The main challenge in building efficient broadcast systems is to encrypt messages with short ciphertexts. In this paper, we present a new construction based on the identity. Our construction contains the desirable features, such as constant size ciphertexts and private keys, short public keys and not fixing the total number of possible users in the setup. In addition, the proposed scheme achieves the full security which is stronger than the selective-identity security. Furthermore we show that the proof of security does not rely on the random oracles. To the best our knowledge, it is the first efficient scheme that is full security and achieves constant size ciphertexts and private keys which solve the trade-off between the ciphertext size and the private key size.
This manuscript is divided into three segments. In the first segment, we formulate a unique common fixed point theorem satisfying generalized Meir-Keeler contraction on partially ordered metric spaces and also give an example to demonstrate the usability of our result. In the second segment of the article, some common coupled fixed point results are derived from our main results. In the last segment, we investigate the solution of some periodic boundary value problems. Our results generalize, extend and improve several well-known results of the existing literature.
This article discusses the contributions of the leader Oswald Veblen, who was the president of AMS during 1923-1924. In 2006, Korea ranked 12th in SCIE publications in mathematics, more than doubling its publications in less than 10 years, a successful model for a country with relatively short history of modern mathematical research. Now there are 192 four-year universities in Korea. Some 42 of these universities have Ph.D. granting graduate programs in mathematics and/or mathematical education in Korea. Rapid growth is observed over a broad spectrum including a phenomenal performance surge in International Mathematical Olympiad. Western mathematics was first introduced in Korea in the 17th century, but real significant mathematical contributions by Korean mathematicians in modern mathematics were not much known yet to the world. Surprisingly there is no Korean mathematician who could be found in MaC Tutor History Birthplace Map. We are at the time, to have a clear vision and leadership for the 21st century. Even with the above achievement, Korean mathematical community has had obstacles in funding. Many people thinks that mathematical research can be done without funding rather unlike other science subjects, even though they agree fundamental mathematical research is very important. We found that the experience of early American mathematical community can help us to give a vision and role model for Korean mathematical community. When we read the AMS Notice article 'The Vision, Insight, and Influence of Oswald Veblen' by Steve Batterson, it answers many of our questions on the development of American mathematics in early 20th century. We would like to share the story and analyze its meaning for the development of Korean Mathematics of 21st century.
In this paper, we analyzed the freshmen's achievements on general mathematics their GPA based on 'basic mathematics diagonal test score' among college entrance types in natural science or engineering. Also, we studied the achievements of students who were not passed the 'Basic Mathematics Diagonal Test (BMDT)' and had to take supplementary lessons to improve their mathematics abilities four times a week during the first semester of academic year 2012 in Mokpo National University. We found the followings; first, freshmen were accepted by the university through the regular admission have a higher level of academic achievement compared other type admission. Second, freshmen's academic achievement in the first semester has significant meaningful effect on their academic achievement in the second semester. Finally, there are correlations between achievements of general mathematics and a curriculum of freshmen who were passed test after taking supplementary lessons.
Despite the importance of mathematics education, many students in high school have lost their interests and felt difficulties and they don't have 'mathematical' experience with meanings attached because of the entrance examination. This paper attempted to resolve these problems and find the teaching-method with which students can study by themselves with more confidence. Nowadays students' use of Internet is very popular. After develop 'the development of mathematical power' program based on mathematics history, history, science, the application of problems in real world, and self-evaluation, I made students repeat them after making teaching lessons in classroom as moving pictures. Through this processes, I attempted to develop the Self-Directed Learning' ability by making public education substantial. First of all I analyzed the actual conditions on 'Self-Directed Learning' ability in mathematics subject, the conditions of seeing and hearing in Internet learning program, and students' and their parents' interests in Internet education. By analyzing the records, I observed the significance of the introducing mathematics history in mathematics subject in early stager, cooperative-learning, leveled-learning, self-directed learning, and Internet learning. Actually in aspect of applying 'the development of mathematical power' program, at first I made up the educational conditions to fix the program, collected the teaching materials, established the system of teaching-learning model, developed materials for the learning applying Internet mail and instruments of classroom, and carried out instruction to establish and practice mathematics learning plan. Then I applied the teaching-learning model of leveled cooperation and presentation loaming and at the same time constructed and used the leveled learning materials of complementary, average, and advanced process and instructed to watch teaching moving pictures through Internet mail and in the classroom. After that I observed how effective this program was through the interest arid attitude toward mathematics subject, learning accomplishment, and the change of self-directed learning. Finally, I wrote the conclusion and suggestion on the preparation of conditions fur the students' voluntary participation in mathematics learning and the project and application on 'the development of mathematical power' program and repeated learning with the materials of moving pictures in classroom.

