해양환경 중에서 Glass Flake 라이닝 강재의 부식방지에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Corrosion Control of Glass Flake Lining for Mild Steel in Marine Environment)

  • Port facilities and marine structures used in marine environment were encountered to corrosion damages because of the influence of Cl-. Generally, to protect these accidents, anti-corrosion paint and epoxy coating have been used. But they were still remained erosion-corrosion damage like impingement erosion, cavitation erosion and deposit attack. It is necessary to develope the new composite lining material in order to protective those corrosion damages. In this paper, polyester glass flake, vinylester glass flake lining and epoxy coating for SS400 were investigated by the electrochemical polarization test and the impingement-cavitation erosion test for corrosion behaviour under the sea water. The main results obtained are as follows ; 1) Epoxy coating appear potentiodynamic polarization behaviour, but polyester glass flake and vinylester glass flake lining do not appear potentiodynamic polarization behaviour. 2) Open circuit potential of polyester glass flake lining is more noble than that of epoxy coating and corrosion current density of polyester glass flake lining is less drained than that of epoxy coating in sea water. 3) Open circuit potential of vinylester glass flake lining is more noble than that of polyester glass flake lining and corrosion current density of vinylester glass flake lining is less drained than that of polyester glass flake lining in the sea water.

Generally, to protect these accidents, mainly applied anti-corrosion paint and epoxy coating. But it was still remained erosion-corrosion damage such as impingement erosion, cavitation erosion, deposit attack. There was needs to develope the new coating materials to protective those corrosion damages. This paper, polyester glass flake, vinylester glass flake lining and epoxy coating for SS were investigated electrochemical tests and cavitation erosion test for corrosion behaviour under sea water. The main results obtained are as follows, 1) Surface of epoxy coating appear erosion pin hole but surface of polyester glass flake and vinylester glass flake lining do not appear erosion pin hole after impingement-cavitation erosion test in sea water. 2) Weight loss of polyester glass flake and vinylester glass flake lining do not occur after impingement-cavitation erosion test in sea water. 3) Corrosion current density of polyester glass flake lining less drained than epoxy coating and substrate under corrosion potential.. 4) Corrosion current density of vinylester glass flake lining with three coating less drained than that of polyester glass flake lining with two coating.

은 플레이크 분말의 입자크기에 미치는 기계적 밀링 공정변수의 영향 (Effect of Mechanical Milling Parameters on the Particle Size of Silver Flake)

  • This study is focused on investigating the relation between the particle size of silver flake powder and mechanical milling parameters. Mechanical milling parameters such as ball size, impeller rotation speed and milling time of the attrition ball-mill were controlled to produce silver flake powder. The particle size of the silver flake powder increased with increasing ball size and impeller rotation speed. The change of the particle size of the silver flake powder with mechanical milling parameters was analyzed based on balls motion in the mill container of the attrition ball-mill. The silver flake particles were formed at the elastic deformation area of the ball due to the collision between balls. The change of the particle size of the silver flake powder with mechanical milling parameters well consists with the change of the collision energy of ball with parameters mentioned above.

거대배아미와 일반미를 이용하여 제조한 현미 flake의 품질특성 비교 (Quality Characteristics of Brown Rice Flakes Prepared with Giant Embryonic Rice and Normal Rice Cultivars)

  • 거대배아미 4품종과 각각의 일반미 4품종 등 8품종의 현미를 이용하여 간편식인 flake 제조에 대한 품질특성을 비교하였다. 쌀눈의 영양성분을 그대로 섭취할 수 있는 곡립상 현미 flake을 제조하기 위하여 우선 수침온도와 시간별 용출된 환원당함량, 수분흡수율, 쌀알의 경도를 측정하여 $60^{\circ}C$에서 5시간 수침한 후 곡립상 현미 flake을 만들었다. 일반품종으로 제조한 flake들에 비해서 거대배아미 품종으로 제조한 flake가 팽화도가 높고, 경도는 낮으며, 아삭아삭한 정도가 높은 바람직한 물성을 나타내었다. 거대배아미 품종으로 제조한 flake들의 bowl life가 일반품종들에 비해서 긴 경향이 있었으며, 특히 화청찰거대배아미로 제조한 현미 flake의 bowl life가 가장 길고, 화청벼로 제조한 현미 flake의 bowl life가 가장 짧았다. 제조된 flake의 전반적인 기호도는 메벼, 찰벼에 상관없이 거대배아미 품종으로 제조한 것들이 높았으며, 일반 품종간에서는 찰벼로 제조한 것이 메벼로 제조한 것보다는 유의적으로 높았다. 수침에 따른 수분흡수율은 제조된 flake의 bowl life 및 아삭아삭한 정도와 정의 상관성을 가지며 현미 flake의 수분흡수지수는 팽화도 및 bowl life와는 정의 상관성이 있었다. 관능검사상의 경도와는 부의 상관성이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 시험된 8개의 품종중에서 신선찰거대배아미 및 화청찰거대배아미 품종이 flake 제조에 가장 적합하였다.

