Seven finite element models were constructed in mandible having single screw-type implant fixture connected to the premolar superstructure, in order to evaluate how the length, diameter and platform shape of a screw-type fixture influence the stress in the supporting tissue around fixtures. Each finite element model was varied in terms of length, diameter, and platform shape of the fixture. In each model, 250N of vertical load was placed on the central pit of an occlusal plane and 250N of oblique load placed on the buccal cusp. The stress distribution in the supporting tissue and the other components was analysed using 2-dimensional finite element analysis and the maximum von Mises stress in each reference area was compared. Under lateral loading, the stress was larger at the abutment/fixture interface, and in the crestal bone, compared to the stress pattern under vertical loading. The amount of stress at the superstructure was similar regardless of the length, diameter and platform shape of a fixture. Around the longer fixture, the stress was decreased at the bone crest and subjacent cancellous bone and increased in the cancellous bone area apical to the fixture. Around the wider fixture, the stress was decreased at the abutment/fixture interface, and the bone crest and increased in the cancellous bone area apical to the fixture. Around the fixture having wider platform, less stress was produced at the abutment/fixture interface and the upper part of the cortical bone, compared to the fixture having standard platform. In conclusion, the stress distribution of the supporting tissue was affected by length, diameter, and platform shape of a fixture, and the fixture which was larger in diameter and length could reduce the stress in the supporting tissues at the bone-fixture interface and bone crest area.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the stability of abutment screws used with the zirconia fixture-based implant system and compare them with those used with the existing titanium fixture system via the finite element method. Methods: A single implant-supported restoration was designed for the finite element analysis. A universal analysis program was used to set 8 occlusal points along the direction to the long axis of the implant, and an occlusal load of 700 N was applied. Results: In all models (Zir and Ti-fixture model), the screw threads presented with the highest von Mises stress (VMS) values, whereas the head and end presented with the lowest VMS values. The VMS of the screw used in the zirconia-fixture model was 5.97% lower than that used in the titanium-fixture model (261.258 vs. 276.911 MPa, respectively) despite statistical significance. Furthermore, the zirconia fixture (352.912 MPa) had a higher stress value (8.42%) than the titanium fixture (332.331 MPa). In a completely tightened titanium fixture implant system, the stress was concentrated in the implant-abutment connection interface, the zirconia fixture presented with a stable stress distribution. Conclusion: Although the zirconia fixture demonstrated a high VMS value, owing to the stiffness and elasticity coefficients of the material, the stress generated in the abutment screws was similar in all models. In conclusion, the zirconia fixture-based implant system presented with a more stable stress distribution in the abutment screws than the titanium fixture-based implant system.
Automotive and aircraft assembly process rely on fixtures to support and coordinate parts and subassemblies. Fixture layout in multi-station panel assemblies has a direct dimensional effect on final products and thus presents a quality problem. This paper describes a methodology for fixture layout design in multi -station assembly processes. An optimal fixture layout improves the robustness of a fixture system against environmental noises, reduces product variability, and eventually leads to manufacturing cost reduction. One of the difficulties raised by multi-station fixture layout design is the overwhelmingly large number of design alternatives. This makes it difficult to find a global optimality and, if an inefficient algorithm is used, may require prohibitive computing time. In this paper, simulated annealing is adopted and appropriate parameters are selected to find good fixture layouts. A four-station assembly process for a sport utility vehicle (SUV) side frame is used throughout the paper to illustrate the efficiency and effectiveness of this methodology.
Vibration test fixture is used in random vibration control testing. The specified reference spectrum should be transmitted equally to the specimen attachment points on the fixture. In most practical cases, however, spectrum at each of specimen attachment points may be quite different from the specified reference spectrum because of the dynamic characteristics of vibration test fixture. This paper proposes the method of experimental dynamic modification of fixture system for vibration test so that the reference spectrum can be transmitted to the specimen attachment points without distortion. The stiffness of mounts of specimen and the thickness of fixture are considered as design variables. The frequency response functions of specimen used for input data are obtained from vibration testing, and the frequency response functions of fixture are obtained from finite element modeling. The sensitivities of frequency response functions at specimen attachment points to the mount stiffness are derived from synthesis method of transfer function. And the sensitivities to the thickness of fixture are also derived from finite element modeling. The presented method is verified by computer simulation and vibration testing.

