$CO_2$ 환경하에서 접촉 표면에 적용한 마이크로 딤플 패턴이 마찰 및 마멸에 미치는 영향 연구 (Friction and Wear Characteristics of the Micro-dimple Surfaces in Rotary Compressor with Carbon Dioxide as Refrigerants)

  • Due to the environmental concerns, especially the greenhouse effect and GWP (Global Warming Potential), the carbon dioxide was investigated as an alternative natural refrigerant to replace HFCs (HydroFluoroCarbons) in refrigerator or air conditioning systems. Because new compressor with carbon dioxide is going to be operated under the high pressure, the tribology of sliding surfaces in the compressor becomes very important. To improve of wear resistance in compressor parts, especially rotary type, the friction and wear characteristics of improved sliding surfaces between vane and flange were evaluated in this paper. The method of reformed sliding surface, such as micro-dimple processes, was applied on surfaces in order to improve the tribological characteristics, and their performances were evaluated experimentally. The vane-on-flange type lubricated sliding tests were performed with a high pressure wear tester using carbon dioxide. Test results showed that the reformed surfaces were very effective to reduce the friction and the wear amounts of vane surfaces. The method of improved surfaces showed good tribological properties at vane and flange.

  • Anti cancer agent 5-FU (Fluoro Uracil) is a prodrug that can be metabolized and then activated to interfere with RNA and DNA homeostasis. However, the majority of administered 5-FU is known to be catabolized in vivo in the liver where Dihydropyrimidine dehydrogenase (DPD) is abundantly expressed to degrade 5-FU. The biological factors that correlate with the response to 5-FU-based chemotherapy have been proposed to include uridine phosphorylase (UPP), thymidine phosphorylase (TPP), p53 and microsatellite instability. Among these, the expression of UPP is known to be controlled by cytokines such as $TNF-{\alpha}$, IL1 and $IFN-{\gamma}$. Our preliminary study using a DNA microarray technique showed that basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) markedly induced the expression of UPP1 at the transcription level. In the present study, we investigated whether bFGF could modulate the expression of UPP1 in osteo-lineage cells and examined the sensitivity of these cells to 5-FU mediated apoptosis.

시간흐름에 따른 18F-FDG PET/CT의 영상 분석 (The analysis of 18F-FDG PET/CT Images According to the Time Flow)

  • 양전자 방출단층 촬영은 $^{18}F$-FDG 주사하고 1시간 후에 촬영한다. 하지만 장비의 결함 또는 예상하지 못한 상황으로 2-3시간정도 경과되어 촬영을 하는 경우가 발생한다. 이에 시간 흐름에 따라 획득된 영상에서 체내 부위별 표준화 섭취계수를 측정하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 정상기관 중 정상부위는 간(간우엽 중앙부), 지방(좌측 둔부), 폐(우측 상엽부), 대동맥(상행 대동맥)의 경우는 지연영상에서 크고 작은 감소가 나타났으며, 정상부위 중 유일하게 뼈(제 5요추 체부)에서 ${\Delta}$SUVmax 37%의 증가가 나타났다. 병소부위는 시간의 흐름에 따라 증가함을 보였으며 ${\Delta}$SUVmax는 37.6%증가로 나타났으며 병소의 섭취증가와 정상부위 섭취감소로 대조도의 차이가 커짐을 알 수 있었다.

엽록체내 Protoporphyrin IX(PPIX) 생합성계에서 S-23142의 작용기구 (Action Mechanism of S-23142 on the PPIX Biosynthesis System of Spinacia oleracea L. Chloroplast)

  • In vitro 조건에서 protoporphyrin IX(PPIX) 생합성에 미치는 제초제 S-23142와 acifluorfen의 영향을 알아보고자 시금치잎에서 엽록체내의 stroma와 membrane을 분리, 분획하고 형 광검출기가 장착된 역상HPLC를 이용하여 생합성된 PPIX 함량용 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. PPIX의 생합성이 이루어지는 부위는 엽록체 내의 stroma분획이었고 이는 모두 ALA(${\delta}$-aminolevulinic acid)에 의한 반응산물이었다. 2. PPIX의 생합성에 관련된 in vitro실험은 stroma분획을 이용하는 것이 가장 효율적이었다. 3. In vitro계에서 S-23142와 acifluorfen은 동일하게 PPIX의 생합성을 억제하였으며, 그 작용부위는 엽록체내의 stroma일 것으로 판단되었다.

