In this paper, an hybrid automatic focusing method has been proposed for speedy and reliable measurement and inspection in industry. It can improve reliability of focusing position by using not a focusing measure but the hybrid one that is incorporated with sobel operator and auto-correlation. Also, it can not only reduce control time of focusing position using adaptive step size, but also improve accuracy of focusing position by gaussian interpolation. Its performance is verified by experiments. It is expected that it can apply to optical system for measurement and inspection in industry fields.

This article explored 9 EFL learners' emotional reactions they experienced in order to locate sources of EFL apprehension in university-based classroom settings. As part of further establishing construct validity of the measure (the FLPAS) Kim (2002) developed, lengthy interviews were adopted with focus on sources of discomfort with a variety of forms of language learning tasks. Findings showed that the interviewees confirmed most of the statements in the measuring tool, thereby increasing the trustworthiness of the measure. Specifically, the following themes or categories emanated from the analysis of interview data: (a) anxiety about performance in EFL classrooms; (b) EFL anxiety or discomfort about difficulties with cultural understanding; and (c) EFL anxiety induced by instructor and instruction.

Kernel machines are used widely in real-world regression tasks. Kernel ridge regressions(KRR) and support vector machines(SVM) are typical kernel machines. Here, we focus on two types of KRR. One is inductive KRR. The other is transductive KRR. In this paper, we study how differently they work in the interpolation and extrapolation areas. Furthermore, we study prediction interval estimation method for KRR. This turns out to be a reliable and practical measure of prediction interval and is essential in real-world tasks.

The physiological change of eyes while viewing 3D TV was investigated. The change of pupil size was used as the measure of evaluation. The results are as follows: (1) The pupil size decreases after viewing 3D images. (2) The indoor illumination has a significant effect on the pupil size in both 2D and 3D cases. (3) Less change of pupil size were observed under the indoor illumination. Thus, if we only focus on the visual load on the eye, for viewing 3D images, it will be better to use indoor illumination.

The objective of this research is to develop a manufacturability measurement model for process and material screening. The process and material screening is the key requirement for implementing the Design for Manufacturability (Concurrent Engineering). A computerized system realizing this model then is developed to aid designers. Identification of the key factors which influence technical manufacturability, decision variables and their characteristics, conceptual framework for implementing the model are suggested. Manufacturability measure for quantifying the consistency of between the product requirements and the manufacturing capability is important contribution of this research. The focus is on net shape manufacturing process such as diecasting, forging, metal forming and injection molding.

This paper provides a framework for evaluating business information systems. The framework identifies three evaluation domains: IS business value, IS expenses, and IS functionality. Discussions of each category encompass what to be measured, how to measure, and how to judge the measured value. Then, the framework classifies three categories of individual information systems based on IS life cycle: industry-common, industry-similar, and firm-specific. This categorization is used to match the role of an individual system with the focus of evaluation efforts. The framework can contribute to the systematic design of evaluation programs for business information systems.

In tins paper, we outlines the pricing concept that developed over the years, and illustrates how these rules apply in practice using railway fare, price discrimination in railway travel. We review tile prospective solution of rail fare system reflecting the customer need on the decision making and consider fare design structure. Specifically, we focus on the price range using the PSM(price sensitivity measure). And set up the framework for fare structure design.

This study aims to draw up comprehensive ethical management practices so that companies can be reborn as high-quality companies not only at the level of management efficiency but also at the level of corporate integrity. -The main focus of in this study is as follows: To curb corrupt practices in the corporate sector, it is necessary to strengthen the monitoring function and accountability system of audits (internal audits, full-time audits, audit committees, external audits). In order for these system improvements to be made reliably, it is necessary to periodically measure and evaluate employee satisfaction with the overall personnel system.

There are a method to analyze reactions or psychological condition and a method to observe visitor's behavioral reaction as methods to measure and evaluate humans' recognition behavior reaction of humans. The measure of the eye movement as a method to living body's reaction and psychological condition has an advantage to measure the information acceptance reaction of view recognition of the stimulus of view composition factors which has been used since a long time ago in other research areas, but almost not studies have been made on the exhibition views in museums. Therefore, on the premise of such recognition, this study aimed at obtaining various types of information through vision angles of visitor in exhibition space of an museum and judging space information, at measuring the condition of information acceptance through attention experiments and observation investigation of and finding out the disposition and characteristics so as to verify the relationship between the exhibition space and exhibition Method.
