  • A ship's propulsion system is a device to move the ship by means of the power transmitted from the ship's engine to the propeller. In this study, three propeller models, a, b, and c, are designed and their flows are analyzed. Same flows with the same material are applied to all three models. Flow analysis results differ according to the shape of flow model though these models are the same material. In all respects, model C is considered to be more rigid and efficient than models A and B. A propeller model optimized for the driving force and stability can be developed through this study result.

  • Mobile games have become one of the most important driving forces of the game industry. We focus on the continuous intention to use Chinese mobile games from the perspective of experiential marketing and network externalities. We integrate user experience, network externalities and flow theory into expectation confirmation model and explore the influencing factors of continuous usage intention of Chinese mobile game and propose a research model. Game experience, service experience, perceived enjoyment, social interaction, challenge, perceived number of users and perceived number of peers were employed as independent variables, while flow, perceived value and satisfaction as mediating variables and continuous intention as the dependent variable. After surveying 426 samples, the model is tested with structural equation model. The results reveal that perceived enjoyment significantly positively influences perceived value, flow, satisfaction, and continuous intention. The greater the enjoyment of the game, the greater the satisfaction of the game and the greater the willingness to use it continuously. Game experience has a significant direct effect on continuous intention, which indicates that a better game experience can retain more users. Service experience and perceive number of peers positively influence satisfaction. Another finding is that social interaction and perceived number of users positively influence perceived value and flow, which indicate that social attributes are critical roles for retaining users. Game challenge also positively influences flow. The proper level of challenge is more likely to cause users to enter the state of flow. Flow indirectly influences continuous usage intention through the satisfaction of the game, which indicates that satisfaction is driven by flow experience and further retaining users. Empirical results implied that mobile game companies need to focus on improving user experience, expectation satisfaction and extending network externalities to improve the continuous intention of using mobile game.

  • The flow through a centrifugal compressor impeller was calculated using the 3-dimensional Navier-Stokes solution method. A control volume method based on a rotating curvilinear coordinate system was used to solve the time-averaged Navier-Stokes equations, and a standard k-.epsilon. model was used to obtain eddy viscosity. Numerical results and experimental data were compared for the overall performance of the impeller, the pressure distributions along the shroud wall and the detailed flowfields at the design and off-design conditions, which showed good coincidence. The flow through the impeller is complex with the curvature of the streamlines and rotation. The development of secondary flows and the jet-wake flow characteristics, which is the main source of flow loss, was discussed. Calculation results show quite different patterns as the flow rate changes.

  • The simulation results of final closing by the developed model considering the flows through tide embankment of non-Darcy and through sluice gate agree well to the observed data which shows the model applicability. In comparative analysis with observed data, the simulation results by Homma(1958) are more accurate than those by Na(1987). The free flow equation with discharge coefficient, regardless of free or submerged flows, by Na based on the submergence ratio is applicable to the engineering practices. Because two simulated discharges are greater than the actual one, the correction of discharge coefficients reflecting the irregular section of actual closing gap situation is necessary. In the hydraulic analysis of final closing, the flow through tide embankment has been generally analysed by Darcy. Hydraulic analysis by the correct discharge through tide embankment of non-Darcy flow is necessary, because the ratio between flows through tide embankment and closing gap is relatively great at final closing.

  • This study identified the characteristic and meaning of flow experience through the experiences related to fashion models' role performance; subsequently, the following findings were obtained. First, fashion models' flow experience could be divided into characteristics such as temporality, spatiality, relationality, physicalness and pleasure. Second, the process of this flow experience ultimately led to the complete moment. The complete moment can be said to be the aesthetic experience that provides both the meaningful experience and the aesthetic pleasure; it is the experiential knowledge at the dimension of mysterious integration that their body and mind are integrated into one. The beauty that fashion models exercise at the aspect of this aesthetic experience is that of performance and is an individual physical movement where they perceive their role and exercise their inner ability to express their costume most beautifully. Accordingly, the beauty of performance can be said to mean that the fashion show was successfully held by inducing both the performer and the audience into an aesthetic response. The process of specialized planning and preparation is required for fashion models to exercise the beauty of performance at the complete movement reached through flow experience and a successful fashion show. Diverse elements of the fashion show should be more organically constituted through such a process. Fashion models should exert efforts to embody acts such as walking, posing and turning through the performance of their excellent role as well as develop a training program to complete it.