In this paper, we found the improved SPICE heat transfer modeling of impulsed magnetizing fixture system and investigated temperature characteristics using the proposed model. As the detailed thermal characteristics of magnetizing fixture can be obtained, the efficient design of the impulsed magnetizing fixture which produce desired magnet will be possible using our heat transfer modeling. The knowledge of the temperature of the magnetizing fixture is very important of forecast the characteristics of the magnetizing fixture which produce desired magnet will be possible using our heat transfer modeling. The knowledge of the temperature of the magnetizing fixture is very important to forecast the characteristics of the magnetizing circuits under different conditions. The capacitor voltage was not raised above 810[V] to protect the magnetizing fixture from excessive heating. The purpose of this work is to compute the temperature increasing for different magnetizing conditions. The method uses multi-lumped model with equivalent thermal resistance and thermal capacitance. The reliable results are obtained by using iron core fixture (stator magnet of air cleaner DC motor) coupled to a low-voltage magnetizer(charging voltage : 1000[V], capacitor : 3825[$\mu$F]. The modeling and experimental results are in close aggrement.

In this study, a scanning fixture for flexible parts such as large automotive panels is developed. For the minimization of the weight deflection of a hood outer panel, the N-2-1 fixture principle for flexible parts is adopted in the fixture design. The designed fixture for a hood outer panel is fabricated using the Alufix system. The springback of the entire hood outer panel can be measured successfully by the laser scanning with the developed fixture, which verifies the usefulness of the proposed design method for the flexible panels.

This is the continued paper as part 2 in this study. In order to prevent the production defects, the optimum design of product, fixtures and their making are very significant division. Especially the result of modelling and its analysis become the characteristics of this paper that nothing might be over seen before such as this type of research method on all processes.
The current interest in periodontal tissue regeneration has lead to research in bone graft, root surface treatments, guided-tissue regeneration, and the administration of growth factors as possible means of regenerating lost periodontal tissue. Several studies have shown that a strong correlation between platelet-rich plasma and the stimulation of remodeling and remineralization of grafted bone exists, resulting in a possible increase of 15-30% in the density of bone trabeculae. The purpose of this study was to study the histopathological correlation between the use of platelet-rich plasma and a bone xenograft used in conjunction with a non-resorbable guided-tissue membrane, e-PTFE, compared to a control group with regards to bone regeneration at the implant fixture site. Implant fixtures were inserted and graft materials placed into the left femur of in the experimental group, while the control group received only implant fixtures. In the first experimental group, platelet-rich plasma and BBP xenograft were placed at the implant fixture site, and the second experimental group had platelet-rich plasma, BBP xenograft, and the e-PTFE membrane placed at the fixture site. The degree of bone regeneration adjacent to the implant fixture was observed and compared histopathologically at 2 , 4, and 8 weeks after implant fixture insertion. The results of the experiment are as follows: 1. The rate of osseointegration to the fixture threads was found to be greater in the first experimental group compared to the control group. 2. The histopathological findings of the second experimental group showed rapid resorption of BBP with subsequent new bone formation replacing the resorbed BBP. 3. The second experimental group showed new bone formation in the area adjacent to the fixture threads beginning two weeks after fixture implantation, with continued bone remodeling in the areas mesial and distal to the fixture. 4. Significant new bone formation and bone remodeling was observed in both experimental groups near the implant fixture sites. 5. The rate of osseointegration at the fixture threads was greater in the second experimental group compared to the first group, and the formation of new bone and trabeculae around the fixture site occurred after the fourth week in the second experimental group. The results of the experiment suggest that a greater degree of new bone formation and osseointegration can occur at the implant fixture site by utilizing platelet-rich plasma and bone xenografts, and that these effects can be accelerated and enhanced by concurrent use of a non-resorbable guided tissue membrane.
The test specimen in environmental vibration test is connected to the fixture through several attachment points. The forces generated by the shaker must be transmitted equally to all attachment points. The forces transmitted to attachment points, however, are different because of the flexural vibration of the fixture. The variations of the transmitted force cause the under-test, especially at anti-resonance frequencies, in vibration test control. Anti-resonance frequencies at the attachment points of the fixture must be same in order to avoid the under-test in vibration test control. The structural modification of the fixture is needed so that anti-resonance frequencies at attachment points have the same value. In this paper, the method to calculate the anti-resonance frequencies and those sensitivities is presented. This sensitivity analysis is applied to the structural modification of the fixture excited at multi-points by the shaker. The antiresonance frequencies at the attachment points of the fixture can have the same value after structural modification, and the under-test in the vibration test control can be removed. Several computer simulations show that the proposed method can remove the under-tests, which are not removed in conventional vibration test control.