Screen splitting is one of the fundamental tasks in different methods including video and image compression, screen classification, screen content coding and the like. These methods in turn support various applications in data communications, remote screen sharing, remote desktop delivery to assist teaching-learning, telemedicine, Desktop as a Service etc. In the literature we find systems requiring splitting assumes a fixed size split that do not change dynamically, also there is no analysis why that split is chosen in terms of performance. By doing mathematical analysis this paper first finds the efficient splitting schemes that can be easily automated to make a system adaptive. Thereafter, taking the screen motion detection as a case study, it demonstrates the effects of various splitting methods on motion detection performance. The simulation results clearly shows how classification performances varies with different splitting which will facilitate to choose the best splitting for a specific application scenario as well as making the system adaptive by providing dynamic splitting.
In refuse landfill, long-term settlement is considerably dependent upon the biological decomposition of refuse which is distinguished from typical soil behavior. Two equations are combined in order to model long-term settlement behavior of refuse landfill caused by mechanical secondary compression and secondary compression caused by the decomposition of biolegradable refuse. It is suggested that mechanical secondary compression is linear with respcet to the logarithm of time. In order to estimate the settlement that occurs due. to the decomposition of biodegradable refuse, a mathematical model is used which theoretically conoiders the decomposition process related to the solubilization stage of biodegradable refuse solid. This model is based on hydrolysis process and expressed as first order kinetics. The proposed model is applied to Lysimeter compression data of an old refuse. This paper intends to propose the simplest mathematical model which effectively represents settlement caused by the solubilization stage of biodegradable refuse solid on decomposition process.
Due to the failure of the instrument and control devices of nuclear power plants caused by aging, nuclear power plants occasionally trip. Even a trip of a single nuclear power plant (NPP) causes an extravagant economical loss and deteriorates public acceptance of nuclear power plants. Therefore, the replacement of the instrument and control devices with proper consideration of the aging effect is necessary in order to prevent the inadvertent trip. In this paper we investigated the optimal replacement periods of the control computer's components of Wolsung nuclear power plant Unit 1. We first derived mathematical models for optimal replacement periods to the digital control computer's components of Wolsung NPP Unit 1 and calculated the optimal replacement periods analytically. We compared the periods with the replacement periods currently used at Wolsung NPP Unit 1. The periods used at Wolsung is not based on mathematical analysis, but on empirical knowledge. As a consequence, the optimal replacement periods analytically obtained and those used in the field show a little difference.

Decision models are an attempt to reduce uncertainty in the decision making process. The models describe the relationships of variables and given proper input data generate solutions to managerial problems. These solutions may not be answers to the problems for one of two reasons. First, the data input into the model may not be consistant with the underlying assumptions of the model being used. Frequently parameters are assumed to be deterministic when in fact they are probabilistic in nature. The second failure is that often the decision maker recognizes that the data available are not appropriate for the model being used and begins to collect the required data. By the time these data has been compiled the solution is no longer an answer to the problem. This relates to the timeliness of decision making. The authors point out throught the use of an illustrative problem that stocastic models are well developed and that they do not suffer from any lack of mathematical exactiness. The primary problem is that generally accepted procedures for data generation are historical in nature and not relevant for probabilistic decision models. The authors advocate that management information system designers and accountants must become more familiar with these decision models and the input data required for their effective implementation. This will provide these professionals with the background necessary to generate data in a form that makes it relevant and timely for the decision making process.
The moving trajectory of a golf ball is mainly determined by the angles of the clubface and the trajectory of the club shaft. This paper presents a computer program for analyzing the position and angles of the club while the club moves in a circular motion. For this purpose, a mathematical algorithm was developed and implemented on the experimental data(5 m and 10 m carries) using VC++ and OpenGL. A skilled female golfer(174 cm, 65 kg, 0 handicap) was participated in data collection for the short approach shots. An iron club(Titleist 52 degree, 91.5 cm length, 450 g mass), attached with five reflective markers(12 mm), was used to collect experimental data. However, exact 3D coordinates and angles of the clubface are not directly calculated from measured data. A reverse engineering platform(Minolta Vivid910 hardware and Rapidform software) was thus employed to acquire the scanned data of the clubface. The scanned data and measured data were first aligned by applying appropriate coordinate transformations, and then exact coordinates and angles of clubface could be obtained at each position during circular motion. The program(Club Motion Analysis 1.0) exports the open, heel, loft angles of the club.
