Input Current Ripple Reduction Algorithm for Interleaved DC-DC Converter (다상 DC-DC 컨버터의 입력 전류 리플 저감 제어 알고리즘)

  • Input current ripple and harmonic components of the power device are main causes of electromagnetic interference (EMI). Although the discontinuous conduction mode (DCM) operation can reduce harmonic components of the power device by reducing reverse recovery current of diode and turn-off voltage spikes of the switch, input current ripple increases due to high peak to peak inductor current. Therefore, in this paper, frequency control algorithm is proposed to reduce the input current ripple of DCM operated interleaved boost converter. In the proposed algorithm, duty ratio is fixed either 0.33 or 0.67 to minimize the input current ripple and the switching frequency is controlled according to operating conditions. 600 W 3-phase interleaved boost converter prototype system is built to verify proposed algorithm.

  • This paper proposes single logarithmic amplification (single-LA) and deep learning (DL)-based fixed-threshold on-off keying (OOK) detection for free-space optical (FSO) communication. Multilevel LAs (MLAs) can be used to mitigate intensity fluctuations in the received OOK signal by their nonlinear gain characteristics; however, it is ineffective in the case of high scintillation, owing to degradation of the OOK signal's extinction ratio. Therefore, a DL technique is applied to realize effective scintillation compensation in single-LA applications. Fully connected (FC) networks and fully connected neural networks (FCNN), which have nonlinear modeling characteristics, are deployed in this work. The performance of the proposed method is evaluated through simulations under various scintillation effects. Simulation results show that the proposed method outperforms the conventional adaptive-threshold-decision, single-LA-based, MLA-based, FC-based, and FCNN-based OOK detection techniques.

  • This paper presents multi-PI controller of IPMSM drive using fuzzy and neural-network. In general, PI controller in computer numerically controlled machine process fixed gain. To increase the robustness, fred gain PI controller, Multi-PI controller proposes a new method based fuzzy and neural-network. Multi-PI controller is developed to minimize overshoot and settling time following sudden parameter changes such as speed, load torque, inertia, rotor resistance and self inductance. The results on a speed controller of IPMSM are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed gain tuner. And this controller is better than the fixed gains one in terms of robustness, even under great variations of operating conditions and load disturbance.

  • This paper describes a CMOS image sensor (CIS) with dual correlated double sampling (CDS) and column-parallel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) and its measurement method using a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) integrated module. The CIS is composed of a $320{\times}240$ pixel array with $3.2{\mu}m{\times}3.2{\mu}m$ pixels and column-parallel 10-bit single-slope ADCs. It is fabricated in a $0.11-{\mu}m$ CIS process, and consumes 49.2 mW from 1.5 V and 3.3 V power supplies while operating at 6.25 MHz. The measured dynamic range is 53.72 dB, and the total and column fixed pattern noise in a dark condition are 0.10% and 0.029%. The maximum integral nonlinearity and the differential nonlinearity of the ADC are +1.15 / -1.74 LSB and +0.63 / -0.56 LSB, respectively.

  • Nowadays, there are actually lots of changes in wireless communications of Korea. But it is not an exact PTP(Peer to Peer) Communication. In other words, a mobile station which can find fixed station can be connected with wireless internet server or other services, oppositely fixed station cannot approach to mobile station. Even though it exists, it is difficult to communicate with full duplex. We can service using CDMA 1X techniques such as cellular based SMS (Short Message Service) service or very simple MPRG Services. In this paper, we propose a system, using DirectX based mobile/fixed station stand alone program, depending on bandwidth of wireless service provider, tranceiving high resolution moving picture or reliable data regularly by a fixed connection each other.

  • In this paper, the triple-band planar monopole antennas are designed for cellular communication, WiBro and WLAN(IEEE802.11b/g) communication and WLAN(IEEE802.11a) communication of 5GHz band to using filled mobile convergence subscriber unit. Various types of antennas are designed and examined experimentally as bended in the low and middle band radiation elements to decrease antennas size and increased the width of radiation elements to improve bandwidth The proposed antennas are reduced by 11% in antenna size with bended low-band radiation elements down and are extended by $30%{\sim}40%$ in bandwidth by increasing the width of the radiation element at 800MHz band.

  • Cooperative Communication using relays which include network separated into fixed cooperative relaying and incremental cooperative relaying defending on method receiving signal from a source. If some nodes included network is Primary user ad source and destination, another is Secondary user as relay, The nodes included network excepting source can help PU transmit signal. In the case of all of SU playing a role as relay, destination can get diversity gain, but useless time slot is consumed for transmitting signal.   • Just like terrestrial cellular networks, underwater cellular communication networks, which can manage the overall network resource by adaptively allocating backhaul resource for each base station according to its ingress traffic, are necessary. In this paper, a new resource allocation protocol is proposed for the underwater cellular communication network, allocating backhaul resource of a base station proportional to its ingress traffic to the base station. This protocol is classified into two types dependent upon allocation period: the resource allocation protocol with adaptive period and that with fixed period. In order to determine a proper resource allocation protocol, the performance of the two protocols, in terms of reception rate, message overhead, and latency is compared and investigated via simulation. As a result, the resource protocol with adaptive period outperforms that with fixed period; the resource allocation protocol with fixed period results in a maximum of $10^2$ order longer queueing delay as well as $10^2$ order greater message overhead than that with adaptive period.

Real-time Implementation of Speech and Channel Coder on a DSP Chip for Radio Communication System (무선통신 적용을 위한 단일 DSP칩상의 음성/채널 부호화기 실시간 구현)

  • This paper deals with procedures and results for teal time implementation of G.729 speech coder and channel coder including convolution codec, viterbi decoder, and interleaver using a fixed point DSP chip for radio communication systems. We described the method for real-time implementation based on integer simulation results and explained the implemented results by quality performance and required complexity for real-time operation. The required complexity was 24MIPS and 9MIPS in computational load, and 12K words and 4K words in execution code length for speech and channel. The functional evaluation was performed into two steps. The one was bit exact comparison with a fixed point C code, the other was executed by actual speech samples and error test vectors. Unlik other results such as individual implementation, We implemented speech and channel coders on a DSP chip with 160MIPS computation capability and 64 K words memory on chip. This results outweigh the conventional methods in the point of system complexity and implementation cost for radio communication system.
