidic gases, and it transformed into the secondary pollutants such as the salts of sulfate and nitrate. Fog, which occurs very often in Pocheon area, was analyzed for its acid components. Conversion from the gaseous sulfur dioxide into sulfate ion is relatively high, $86\~90\%$ while $68\~76\%$ of NOx is converted into nitrate ion form.

  • In this paper, aging characteristics of silicone rubber used for outdoor insulation have been investigated with regards to salt fog condition and heat aging effect. We look over the change of properties of silicone rubber in salt fog chamber with average leakage current monitoring for observing the transformation of surface degradation properties of silicone rubber with different ATH(alumina trihydrate, $Al_2O_3{\cdot}3H_2O$) filler contents. Surface resistivity, SEM(Scanning Electro Microscope) were measured.

Moreover, it has important applications of interest to the atmospheric science. In the present study, a qualitative elemental imagination for various atmospheric environmental species was attempted using micro-PIXE. Especially, in combination with a novel individual droplet collection method and the micro-PIXE analytical technique, the chemical specification of various individual atmospheric samples could be carried out. Here, we briefly introduce the results of an application of micro-PIXE to the study of atmospheric environment. The detailed spatial resolution of multiple elements for various samples like individual ambient particles, individual raindrops, individual fog droplets, and individual snow crystals could be successfully achieved by scanning 2.6 MeV $H^+$ micro beam ($1{\sim}2{\mu}m$) accelerated by 3 MeV single-end accelerator.

  • For four calender years (1971-1974), daily observations of weather conditions (air temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, cloud amount, fog, precipitation etc.) at six stations in the north western Pacific Ocean are used to calculate mean monthly values and to check extra-conditions. At Petropavlosk and Miko'skoe, where indicate the characteristics of modified continental climate, the temperature and humidity are high in summer, and Iow in winter. At A Dak and She Mya, where indicate the characteristics of warm current type maritime climate, humidity is high in all season and annual range of air temperature is nearly negligible. At Simusir and Vasi!' eva, where indicate the characteristics of cold current type maritime climate, humidity is high in all season and annual range of air temperature is $15^{\circ}C.$ As dry cooling power is relatively high in winter, working condition on deck is bad. Most of fogs are advection fog in the area of cold current type climate in summer.

  • In this study, the correlation between leakage currents and temperature rise was investigated for the more accurate diagnosis of bad insulator by use of the infrared camera. For the purpose, leakage currents and thermal images were measured for the artificially aged insulators using salt fog. From the results, it is concluded as follows ; in case of artificially aged insulators, the leakage. current was decreased with the duration of voltage application and was largely affected by humidity, which seems due to ionic conduction. Also, the correlation between temperature rise and leakage current was appeared to be quite linear, although it showed below linearity at large leakage current.

  • In this study, we investigated the electrical characteristics of silicone rubber that being used outdoor insulating material, which had been immersed in salt water. After immersed the sample in salt water, we measured surface hydrophobicity, weight loss and microscopic surface appearance, and then compared with these of the original. And we tested the electrical characteristics of the aged sample by the water under salt-fog. These electrical characteristics are described by the average of leakage current, peak pulse number, which are recorded by data acquisition system The experimental results show that the resistance against tracking and erosion is decreased significantly by water penetration.
