불규칙파 중에서 돌핀 계류된 해상공항에 대한 운동 (Motion Analyses for a Very Large Floating Structure with Dolphin Mooring Systems in Irregular Waves)

  • 초대형 해상 공항은 길이나 폭이 수 킬로미터인 거대 구조물이며, 해상에 계류된 해상공항의 설계에 있어 파도에 의한 1차항 파강제력과 2차항 파강제력은 반드시 고려하여야 한다. 본 논문에서 파중에서 돌핀계류된 해상공항에 대한 운동응답의 시간영역해석이 제시된다. 운동방정식에서 동유체력 계수와 파도에 의한 힘은 주파수 영역의 3차원 패널 방법으로부터 계산되며, 동시에 돌핀계류계에 대한 계류력과 수평방향의 표류력이 본 계산에서 얻어진다. 본 논문의 계산 예로 일본에서 실증실험을 수행한 phase I 해상공항에 대해 불규칙파 중에서 시간영역 해석이 제시된다.

  • The motion and time-mean drift force of a 2-D floating BBDB in waves are studied with and without taking account of fluctuating air pressure in the air chamber. It has been found numerically that the drift for a of the BBDB is in the reverse direction of propagation of the incident waves over specific frequency ranges as found by McCormick through his experiment work. The drift force is calculated by Pinkster's near-field method. Since Maruo's formula method for the drift force is always positive, Maruo's formula is only approximate and should be replaced by the correct near-field method.

  • 본 논문에서는 보행속도, 주야간 인구변화, 보행경로에 따른 서비스 권역 등을 고려하여 대피시설 위치에 대한 적절성을 평가하고자 하였다. 보행속도는 선행연구사례를 통해서 1.6 m/s, 2.22 m/s를 정의하였고, 주야간 인구변화는 대시메트릭 매핑기법을 이용하여 인구를 추정하였다. 보행속도와 보행경도에 따른 대피시설 서비스 권역은 입지할당모형의 네트워크 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 시공간 유동인구 변화와 보행속도에 따라 일부 대피시설의 경우 수용능력에 한계가 있음을 알 수 있었고 이에 대한 대피시설 추가지정이 요구된다.

케터너리 제류 부유식 방파제 거동의 시간영성 해석 (Time Domain Analysis of the Motions of Catenary Moored Floating Breakwater)

  • 본 논문에서는 규칙 또는 불규칙파와 정상외력이 3차원적으로 복합되어 있는 외력조건에서 케터너리 계류부체의 6 자유도 운동변위 및 계류장력의 시계열을 계산하기 위한 시간영역해법을 제시하였다. 입사파낭의 무한대 주파수에 대한 부가질량계수, 그리고 파낭감쇠계수와 파낭강제력계수의 주파수에 대한 변화는 특리점분포법을 이용하여 결정하였으며, 이들 계수들을 이용하여 구성되는 시간영역에서의 운동방정식은 Wilson-$ heta$ 기법을 이용하여 해를 구하였다. 시간영역해법의 결과를 정상외력 조건에서 Newton 방법의 해와, 변동외력 조건에서 주파수영역해법의 결과와 각각 비교한 결과 이들이 서로 잘 일치함을 확인하였다. 아울러, 불규칙파 조건에서 일반적인 제원을 갖는 부유식 방파제를 설정하여 본 기법의 적용을 예시하였다.

Rotor-floater-mooring coupled dynamic analysis of mono-column-TLP-type FOWT (Floating Offshore Wind Turbine)

  • Increasing numbers of floating offshore wind turbines are planned and designed these days due to their high potential in massive generation of clean energy from water depth deeper than 50 m. In the present study, a numerical prediction tool has been developed for the fully-coupled dynamic analysis of FOWTs in time domain including aero-blade-tower dynamics and control, mooring dynamics, and platform motions. In particular, the focus of the present study is paid to the dynamic coupling between the rotor and floater and the coupled case is compared against the uncoupled case so that their dynamic coupling effects can be identified. For this purpose, a mono-column mini TLP with 1.5MW turbine for 80m water depth is selected as an example. The time histories and spectra of the FOWT motions and accelerations as well as tether top-tensions are presented for the given collinear wind-wave condition. When compared with the uncoupled analysis, both standard deviations and maximum values of the floater-responses/tower-accelerations and tether tensions are appreciably increased as a result of the rotor-floater dynamic coupling, which may influence the overall design including fatigue-life estimation especially when larger blades are to be used.