  • This study examines the flows near the different side mirrors by analyzing the flow due to air resistance at A, B and C models of automotive side mirrors. Model A is a square-shaped side-mirror. Model B is a triangular side-mirror and model C is an oval-shaped side-mirror. The air resistance of the side-mirror while driving is reduced and the automotive power can be reduced by changing the design of automotive side-mirror. As analysis result, as the pressure of air resistance against side mirror becomes larger, it can be seen that the air flow rate becomes great. Therefore, it can be estimated that the smaller the pressure of air resistance, the smaller the flow rate and the better the air flow. Therefore, it can be acknowledged that model B is the best model. As the design data of the automotive side mirror obtained on the basis of this study result are utilized, the esthetic sense can be shown while driving a car at real life.

  • The turbulent heat transfer to low Prandtl number fluid flow through rod bundles is analyzed using k-$\varepsilon$ two-equation model. For the prediction of the turbulent flow field, an anisotropic eddy viscosity model is used. In the analysis of the temperature field, the effects of various parameters such as geometry, Reynolds and Prandtl numbers are considered. The calculation in made for Prandtl numbers from 0.001 to 0.1 in order to analyze the heat transfer to low Prandtl number fluid such as liquid metals. The numerical results show that for small P/D (Pitch/Diameter) geometries low Prandtl number makes severe changes of the rod surface temperature.

  • Dispersion of coolant jets in a film cooling flow field is the result of a highly complex interaction between the film cooling jets and the mainstream. In order to investigate the effect of blowing ratios on the film cooling of turbine blade, cylindrical body model was used. Mainstream Reynolds number based on the cylinder diameter was $7.1\;\times\;10^4$. The free-stream turbulence intensity kept at $5.0\%$ by using turbulence grid. The effect of coolant flow rates was studied for blowing ratios of 0.9, 1.3 and 1.6, respectively. The temperature distribution of the cylindrical model surface is visualized by infrared thermography (IRT). Results show that the film-cooling performance may be significantly improved by controlling the blowing ratio. As blowing ratio increases, the adiabatic film cooling effectiveness is more broadly distributed and the area protected by coolant increases. The mass flow rate of the coolant through the first-row holes is less than that through the second-row holes due to the pressure variation around the cylinder surface.

  • The purpose of this study was to understand the factors with consumers' fashion experiential store experiences and investigate the effect on flow and brand attitude. The study also aimed to investigate whether gender moderated the relationship between consumers' fashion experiential store experiences and flow. An online survey of consumers in their 20s and 40s was conducted. The SPSS 27.0 program was used to perform frequency, factor, and reliability analysis. The structural equation model was analyzed using the SMART-PLS program. The structural model analysis confirmed that consumers' rational, physical, and relational experiences in fashion brand experiential stores strongly influenced flow and found that relational experience had the strongest influence on flow. The influence of rational, physical, and relational experiences and flow on brand attitude was confirmed, where flow had the strongest effect on brand attitude. The examination of the moderating effect of gender on the relationship between consumers' fashion experiential store experiences and flow found that the effect in men was significant for flow and brand attitude through rational experience and that the effect in women was significant for flow and brand attitude through relational experience. These results provide academic implications, and by strengthening consumer flow, we intend to propose the establishment of a marketing strategy and opportunity plan that can elicit a positive brand attitude.

  • This study presents an in-vitro model designed to simulate mitral valve regurgitation, aiming to compare the quantification results between Proximal Isovelocity Surface Area(PISA) and 4D Flow MRI on both fixed and valve annulus tracking(VAT) views. The in-vitro model replicates the dynamic conditions of the mitral valve in a pulsatile environment, utilizing a piston pump set at 60 bpm. Through systematic experiments and analysis, the study evaluates the accuracy and effectiveness of PISA and 4D Flow MRI in assessing regurgitation severity, considering both fixed and valve annulus tracking. The displacement length measured in echo closely resembled that of optical measurements, making it advantageous for structural analysis. VAT-4D flow MRI exhibited the smallest deviation from actual flow rate values, establishing it as most accurate method for quantitative regurgitation assessment.