Effect of Lithospermi Radix on Contact Dermatitis Induced by Dinitrofluorobenzene in Mice

  • Objectives: The root of Lithospermum erythrorhizon Sieb. et Zucc. (Lithospermi Radix, LR) is a kind of heat clearing and blood cooling medicinal herbs. It can clear away heat and cool the blood, reduce toxins and disperse maculae. LR has long been used as efficacious therapy for inflammation, burns, frostbite and skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis. Methods: In the present study, we investigate anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory effects of LR by using the 1-fluoro-2, 4- dinitrofluorobenzene (DNFB)-induced contact dermatitis mouse model. Results: Topical application of 10 mg/mL of LR effectively inhibited skin lesions induced by repeated paintings with DNFB. Topical application of LR also inhibited hyperplasia, edema, spongiosis and infiltrations of mononuclear cells. In addition, production levels of total immunoglobulin and IgG1 in serum were decreased by using LR in vivo. Conclusions: These data suggest that LR acts as an antiinflammatory agent, improving skin lesions in CD mice.

에폭시 복합체의 난연 특성에 미치는 불소화 일라이트의 영향 (Influence of Fluoro-illite on Flame Retardant Property of Epoxy Complex)

  • 본 연구는 에폭시의 난연 특성을 향상시키기 위하여 친환경, 저가, 고종횡비(high aspect ratio)를 갖는 무기계 난연첨가재인 일라이트를 사용하였고, 친수성 일라이트의 소수성 에폭시 내 분산 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 불소화 반응을 이용하여 인의 소수화 개질을 실시하였다. 일라이트의 불소화 개질에 의하여 경화 전 에폭시 용액 내에서 일라이트의 분산성 및 경화 후 형성된 복합체 내에서의 일라이트 분산성도 향상되었다. 이러한 분산성의 향상은 일라이트 불소화 개질로 인하여 소수화된 일라이트의 에폭시 용액에 대한 친화성 향상과 복합체 형성 시 에폭시 고분자의 일라이트 층간 삽입 혹은 에폭시에 의한 일라이트의 박리현상 등에 의하여 나타난 현상으로 판단된다. 따라서, 한계 산소 지수(limited oxygen index, LOI)는 일라이트의 불소화 영향으로 에폭시만의 값에 비해 약 24% 정도 증가한 것으로 보아 불소화 일라이트/에폭시 복합제의 제조로 에폭시의 난연 특성을 향상시킬 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Synthesis and Photovoltaic Properties of Copolymer Containing Fused Donor and Difluoroquinoxaline Moieties

  • We report synthesis and photovoltaic properties of two new conjugated copolymers, PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF, with 6,7-difluoro-2,3-dihexylquinoxaline unit prepared by Stille coupling reaction. The advantage of 6,7-difluoro-2,3-dihexylquinoxaline based copolymer are high PCEs due to lower HOMO energy level, long wavelength absorption and high hole mobility. The solid films of PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF showed absorption bands with maximum peaks at about 623 and 493 nm and the absorption onsets at 711 and 635 nm, corresponding to band gaps of 1.74 and 1.95 eV, respectively. The oxidation onsets of the PCPDTQxF and PDTSQxF polymers were estimated to be 0.68 and 0.95 V, which correspond to HOMO energy levels of -5.48 and -5.75 eV, respectively. The PDTSQxF has lower HOMO energy level as compared to PCPDTQxF to lead higher $V_{OC}$ value. The device comprising PCPDTQxF:PCBM (1:2) dissolved to a concentration of 1 wt % in ODCB showed $V_{OC}$ value of 0.62 V, $J_{SC}$ value of $1.14mA/cm^2$, and FF of 0.35, which yielded PCE of 0.25%.

