3차원 미세 구조물 제작을 위한 폴리머 유동 모델의 적용 (Application of the Polymer Behavior Model to 3D Structure Fabrication)

  • This study presents the application of a polymer behavior model that considers fluid mechanics and heat transfer effects in a deposition system. The analysis of the polymer fluid properties is very important in the fabrication of precise microstructures. This fluid behavior model involves the calculation of velocity distribution and mass flow rates that include the effect of heat loss in the needle. The effectiveness of the proposed method was demonstrated by comparing estimated mass fluid rates with experimental values. The mass fluid rates under various process conditions, such as pressure, temperature, and needle size, reflected the actual deposition state relatively well, and the assumption that molten polycaprolactone(PCL) is a non-Newtonian fluid was reasonable. The successful fabrication of three-dimensional microstructures demonstrated that the model is valid for predicting the polymer behavior characteristics in the microstructure fabrication process. The results of this study can be used to investigate the effect of various parameters on fabricated structures before turning to experimental approaches.

  • Relational Database Management Systems have become de facto database model among most developers and users since the inception of Data Science. From IoT devices, sensors, social media and other sources, data is generated in structured, semi-structured and unstructured formats, in huge volumes, thereby the difficulty of data management greatly increases. Organizations that collect large amounts of data are increasingly turning to non relational databases - NoSQL databases. In this paper, through experiments with real field data, we demonstrate that MongoDB, a document-based NoSQL database, is a better alternative for building a Telco Subscriber Data Management System which hitherto is mainly built with Relational Database Management Systems. We compare the existing system in various phases of data flow with our proposed system powered by MongoDB. We show how various workloads at some phases of the existing system were either completely removed or significantly simplified on the new system. Based on experiment results, using MongoDB for managing telco subscriber data turned out to offer performance better than the existing system built with MSSQL Server.

  • The Olin Library in St. Louis was an important design competition for the United States in the 1950's, the rear of America's modern architecture. The participants of this competition were a variety of representative architects and groups of its time. With the library's functional rationality, the Olin Library competition was legible of the aspects of modern architectural flow. The competition required two demands. The first demand was absolute importance in character definition of place, which was to satisfy the site conditions approached from campus design. Secondly was related to interpretation of morphological symbolism in an architectural matter. The experiments of American modern architecture started to change its ideal goal gradually ; accommodating the altering public's code, at the same time, maintaining the original modern value was the reason to changing the ideal goal. As a turning point, the Olin Library should be understood as an important work, which divulged the value change of architectural interpretation.

  • In Pusan Harbour, new port development projects are implemented such as the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal, Pusan New Port, the Nary $\infty$ piers, etc. which will require new marine traffic environments in the Passage I of Pusan Harbour Specially, the turning basin of the Extended Terminal adjacent to the Gamman Terminal gas been designed to overlay the Passage I of Pusan Harbour, Which will interrupt the inbound traffic flow and the results will be worried to decrease the efficiency of port operation. Therefore, this paper will be aimed to evaluate the traffic congestion in the Pusan Passage I due to the opening of new ports within Pusan Harbour in 2006 and 2011 by using computer simulation based the queueing theory.

Impact of EVFTA on Trade Flows of Fruits between Vietnam and the EU

  • The European Union Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) took effect on August 1 paving the way for increased trade between the EU and Vietnam; this marked a huge turning point for the Vietnamese economy. Agriculture products, especially fruits, must be listed when it comes to Vietnam export industries that profit the most from EVFTA. After a period of study, with the desire to contribute to the improvement in the efficiency of Vietnam's agricultural products to the EU, the researchers want to assess the impact of the EVFTA on the flows of Vietnamese fruits to the EU market. The study uses a quantitative analysis method via the WITS-SMART model with data on export turnover and tariff reductions in parallel with the analysis of changes in factors affecting the trade flows of fruits between the two markets when the EVFTA takes effect. As a result, Vietnam's fruit importing from the EU is expected to escalate by 29.18% in 2021, while the flow of export will only inch up by 0.955%, which is rather low compare to the increase in import value. Hence, effective policies must be introduced in Vietnam to innovate production methods and increase product quality, so that the EVFTA can be used to boost Vietnam's fruit exports to the EU.