기계적 밀링공정에 의한 은 플레이크 분말 제조 (Fabrication of Silver Flake Powder by the Mechanical Milling Process)

  • This study focuses on fabricating silver flake powder by a mechanical milling process and investigating the formation of flake-shaped particles during milling. The silver flake powder is fabricated by varying the mechanical milling parameters such as the amount of powder, ball size, impeller rotation speed, and milling time of the attrition ballmill. The particle size of the silver flake powder decreases with increasing amount of powder; however, it increases with increasing impeller rotation speed. The change in the particle size of the silver flake powder is analyzed based on elastic collision between the balls, taking energy loss of the balls due to the powder into consideration. The change in the particle size of the silver flake powder with mechanical milling parameters is consistent with the change in the diameter of the elastic deformation contact area of the ball, due to the collision between the balls, with milling parameters. The flake-shaped silver particles are formed at the elastic deformation contact area of the ball due to the collision.

Graphene Flakes를 이용한 전극 제작

  • ITO는 투명하면서도 전도성이 매우 높은 물질로 디스플레이 분야에서 전극으로 많이 사용된다. 하지만 ITO는 세라믹 물질이기 때문에 공정 단가가 높고, 유연성이 낮아 구부릴 경우 전도성이 파괴되며 충격에도 약하여 flexible한 소자에 적용할 수 없다. 또한 metal diffusion이 잘 일어나는 물질이기 때문에 OLED 소자의 특성을 저해한다. 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 ITO를 대체하여 graphene을 이용한 투명전극 연구개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. Graphene은 높은 mobility와 전도도를 가지고 있으며, 높은 열전도성, Young's modulus, 그리고 mechanical flexibility를 가진 물질이다. 최근에 이러한 장점들로 인해 ITO를 대체하는 물질로서 각광을 받고 있지만 graphene은 Cu, Ni과 같은 금속표면에 한정되어 성장하는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 이 graphene 합성방법은 전사과정을 필요로 하며, 이로 인해 낮은 생산성과 낮은 수율을 야기한다. 최근 높은 생산성을 가지는 graphene 전극을 만들기 위해 Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 rGO는 산화환원 과정에서 전기전도도와 electron mobility가 완벽히 회복되지 못한다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 그리하여 본 연구에서는 높은 투과도와 높은 전도도를 갖는 graphene 전극을 얻기 위해서 powdered graphene flake를 사용하였다. Graphene flake를 IPA solvent에 분산시키기 위해 sonicator과 homogenizer를 이용하여 Graphene flake solution을 제작하였다. 그리고 uniform한 전극을 만들기 위해 Spray Coating 방법을 이용하여 PET 기판 위에 graphene flake를 증착시켰다. graphene flake를 이용하여 높은 투과도와 낮은 면저항을 갖는 투명전극을 제작하고, 그 특성을 UV-visible spectrophotometer과 four point probe를 이용하여 확인하였다.

안료용 알루미늄 플레이크 분말 제조 (Fabrication of Al Flake Powder for Pigment)

  • The study for producing the flake powders by milling of aluminum foil and gas atomized powders was carried out. The effects of lifter bars on the ball motions and milling of aluminum foils were also investigated. The aluminum foils were laminated each other, elongated, fragmented into small foils and finally formed into the flake powders during the dry ball-milling. The spherical atomized-powders were milled to coarse flake powders with high aspect ratio and then changed to fine flake powders with lower aspect ratio. Even though long times were required for making flake powders by milling of foils, the water covering areas of them were higher than those of powders milled using gas-atomized powders, suggesting aluminum foils were more plastically deformed by micro-forging. On the other hand, as the number of lifter bars increased, the necessary rotation speeds of milling jar for cascading mode and cataracting mode decreased drastically. It was possible to achieve same quality of milled flake powder by using the lifter bars under the lower milling speeds. The painting test showed that the appearance of painted surface was good and optimum content range of aluminum paste in car paint to maximize the degree of gloss was 3-5%.