  • <디메칠호롬아마이드> 溶媒系에서 有機含할로겐化合物을 弗化加里와 反應시켜 본 結果 $CF_3COOH,\;C_3F_7COOH,\;C_2F_5COOH$와 같은 含弗素有機酸에서는 脫炭酸反應이 일어나며, 含鹽素有機酸, $CH_2ClCOOH,\; CH_3CHClCOOH,\;CHCl_2COOH $$o-Cl-C_6H_4COOH$은 一部 弗化反應이 일어나고 雙合(dimerization) 反應이 隨伴된다는 것을 究明하였다. 芳香族할라이드類에서는 反應度를 나타내지 않았으나 芳香環에 誘電子置換基가 두個있는 試藥에서는 主로 雙合反應을 일으켰다. 알콜 및 에스테르類는 通常的인 弗化反應을 잘 일으켰다. 같은 反應을 溶媒 使用치 않고 高溫에서 進行시켜 본 結果 雙合反應物의 收率을 增加시켰고 $o-ClC_6H_4COOH$에서는 環化物(fluorenone)을 少量生成하였다. 反應段階中의 各 試藥의 消耗및 生成에 對한 化學量的關系를 比較檢討한 結果 酸의 反應에서는 普通 脫炭酸反應보다 弗化反應이 優先 進行됨을 究明하였다. 弗化加里의 反應觸發作用및 反應機構에 關하여서는 論議하였다.

  • 벼와 피의 속간(屬間) 선택성(選擇性)을 구명(究明)하기 위하여 제초제(除草除) cyhalofop-BE에 대(對)한 해부학적(解剖學的) 검경(檢鏡)을 통해 생장점(生長點)에 미친 영향(影響)을 조사(調査)한 결과(結果)는 다음과 같다. Cyhalofop-butyl ester 180ppm을 벼와 피에 처리시(處理時) 생장점(生長點)의 분제조직(分製組織) 저해(沮害) 양상(樣相)은 매우 유사(類似)하나 벼는 아주 경미(輕微)한 저해(沮害)를 보인 반면 피는 세포(細胞)의 분제(分製)이 억제(柳制)되고 배열(配列)이 불규칙(不規則)해지며 크게 위축(萎縮)되는 현상(現狀)을 보였다.

Genistein attenuates isoflurane-induced neurotoxicity and improves impaired spatial learning and memory by regulating cAMP/CREB and BDNF-TrkB-PI3K/Akt signaling

  • Anesthetics are used extensively in surgeries and related procedures to prevent pain. However, there is some concern regarding neuronal degeneration and cognitive deficits arising from regular anesthetic exposure. Recent studies have indicated that brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and cyclic AMP response element-binding protein (CREB) are involved in learning and memory processes. Genistein, a plant-derived isoflavone, has been shown to exhibit neuroprotective effects. The present study was performed to examine the protective effect of genistein against isoflurane-induced neurotoxicity in rats. Neonatal rats were exposed to isoflurane (0.75%, 6 hours) on postnatal day 7 (P7). Separate groups of rat pups were orally administered genistein at doses of 20, 40, or 80 mg/kg body weight from P3 to P15 and then exposed to isoflurane anesthesia on P7. Neuronal apoptosis was detected by TUNEL assay and FluoroJade B staining following isoflurane exposure. Genistein significantly reduced apoptosis in the hippocampus, reduced the expression of proapoptotic factors (Bad, Bax, and cleaved caspase-3), and increased the expression of Bcl-2 and Bcl-xL. RT-PCR analysis revealed enhanced BDNF and TrkB mRNA levels. Genistein effectively upregulated cAMP levels and phosphorylation of CREB and TrkB, leading to activation of cAMP/CREB-BDNF-TrkB signaling. PI3K/Akt signaling was also significantly activated. Genistein administration improved general behavior and enhanced learning and memory in the rats. These observations suggest that genistein exerts neuroprotective effects by suppressing isoflurane-induced neuronal apoptosis and by activating cAMP/CREB-BDNF-TrkB-PI3/Akt signaling.