종횡비가 큰 이차유로에서 냉각성능 향상을 위한 요철배열 연구 (Numerical Study of the Rib Arrangements for Enhancing Heat Transfer in a Two-pass Channel of Large Aspect Ratio)

  • 터빈 블레이드의 내부냉각 설계 강화를 위해 설치된 경사요철과 가이드 베인에 대한 연구를 진행하였다. 채널의 입구로 들어오는 공기와 요철이 만나는 각도를 기준으로, 서로 상반된 두 가지 요철배열을 전연면과 후연면에 평행하게 배치하였다. 채널의 종횡비(AR)는 5:1이고, 요철의 각도는 $60^{\circ}$, 요철의 높이와 요철간 간격 비($e/D_h$)는 0.075이다. 레이놀즈 수는 10,000으로 고정하였다. 요철배열에 따른 2차 유동과 딘 와류의 상호작용이 곡관부와 전체 채널의 열전달 결과와 유동특성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 확인할 수 있었다. 결론적으로 첫 번째 유로의 요철배열이 팁 면의 열전달 분포에 지배적인 요인이며, 곡관부에서 유동의 분포에도 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 U자 형상 가이드 베인을 사용하였을 때 모든 요철에서 팁 면의 열전달 값이 상승하였으며, 특히 공기와 요철의 충돌각도가 양의각도일 때 가장 높은 냉각성능계수를 보였다.

부력의 영향을 최소화한 조건에서 대향류 확산화염의 화염 소화에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Flame Extinction in Buoyancy-minimized Counterflow Diffusion Flame)

  • Experiments were conducted to clarify role of the outermost edge flame on low-strain-rate flame extinction in buoyancy-suppressed non-premixed methane flames diluted with He and $N_2$. The use of He curtain flow produced a microgravity level of $10^{-2}-10^{-3}g$ in $N_2$- and He-diluted non-premixed counterflow flame experiments. The critical He and $N_2$ mole fractions at extinction with a global strain rate were examined at various burner diameters (10, 20, and 25 mm). The results showed that the extinction curves differed appreciably with burner diameter. Before the turning point along the extinction curve, low-strain-rate flames were extinguished via shrinkage of the outermost edge flame with and without self-excitation. High-strain-rate flames were extinguished via a flame hole while the outermost edge flame was stationary. These characteristics could be identified by the behavior of the outermost edge flame. The results also showed that the outermost edge flame was not influenced by radiative heat loss but by convective heat addition and conductive heat losses to the ambient He curtain flow. The numerical results were discussed in detail. The self-excitation before the extinction of a low-strain-rate flame was well described by a dependency of the Strouhal number on global strain rate and normalized nozzle exit velocity.

BCl3 평판형 유도결합 플라즈마를 이용한 GaAs 건식식각 (Dry Etching of GaAs in a Planar Inductively Coupled BCl3 Plasma)

  • We studied BCl$_3$ dry etching of GaAs in a planar inductively coupled plasma system. The investigated process parameters were planar ICP source power, chamber pressure, RIE chuck power and gas flow rate. The ICP source power was varied from 0 to 500 W. Chamber pressure, RIE chuck power and gas flow rate were controlled from 5 to 15 mTorr, 0 to 150 W and 10 to 40 sccm, respectively. We found that a process condition at 20 sccm $BCl_3$ 300 W ICP, 100 W RIE and 7.5 mTorr chamber pressure gave an excellent etch result. The etched GaAs feature depicted extremely smooth surface (RMS roughness < 1 nm), vertical sidewall, relatively fast etch rate (> $3000\AA$/min) and good selectivity to a photoresist (> 3 : 1). XPS study indicated a very clean surface of the material after dry etching of GaAs. We also noticed that our planar ICP source was successfully ignited both with and without RIE chuck power, which was generally not the case with a typical cylindrical ICP source, where assistance of RIE chuck power was required for turning on a plasma and maintaining it. It demonstrated that the planar ICP source could be a very versatile tool for advanced dry etching of damage-sensitive compound semiconductors.

  • 도로이동 오염원 대기환경 빅데이터는 상시 교통량 조사장비인 AVC, VDS, WIM, DTG를 활용한 차종, 속도, 하중 등 실시간 교통류 데이터와 GIS를 활용한 도로형상(오르막, 내리막, 회전구간) 데이터를 연계한 교통류 데이터로 구성되어 있다. 또한, 일반적인 데이터와 달리 단위시간 당 데이터가 많이 발생하고, 다양한 포맷을 가지고 있다. 특히, 이들 상세 교통류 정보로 수집되는 대용량의 실시간 데이터들은 약 총 740만 건/시간 이상이 수집되어 저장 및 가공되기 때문에 효율적으로 데이터를 처리할 수 있는 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 도로이동 오염뭔 대기환경 빅데이터 시각화를 위한 오픈소스 기반의 데이터 병렬처리 성능 최적화 연구를 수행한다.