스위칭 손실을 줄인 1700 V 4H-SiC Double Trench MOSFET 구조 (A Novel 1700V 4H-SiC Double Trench MOSFET Structure for Low Switching Loss)

  • 본 논문에서는 CDT(Conventional Double Trench) MOSFET보다 스위칭 시간과 손실이 적은 1700 V EPDT(Extended P+ shielding floating gate Double Trench) MOSFET 구조를 제안하였다. 제안한 EPDT MOSFET 구조는 CDT MOSFET에서 소스 Trench의 P+ shielding 영역을 늘리고 게이트를 N+와 플로팅 P- 폴리실리콘 게이트로 나누었다. Sentaurus TCAD 시뮬레이션을 통해 두 구조를 비교한 결과 온 저항은 거의 차이가 없었으나 Crss(게이트-드레인 간 커패시턴스)는 게이트에 0 V 인가 시에는 CDT MOSFET 대비 32.54 % 줄었고 7 V 인가 시에는 65.5 % 감소하였다. 결과적으로 스위칭 시간 및 손실은 각각 45 %, 32.6 % 줄어 스위칭 특성이 크게 개선되었다.

Logic circuit design for high-speed computing of dynamic response in real-time hybrid simulation using FPGA-based system

  • One of the issues in extending the range of applicable problems of real-time hybrid simulation is the computation speed of the simulator when large-scale computational models with a large number of DOF are used. In this study, functionality of real-time dynamic simulation of MDOF systems is achieved by creating a logic circuit that performs the step-by-step numerical time integration of the equations of motion of the system. The designed logic circuit can be implemented to an FPGA-based system; FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) allows large-scale parallel computing by implementing a number of arithmetic operators within the device. The operator splitting method is used as the numerical time integration scheme. The logic circuit consists of blocks of circuits that perform numerical arithmetic operations that appear in the integration scheme, including addition and multiplication of floating-point numbers, registers to store the intermediate data, and data busses connecting these elements to transmit various information including the floating-point numerical data among them. Case study on several types of linear and nonlinear MDOF system models shows that use of resource sharing in logic synthesis is crucial for effective application of FPGA to real-time dynamic simulation of structural response with time step interval of 1 ms.

  • Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors(IGBTs) have received wide attention because of their high current conduction and good switching characteristics. To reduce the power loss of IGBT, the onstate voltage drop should be lowered and the switching time should be shortened. However, there is trade-off between the breakdown voltage and the on-state voltage drop. The FLoatingIsland(FLI) structure can lower the on-state voltage drop without reducing breakdown voltage. In this paper, The FLI IGBT shows an on-state voltage drop that is 22.5% lower than the conventional IGBT, even though the breakdown voltages of each IGBT are almost identical.

Resonant response of spar-type floating platform in coupled heave and pitch motion

  • In this paper, the resonance response of spar-type floating platform in coupled heave and pitch motion is investigated using a CPU time-effective numerical method. A coupled nonlinear 2-DOF equation of motion is derived based on the potential wave theory and the rigid-body hydrodynamics. The transient responses are solved by the fourth-order Runge-Kutta (RK4) method and transformed to the frequency responses by the digital Fourier transform (DFT), and the first-order approximation of heave response is analytically derived. Through the numerical experiments, the theoretical derivation and the numerical formulation are verified from the comparison with the commercial software AQWA. And, the frequencies of resonance arising from the nonlinear coupling between heave and pitch motions are investigated and justified from the comparison with the analytically derived first-order approximation of heave response.

초대형 콘크리트 케이슨 다단계 일괄 제작 및 운반공법 개발 (II) (Concrete Caisson Manufacturing and Transferring Apparatus and Method (II))

  • In conventional methods, the availability of floating crane has determined the size of a concrete caisson. However, this paper introduces a new method for larger caisson production that make it possible to complete caisson fabrication and launch out without use of floating crane. The new method carries out multi-step fabrication of caisson and horizontal transfer of caisson on a single casting bed which consists of collapsible soffit form, trough, aero go watercaster system or low frictional PTFE added jacking system, half-submergible floating dock. To make the new method successfully launched, the static and dynamic analysis is carried out to obtain the stability of caisson launching and experimental research is conducted in evaluating friction occurred between PTFE pad and steel track. Lastly, the comparison of the new method and the conventional method are detailed. With significant benefits in construction costs reduction and construction time reduction, this new method in this paper would be recommended for extensive application in large port and harbor construction projects.