재생 페트 플레이크의 시장 현황과 품질 평가 방안 연구 (Study on the Market Conditions and Quality Evaluation Methods of post-consumer Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PCR PET) Flake)

  • PCR PET flake's market endeavors difficult situations of its oversupply and decreasing demands in South Korea. Since China banned the import of most recycled plastics, flake producers who mostly export the flakes lost their biggest market. The producers struggled to survive in the competitions with PCR PET flake from EU and 3rd countries but it was challenging due to substandard quality and increasing cost. Attempts to improve the quality of PCR PET flake have been made but they were only an individual company's efforts. The objective of this study was to understand the market status on PCR PET flake in South Korea and to present suggestions for improving its quality. The results of the questionnaires targeted to flake producers showed that no testing methods on PCR PET flake were standardized and there were critical factors to the quality such as moisture content, contaminants, and viscosity. Case studies of US, Japan and other countries had been done especially about testing methods and 76 samples from 21 companies were tested according to those methods. Based on the results, the final factors were decided as contaminants, moisture content, alkalinity index and intrinsic viscosity. There is a plan to standardize testing methods and they could be guidelines to improve the business competitiveness of PCR PET flake in South Korea.

입도에 따른 Flake Sendust 전파 흡수체의 특성 분석 (Analysis of Properties of Flake Sendust EM Wave Absorber according to Granularity)

  • 본 논문에서는 연자성 금속 분말인 sendust를 flake화 과정을 통하여 형상과 입도를 변화시켜 전파 흡수체를 제작하고, 그 특성을 분석하였다. 먼저 attrition milling에 의해 입도를 달리한 세 종류의 flake sendust 분말과 지지 재인 CPE(Chlorinated Polyethylene)를 이용하여 전파 흡수체를 제작하고, 이 전파 흡수체로부터 재료 정수를 계산하여 입도에 따른 변화를 조사한 후 전파 흡수능을 측정하여 비교 분석하였다. 그 결과 평균 입도가 $140{\mu}m$인 flake sendust 분말로 제작된 전파 흡수체가 와전류 손실의 감소(복소비 투자율 증가)와 입자간의 정전 용량의 증가(복소비 유전율 증가)에 기인하여 고주파 대역에서 우수한 전파 흡수능을 보임을 확인하였다.

Study on the rumen fermentation, growth performance and carcass characteristics according to the supplementation of lupin flake in Hanwoo steers

  • This study was conducted to determine the rumen fermentation dynamics of lupin flakes and elucidate the effects of lupin flake supplementation on the growth performance, blood metabolites, and carcass characteristics of Hanwoo steers. In vitro and in situ trials of lupin grains and lupin flakes were conducted using three Hanwoo cows with rumen fistulas. The feeding trial included 40 early-fattening Hanwoo steers randomly divided into four groups: control, T1, T2, and T3. Their formula feed contained 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% lupin flakes, respectively. In vitro rumen pH and ammonia concentrations were lower in the lupin flake group than in the lupin grain group after 6 and 24 h of incubation, respectively (p < 0.05). Concentrations of propionate, butyrate, and total volatile fatty acids were higher in the lupin flake group than in the lupin grain group after 12 h of incubation (p < 0.05), as was the crude protein disappearance rate at 9 and 12 h of rumen fermentation (p < 0.05). Supplementation with lupin flakes did not affect the average daily gain. Compared to that in the control group, dry matter intake was lower in the lupin flake-supplemented groups (p < 0.05); the feed conversion ratio was lower in T2 and T3 (p < 0.05); and plasma total protein concentration in 29-month-old steers was lower in T1 and T3 (p < 0.05). Plasma triglyceride concentration was lower in the lupin flake-supplemented groups than in the control group (p < 0.05). The incidence rate of yield grade A was higher in T1 and T2 than in the control group; the incidence rate of meat quality 1+ grade or higher was highest in T2. The carcass auction price was higher in T2 than in the other groups. Overall, compared to whole lupin grains, lupin flakes seem to more substantially affect rumen ammonia concentrations and crude protein disappearance rate. Additionally, we suggest that supplementation with 6% lupin flake formula feed exerts positive effects on the feed conversion ratio, yield grade, and quality grade of Hanwoo steers.
